Both Ends Of Spring Are Carried By Blade (e.g., Leaf Spring) Patents (Class 200/456)
  • Patent number: 8193464
Abstract: Disclosed is a micro switch having a high capability of cutting off a direct current. In the micro switch including a stationary contact, a movable contact having a closed position where it contacts the stationary contact or an open position where it is separated from the stationary contact, a movable contact rod for supporting the movable contact, a plunger for pressurizing the movable contact rod upon being pressed, and a leaf spring for supplying a driving force to the movable contact rod to convert a position of the contacts being contacted or separated, a permanent magnet is installed at a position adjacent to the movable contact and the stationary contact, so as to extend an arc generated between the movable contact and the stationary contact upon separating the movable contact from the stationary contact, whereby the arc can be fast extinguished.

  • Patent number: 5913415
Abstract: A movable leaf having a movable contact is fixed to a common terminal, and a displacement absorber absorbing the displacement of the movable leaf is provided in the vicinity of the portion of the movable leaf connected to the common terminal. A lever member is attached to a case in a rotatable manner. A movable spring member is connected at one end to a free end of the lever member in a rotatable manner and is connected at the other end to the movable leaf. When an actuation plunger is depressed, a point of connection between the movable spring member and the lever member is moved beyond a point of joint between the movable leaf and the common terminal.

  • Patent number: 5086198
Abstract: An electric switch comprising a fixed contact attached to a casing, a moveable contact piece carrying a moveable contact, an elastic piece which is actuated by an external force between two positions which are located on either side of the moveable contact piece along the common direction of motion of the moveable contact piece and the elastic piece, and a U-shaped spring member engaged between the free ends of the moveable contact piece and the elastic piece. As the elastic piece is moved past the moveable contact piece, the spring action of the U-shaped spring member upon the moveable contact piece changes its direction in such a manner that the moveable contact is positively pressed upon the fixed contact or displaced away from the latter without producing any indeterminate state of contact between the moveable and fixed contacts.

  • Patent number: 5082997
Abstract: Switch of the tilting blade type wherein the spring blade (35) provides for the tension of the moving blade (38) and the return of the pusher (39); under the action of the pusher(39) the spring blade (35) separates progressively from the inclined terminal (34); the inclination value is given for products in compliance with standard (DIN 41635, shape A); the closure system of the case comprises flanges which retain the cover; the shaft of the accessories is cast in a single operation.

  • Patent number: 5006681
Abstract: A leaf spring system, in particular for influencing a least one body operating or comprising one or more contacts of an electric switch, with a frame aperature and at least one leaf spring which can act on the at least one body. The leaf spring system comprises a supporting frame for receiving the leaf spring in the frame aperture thereof. The spring is supported at one end and has another projecting free end whereby the one body to be influenced by the spring action is accommodated between this other end and the supporting frame. The dimension of the body in the frame aperture is greater than the distance between the edge of the supporting frame and the free end of the at least one leaf spring when the latter is situated essentially in the plane of the supporting frame. The supporting frame is secured against movement relative to the leaf spring and body. The invention further relates to electric switches provided with such a leaf spring system.

  • Patent number: 4939329
Abstract: A roller activated switch with an unlimited number of triggering points, a preferred embodiment featuring linear activation by a rod upon the roller. The switch unit receives a moveable member upon the roller in its housing. The moveable member rolls a spring-biased roller to an off center position, thus activating or deactivating contacts upon any movement of the moveable member beyond a small increment. The switch rapidly responds to any reversing movement of the moveable member upon the roller no matter what absolute position the moveable member is in, at the time, thus having an unlimited number of changeable triggering points independent of contact pressure and having an overtravel limited only by the length of the moveable member. This feature results in the switch having the ability to establish its own triggering points. Thus, absolute triggering becomes automatic.

  • Patent number: 4873402
Abstract: A push-button switch having a lamp portion and a switch portion. The lamp portion includes a lamp, a lamp holder, a lamp casing, and a housing. The lamp holder is fixed within the housing and the lamp casing moves up or down to turn off or turn on the switch. The switch portion of the push-button switch includes a switch base, a plunger, and a cam. The plunger moves in conjunction with the lamp casing and has a cam formed on one end. The cam is guided along guides that are formed on the switch base, and holds the lamp casing and plunger in a raised position in which the switch is turned off and a lowered position in which the switch is turned off.
