  • Patent number: 8821698
Abstract: A multi purpose segmented Titanium Mixed Metal Oxide coated impressed current cathodic protection anode assembly (Ti MMO anode assembly). The Ti MMO anode assembly includes combinations selected from four anode components and four connection components. The various components may be assembled for different applications in liquid or soil environments for the prevention or reduction of corrosion and loss of structural integrity. For example, the Ti MMO anode assembly may be applied to protect pipelines, buried structures, piers and internal surface protection of tanks and vessels in different arrangements such as deep wells, shallow ground beds, or distributed individual anodes.

Abstract: To provide an anode, corrosion-protecting structure of a concrete constructions using this, and a corrosion protection method capable of protecting electrical corrosion, with little generation of gas due to electrolysis of water or chlorine compounds, by decreasing as far as possible the amount of processing performed on the structural body in on-site construction work and suppressing the voltage that is conducted therethrough to a low level. [Solution] A corrosion-protecting structure (1) is constituted by attaching an anode (10) to the surface layer (3) of a corrosion-protecting body (4) through a first electrolyte layer (12) on one face of a conductive layer (11) formed as a sheet. The electrolyte is formed as a sheet. The first electrolyte layer (12) having adhesiveness is attached to the conductive layer (11) and the surface layer (3) of the corrosion-protecting body (4).

  • Patent number: 7578910
Abstract: Improved deep well grounding systems of the kind used for cathodic protection of ground installations according to the invention employ a combination of materials for the casing of the central metallic anode and the backfill in the well which exhibit a degree of permeability sufficient to allow by-product gases develop in ordinary use of this system to escape, avoiding unwanted cavitation, while minimizing the migration of ground water and the attendant undesirable environmental pollution.

Abstract: This invention is to reduce the influence of a gas generated by an anodizing reaction. A silicon substrate (101) to be processed is horizontally held. A negative electrode (129) is arranged on the upper side of the silicon substrate (101), and a positive electrode (114) is brought into contact with the lower surface of the silicon substrate (101). The space between the negative electrode (129) and the silicon substrate (101) is filled with an HF solution (132). The negative electrode (129) has a number of degassing holes (130) to prevent a gas generated by the anodizing reaction from staying on the lower side of the negative electrode (129).
