The anti-theft container includes a casing having an access opening; a locking member with a substantially L-shaped cross section with a blocking piece with a backwards pulling movement covering the access opening of the casing; and a slidable member mounted on the casing, capable of locking the locking member in position to the access opening when being installed in position, and allowing the locking member to be pulled backwards from the access opening when not installed in position. With this anti-theft container, the contained article can be taken our only by using a special unlocking piece held by the owner. This anti-theft container can therefore effectively protect a contained article against theft.

Each of the locking elements includes a cantilevered locking finger that is movable between locked and unlocked positions. The magnetically activated locking finger is movable to the unlocked position through use of a magnet while the mechanically activated locking element is moved to the unlocked position through use of a pin. Each locking finger engages a blocking plate that is disposed on the sliding member of the locked mechanism.

To lock the security device the asymmetric engagement member spreads apart the asymmetric tines until the asymmetric engagement member gets passed the asymmetric tines. The asymmetric tines close behind the asymmetric engagement member and lock the asymmetric engagement member in place.

A perforated highly thermally conductive plate is positioned between the trays and the filter sheet so that when steam enters the container through the vent openings during steam sterilization, it heats the plate to a temperature sufficient to revaporize steam condensate collecting on the plate.
