Abstract: An anti-theft container which can help prevent a contained article from being easily stolen. The anti-theft container includes a casing having an access opening; a locking member with a substantially L-shaped cross section with a blocking piece with a backwards pulling movement covering the access opening of the casing; and a slidable member mounted on the casing, capable of locking the locking member in position to the access opening when being installed in position, and allowing the locking member to be pulled backwards from the access opening when not installed in position. With this anti-theft container, the contained article can be taken our only by using a special unlocking piece held by the owner. This anti-theft container can therefore effectively protect a contained article against theft.

Abstract: A security container for holding an object includes a frame forming a storage chamber. The frame has an access opening for inserting and removing the object into and from the storage chamber. A lock mechanism is mounted on the frame and movable between locked and unlocked positions. The lock mechanism selectively blocks and unblocks the access opening. The locked mechanism includes at least one mechanically activated locking element and at least one magnetically activated locking element. Each of the locking elements includes a cantilevered locking finger that is movable between locked and unlocked positions. The magnetically activated locking finger is movable to the unlocked position through use of a magnet while the mechanically activated locking element is moved to the unlocked position through use of a pin. Each locking finger engages a blocking plate that is disposed on the sliding member of the locked mechanism.

Abstract: The invention provides a child-resistant apparatus for dispensing articles which comprises a housing for retaining a blister package wherein the, housing comprises a dispensing aperture; optionally, but preferably, a blister package comprising at least one blister cell containing an article to be dispensed; and a substantially rigid backing sheet substantially co-extensive with, and substantially blocking, the dispensing aperture wherein the backing sheet comprises exposed end portions, such that pressure applied on either exposed end portion individually, or on both exposed end portions simultaneously of the backing sheet, imparts arcuate flexure thereto and dislocation thereof from the substantially co-extensive, and substantially blocking position, to a position where the dispensing aperture is unblocked permitting the article contained in the blister cell to be dispensed.

Abstract: A carrying case for electronic equipment, such as a portable computer, includes back, front, top, bottom and side walls defining an interior including a compartment for receiving electronic equipment defined between a wall surface and a floating panel of the carrying case. The floating panel is selectively movable linearly toward and away from the wall surface to adjust the size of the compartment in accordance with the size of the electronic equipment received therein. A securing mechanism within the interior resiliently biases the floating panel toward the wall surface and provides a shock or impact absorbing effect for the electronic equipment. The carrying case has a handle including first and second handle portions rotatable between an engaged position wherein the handle portions are in abutment and a disengaged position wherein the handle portions are separated from one another. The first and second handle portions are configured to automatically matingly engage one another when rotated into abutment.

Abstract: A holder system for holding at least one socket includes an elongated base, which has a slide slot. Each of a plurality of socket receiving members has a lower retaining portion retained axially and movably on the base, and an upper insert portion that is formed integrally on an upper end of the lower retaining portion and that is adapted to extend into the socket. The upper insert portion includes an integral resilient unit, which is formed with a nub unit that is adapted to be biased to engage a groove in the socket. A lock rod is received slidably within the slide slot in the base, and is disposed under the socket receiving members. A top surface of the lock rod is formed integrally with an upwardly projecting pushing rib unit that is adapted to press the resilient unit against the inner surface of the socket so as to engage the nub unit with the groove in the socket, thereby preventing removal of the socket from the socket receiving member.

Abstract: A medicine safety storage system restricts access to medicines to authorized persons who have pre-programmed a microprocessor to recognize their unique fingerprint. The system includes a housing portion, a cap portion and means for releasably locking the cap portion to the housing portion. The housing portion is generally hollow for holding at least one medicine container. The cap portion includes a scanner touch screen, an optical scanner and a microprocessor electrically connected to a power source. The microprocessor includes means for converting optical information relating to a fingerprint to optical fingerprint data, a permanent memory for storing the optical fingerprint data and means for comparing optical information relating to a subsequent fingerprint to the stored optical fingerprint data. The means for releasably locking the cap portion to the housing portion includes a motor electrically connected to the microprocessor and to the power source.

Abstract: A security storage box for papers, such as banknotes or cheques, comprising an open-topped container and lid separate from the container and being formed to close the open top of the container. The container comprises substantially continuous peripheral container flange. This horizontal container flange is being provided with a plurality of through apertures. The lid includes a horizontal, substantially continuous peripheral lid flange formed to overly the container flange and is provided with lid hooks, formed and aligned to engage with the container flange apertures. To improve the resistance of the boxes against fraud and pilferage, the container flange around its peripheral outer edges of the side and end walls is integrally connected to a security flange extending parallel to the side and end walls in the direction of the bottom wall, the lid being provided with a cover flange being formed to overly the security flange at the side and rear end walls.

