  • Patent number: 6995328
Abstract: A horn switch gear includes a backward moving body, a stationary body, a biasing member, and a pair of contact members. The backward moving body, which is configured to move backward, faces the stationary body. The biasing member, which is interposed between the backward moving body and the stationary body, biases the backward moving body in a restoring direction. The contact members, which are brought into or out of contact with each other by a forward or backward movement of the backward moving body, are moved together with the backward moving body. The stationary body includes an interposition which is interposed between the contact members for separating the contact members while the backward moving body is in a restored position, and which moves away from between the contact members to bring the contact members into contact with each other while the backward moving body is in a backward position.

  • Patent number: 6989526
Abstract: A device for detecting switching positions of an element movable along a detent curve. The device includes an optical transmitter and an optical receiver. A shutter is between the transmitter and the receiver. The shutter moves relative to the transmitter and the receiver in response to the element moving between switching positions. A light-beam aperture is on the detent curve at a point corresponding to a given switching position such that the light-beam aperture and a shutter aperture of the shutter are aligned when the element is in the given switching position. One of the transmitter and the receiver is positioned behind the detent curve and aligned with the light-beam aperture viewed from the direction of the other of the transmitter and the receiver such that light travels from the transmitter through the light-beam and shutter apertures to illuminate the receiver when the element is in the given switching position.

When an operation lever and a bracket are returned to a neutral position from a left-turn indicating position or a right-turn indicating position, the force of the shaft portion of the ratchet is weakened through the abutment of the shaft portion of the ratchet against a bearing surface of the restricting projecting portion, whereby the passage of the shaft portion across the apex portion of the cam projecting portion to an opposite side is restricted. Abstract: The invention relates to a steering column switch for vehicles, especially a switch for front and back windscreen wiping/washing switches comprising two rotating switches (6, 17) arranged at a distance from each other and integrated into a switch lever (1). Said rotating switches comprise contact bridges provided with a plurality of contact arms which are respectively secured onto a rotating switch element (8), and impinge upon the switch contact bridges (14, 21) with associated connecting contacts (16, 23) which are connected to the contacts on the edge of the network. Said connecting contacts (16, 23) are connected to the contacts of the vehicle wiring system by a flexible printed circuit board (29). Starting form the connection (30) with the vehicle wiring system, said printed circuit board (29) comprises a line (31) which branches off into two other lines (35, 36) with a respective connection (37, 38), whereby one of said branches leads into another line (41) with a connection (42).

Abstract: A switch assembly includes a rotary-push switch group placed on a switch lever. The switch group includes rotary and push switches each having movable contacts supported on corresponding fixed contacts. The rotary switch includes a rotary actuating element actuable to rotate about a longitudinal axis of the switch lever to actuate its movable contacts. The push switch includes an actuating element actuable to move axially along the longitudinal axis in response to axially directed pushing movement to actuate its movable contacts. The fixed contacts associated with the movable contacts of the rotary switch lie in a plane transverse to the longitudinal axis. A slider is engaged to the rotary actuating element to rotate therewith to guide the movable contacts of the rotary switch concentrically about the longitudinal axis. The slider is push-decoupled to the rotary actuating element such that pushing movement is absent from being felt by the slider.
