  • Patent number: 4442948
Abstract: A drinking vessel formed of a separable outer shell and inner shell which form a fluid flow path therebetween when the inner shell is received in the outer shell. Removal of the inner shell renders the flow path accessible for cleaning. The outer shell is transparent in the vicinity of the flow path to display fluid flow through the path. Embodiments having various configurations of flow paths are disclosed. An embodiment including a mechanism for puncturing a disposable inner shell to provide access between the flow path and interior of the inner shell is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4417504
Abstract: This invention relates to a regular coffee set which is simple to use and portable. It comprises a dripper body of approximately conical shape having an opening on its bottom, a cylindrical case having an opening corresponding to the above opening and a coffee cup to be fitted for a lowermost periphery of the cylindrical case. There is formed a heat insulating space between the dripper body and the cylindrical case. The dripper body is provided at its nearly whole side with a plurality of grooves and the lowermost periphery of the cylindrical case is provided with a corrugated portion so as to be well-fitted for an uppermost periphery of the coffee cup. By inserting the dripper body into the cylindrical case, a dripping container is formed and placed upon the coffee cup.

  • Patent number: 4387804
Abstract: A package for containing a preselected amount of a product in the form of a pill or the like is adapted to be converted for use as a cup for containing liquid and includes a pair of sidewalls made of paperboard which are joined together along three mutual edges thereof, the fourth mutual edges defining the top of the cup. A support flap is connected by a perforated score line along an edge of one of the sidewalls at the top of the cup and has a plastic blister bonded to one face thereof within which a pill or other product may be contained. The support flap is provided with an aperture therein registering with the interior of the blister and a frangible closure, preferably a metal foil, is secured in overlapping relationship to the aperture to prevent loss of the product prior to the time of use. Spaced fold lines in the sidewalls allow folding of the package to a compact condition for storage, and the support flap may be torn away from the top of the cup during use to allow ready access to the product.

  • Patent number: 4286634
Abstract: A plastic sample container with an attached collapsible funnel comprising several frusto-conical rings which interlock with one another in a raised position to form a funnel attached to an upright neck of the container. The funnel may be collapsed into the form of separate rings which rest upon radially extending upstanding support members attached to the top of the container. When the funnel is collapsed, the upper surfaces of the supporting members, the upper edges of the individual frusto-conical rings, and the top of a removable cap for the neck of the container all fall within a plane generally parallel with the bottom of the container, allowing several of the containers to be stacked one upon another. Graduations are provided on the side of the container, which is preferably constructed of tough translucent material, permitting visual ascertainment of the volume of a sample contained therein.

  • Patent number: 4201200
Abstract: A portable, or travel-type, oral hygiene appliance is provided with simplified and effective means for producing a pulsating, or intermittent, liquid jet; and optionally including a light stick for obtaining locally-concentrated illumination of areas within the mouth. The appliance is of lightweight and compact construction, in the form of an appliance casing having reduced vertical thickness and with a foldable water container carried on a portion of the upper surface of the casing. The pump for propelling a pulsating liquid jet uses a rotating member carrying spaced roller elements that move against a resilient, flexible, hose with a water column therein, to compress the hose between each roller and an abutment, thereby applying impeller force to spaced segments of the liquid column, so as to obtain an intermittent high pressure, liquid jet, discharge.