Abstract: The invention relates to child-resistant package having a shell with a first locking part and a tray having blister card coupled to a tether having a second locking part. In a closed position the first locking part engages the second locking part to limit the movement of the tray relative to the shell. A release part is provided and is operable to disengage the first and second locking parts and free the tray to move from the closed position to an open position.

The retention member (33) is mounted on one of the flap member (26) or the panel (22) while the capture element (37) is located on the other one of the flap member (26) or the panel (22). Regardless of which portion of the flap retention arrangement (30) is mounted on one of the flap member (26) or the panel (22), the retention member (33) and the capture element (37) are situated so as to make contact with each other when the flap member (26) is moved to the second position. This contact retains the flap member (26) in the second position.

Abstract: A sealed operator is provided for operating an internal locking control element for a closure head for the inner container in a dual container hazardous waste storage system. The operator includes a cylindrical housing in which a bushing/operator element assembly is mounted for translational movement. The latter assembly includes a cylindrical bushing sealingly mounted in the housing, a spherical bearing assembly including an annular outer bearing press fit within the bushing and an annular inner bearing. An operator element is press fit within the inner surface of the inner bearing. The operator element includes a driving head which engages the locking control element for the closure head of the inner container.

Abstract: A device for holding blister packs has first and second members, which are operable between an open condition to allow removal of products from the blister packs, and a closed condition to prevent this. The blister packs are not removable from the device. The blister packs may be retained by panels overlying their bases. The members can be retained in their closed conditions by a child-resistant closure.

Abstract: The invention generally provides a security storage container for items of recorded media. The device automatically closes and locks when the item of recorded media is inserted into the security storage container. A locking mechanism having dual locking fingers is used to hold the device in the locked configuration. The security storage container may be configured to allow compact discs and DVD jewel boxes and other storage containers to be loaded in a “spine-out” configuration while fully displaying the front cover of the storage container.

Abstract: The invention provides a security seal having a first portion and a second portion separated from the first portion by at least one line of weakness. The first portion has at least one detent. The first and second portions lie in a single plane and each detent protrudes out of that plane. The invention also provides a container and lid combination, comprising a container having a first compartment for containing foods and a second compartment isolated from the first compartment. The combination has a lid capable of sliding onto the container to cover both the first and second compartments. The second compartment has an aperture for receiving a security seal. The lid includes a third compartment adapted to mate with the second compartment.

Abstract: A security device for use in retail establishments to lock onto articles which are for sale and which optionally has enclosed an electronic article surveillance tag to prevent shoplifting. The security device has four hinged walls with flanges for wrapping around and securing an item therein. The front wall has a locking mechanism and a strap. A male member on the locking mechanism fits through apertures in the strap and into a female locking mechanism portion. The locking mechanism cannot be opened without a key. The locking mechanism comprises a pair of asymmetric tines which are on opposite sides of an asymmetric engagement member. To lock the security device the asymmetric engagement member spreads apart the asymmetric tines until the asymmetric engagement member gets passed the asymmetric tines. The asymmetric tines close behind the asymmetric engagement member and lock the asymmetric engagement member in place.

Abstract: A wet wipe container having improved opening and improved tear resistance between the lid and the base among other features. The container includes a container base and a container lid that is connected to the container base. In one embodiment, the container lid has a guide ridge that extends downward into the interior of the container. The guide ridge permits the container lid to be in a partially open position and provides better alignment between the container lid and the container base during closing of the container. In another embodiment, the container includes a closure that has an upwardly extending tongue projection, a flattened grip area and an assistive region to increase the ease with which the container can be opened. The invention also relates to a container having a more tear resistant container lid. The container lid has a hinge channel of a primary thickness. The hinge channel has two end regions that are of a secondary thickness that is greater than the primary thickness.

Abstract: In a cassette accommodate case having such a structure that a cassette is accommodated by being laterally inserted from an inserting mouth portion provided on one side surface thereof, the rotation stopping projecting tabs which engage with hubs in the cassette to prevent the rotation thereof are provided and are capable of rising and falling, in order to prevent the hubs from unnecessarily rotating rotation stopping projecting tabs. With the cassette accommodation case according to the present invention, the rotation stopping projecting tabs are each comprised by parallelly providing two tabs as a set in a cassette inserting direction. Due to the arrangement, in a case where one tab of the rotation stopping projecting tabs does not revert to an erect state and resultantly does not engage with the hubs, another tab engages with the hubs, thereby making it possible to surely prevent the hubs from unnecessarily rotating.

