Abstract: A mechanical switch having two contacting sliding plates which have conductive parts periodically dispersed in an insulating background in a spatial period and a current assembling member for gathering currents from the conductive parts, and a driving device for reciprocating two sliding plates in parallel to the surface relatively by about half a period. The driving device cuts or leads a current from one sliding plate to the other by displacing the sliding plates. Parallel movement of the plates suppresses the occurrence of arc discharge in shutting a big current. The short stroke of the displacement gives high speed switching to the device.
Abstract: Disclosed is a printed circuit board assembly including an integral metal stamping having a plurality of conductive circuit paths received in complementarily-shaped recesses of a dielectric substrate. The integral metallic stamping includes an improved snap action switch having an improved actuator mechanism, an improved rotary switch of the type making on/off contact during rotation thereof, and an upstanding plug-like connector member receivable in a mating female connector. Each of the switches mentioned above as well as the plug-like connector can be formed separately in different printed circuit board assemblies.

Abstract: A control center for distributing electric power characterized by a cabinet enclosing bus bars, a drawout stab assembly comprising a dielectric housing containing a clamping jaw for each bus bar, each clamping jaw having a wedge and wedge-receiving means for clamping the jaws tightly on the bus bar, and a nut and bolt assembly for releasably clamping the wedge in place.
Abstract: A telescoping disconnect switch for isolated phase bus has a cylindrical movable conductor having a plurality of individual contact assemblies each comprising a contact finger and an axially loaded spring fixedly attached thereto. The contact assemblies are circumferentially arranged about the movable conductor and are removably secured between a contact holder ring and a spring retainer ring. A plurality of stabilizer pads are symmetrically arranged around the circumference of the movable conductor between the contact fingers and are fixedly secured to the movable conductor to stabilize the contact assemblies and align the conductor as it moves to open and close the circuit.