In the first locking plate position, the at least one pin extends through the aligned at least one opening in the case and the at least one opening in the lid to lock the lid in the second closed position.

Abstract: The invention is a memory card protective carrier for carrying memory cards and for protecting data transfer ports of the cards. The carrier includes a back frame secured adjacent a front frame having at least one memory card sleeve between the back and front frames. The card sleeve includes a top strut opposed to a bottom strut, an inside strut positioned between the top and bottom struts, wherein the top, bottom and inside struts cooperate to define a card slot dimensioned to house a memory card so that top and bottom edges of the card are adjacent the top and bottom struts. The front frame includes a window perimeter that defines a card window and includes a positioning guide adjacent the top strut in the shape of an asymmetrical corner dimensioned to correspond to an asymmetrical corner of the memory card. The back frame defines a compression tap aperture opposed to the card window, and includes at least one compression tab projecting into the card slot.

Abstract: A perfume bottle container includes a bottom base, a position base and a cap combined together. The position base is fitted on a chamber of the bottom base, having a spray hole and plural spring plates, closed on by the cap slidable up and down so as to let the spray hole expose when a perfume bottle placed in the chamber of the bottom base is to be used. The cap has two projecting strips to fit and slide up and down two slide grooves of the position base, and plural insert holes for projecting studs on plural spring plates of the position plates to engage, and the insert holes engage the studs when the cap is moved down to an open position wherein the spray hole is exposed for the perfume sprayed by a nozzle of a perfume bottle. When the cap is moved up to a closed position, the cap hides the spray hole.

Abstract: A two piece paperboard package that houses a unit dose product on an internal slide card within an outer paperboard shell. This package may have one or more internal or external lock(s) that prevent the slide card from being pulled out without triggering some type of lock release mechanism. This package is focused around providing a child resistant, senior-friendly unit dose package that can be opened and closed numerous times and then finally disposed of.

Abstract: A sterilization container for medical instruments includes a receptacle with a bottom wall and an open top, there being a multiplicity of vent openings in the bottom wall. The receptacle has a cover movable between a closed position wherein the cover closes the open top of the receptacle and an open position wherein the cover is positioned to allow access to the interior of the receptacle. A filter sheet is positioned in the receptacle so as to cover the bottom wall and the vent openings therein and the receptacle contains one or more trays for supporting medical instruments above the filter sheet. A perforated highly thermally conductive plate is positioned between the trays and the filter sheet so that when steam enters the container through the vent openings during steam sterilization, it heats the plate to a temperature sufficient to revaporize steam condensate collecting on the plate. The internal structure of the container is also disclosed.

Abstract: This invention is directed to providing detecting means on a thermoplastic mold part comprising a cover and a base panel or comprising a cap enclosure and a bottle. The detecting means comprises an interlocking break-away tab which upon initial opening of the container, the tab breaks away. This is particularly useful with compact disc or cassette containers. This invention is also directed to a thermoplastic container having a pivotal hinged cover and base wherein the hinge pin is of a particular design for securing the pivotal cover and base panels at the hinge end.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a security system for securing an object. The system includes a housing defining a region for storing the object. The housing includes a wall defining a plurality of through-holes. A locking member is mounted along the wall. The locking member is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. Retaining members are connected to the locking member for retaining the locking member in the locked position. The retaining members are arranged and configured to resiliently move into the through-holes when the locking member is moved to the locked position. The system also includes an unlocking tool having unlocking members arranged and configured to fit within the through-holes. The retaining members are displaced from the through-holes by pressing the unlocking members into the through-holes such that the retaining members are pressed out of the through-holes.

Abstract: Disclosed is a locking system for cassette tape cases to prevent tapes from being stolen and to discourage theft of cases as well. A cassette tape case has configurations to lock with a locking device. The locking device case has a plate and a plurality of protrusions configured to couple with the configurations of the cassette tape case. The locking device also has slits for use in unlocking the cassette tape case. Also disclosed is an apparatus to unlock the locked cassette tape case. The unlocking apparatus includes a plurality of keys configured to be inserted into the slits of the locking device.
