The cigar holder has means for connection to the base along with a screen for receiving the lit end of the cigar so that the ashes will fall through the screen into the ash tray. The cigar holder also has slotted recesses designed so that a user can grasp the cigar in multiple places by placing the fingers of the user within the recesses and may have a circumferential collar on one end of the holder and a rotatable partial collar on the other end of the holder to secure a cigar in the cigar holder.

The resilient members (20) are opened to create an opening (26) leading into the container (28). A cigarette butt (30) may be dropped into the container (28) and the resilient members (20) are then closed.

Abstract: A cigar holder assembly is provided for golf carts utilizing biased clasps to hold one or more cigars in a vertical position over a removable ashtray. Temporary and permanent means for attaching the cigar holder to a golf cart are provided, and a swivel mount is provided between the attachment and the cigar holder to allow the cigar holder to maintain a substantially vertical orientation.

Abstract: A deodorizing apparatus for suppressing odor emanating from a cigarette butt containment vessel. The cigarette butt containment vessel includes a partially enclosed basin cavity into which cigarette butts are collected. In accordance with the present invention, the deodorizing apparatus includes an odor absorption device mounted within the basin cavity of the cigarette butt containment vessel. The odor absorption device includes an absorptive material housing constructed of an air-permeable fabric or mesh that retains the odor absorptive material while permitting airflow between the basin cavity and the interior of the absorptive material housing.

Abstract: A cigarette pack holder with an adjacent built-in ashtray section. The ashtray chamber is latterly adjacent the compartment for the cigarettes and extends downwardly and under the cigarette compartment. The ashtray section has a hinged cap that when in the closed position acts as a boss to engage a notch on the cover to secure the cover in place. The bottom of the device has a slider opening for removal of ashes. Spaced up from the bottom is a shelf to retain the cigarette or cigar pack. The ashtray is separated from the cigarette pack storage compartment by a heat resistant vertical wall. Other walls of the device should also be made of heat resistant material.

The at least one aperture has a diameter or width sufficiently small to hinder an adult or child intent on removing cigarette butts from the ashtray. In another embodiment the cover defining at least one aperture is attached to a cylinder shaped vessel having an inner lining defining an internal cavity at least partly filled with a bottom layer of immobile material and an upper layer of nonflammable material.

Abstract: A trash disposal device and method is provided that can be used to dispose litter and cigarette litter in particular. The device includes sheets of material forming a rectangular box casing that has a slot. Heat resistant material sheets are positioned within the casing such that the sheets may be pulled out of the casing through the slot. A sheet can be pulled out from the device and shaped into an ashtray-like shape that can be used to collect for instance cigarette litter. The ashtray-like shape with the litter can be folded up into a small package and then be placed in a storage area that could be part of the device. The trash disposal device could be assembled with foldable material to form the casing with a slot.

Abstract: A disposable, portable, pocketable, foldable and reusable cigarette ashtray which is formed from a single blank of fire retardant paper or other suitable material into a box shape that will fit into a vehicle cup holder. The ashtray consists of four sides, a bottom, three cavity leaf panels and a folding top lid. The cavity leaf panels slope into the container forming upper and lower cavities. When the ashtray is full of cigarette butts, a top lid panel is folded over the top cavity, locked in place and then safely disposed of. The back panel is supplied with an adhesive strip for attaching the ashtray to a surface. The ashtray is sized to act as a package for two packs of cigarettes. It is inexpensive to produce and can be folded for convenient packaging and portability.

Abstract: A molded plastic repository for spent smoking materials having separate base and column pieces with connecting portions which are connected for use by a connector which engages the connecting portions. The base and column are molded as a single piece then severed in a plane so as to provide similar connecting portions in relation to the severing plane. The method of fabricating and assembly provides a savings in storing and shipping the repository.

Abstract: A pouch for extinguishing, storing and disposing cigarette butts comprising a receptacle having a front panel, a back panel and opposing side panels forming one or more interior compartments. A two-ply material used for the pouch has a metallic or otherwise non-combustible side facing into the interior compartments and a paper outside. The top section of the receptacle has a mechanism for sealably closing the interior compartments comprising a pair of top flaps with adhesive bands thereon. The outside of the back panel has one or more pieces of sandpaper or like material thereon to allow the smoker to extinguish the cigarette butt and to provide some rigidity to the pouch. A non-combustible sheet can be disposed between the receptacle and sandpaper to protect the receptacle. A mechanism for opening the interior compartments, such as perforations, allows the contents therein to be disposed without having to be handled.

Abstract: An automobile cigarette case with electrical lighter for dispensing lit cigarettes to the driver of an automobile, having a substantially rectangular case housing which is selectively mountable on the dashboard of an automobile. The case housing contains an electric lighter having an electrical cord which terminates in a lighter adaptor which may be plugged into a standard cigarette lighter outlet for powering of the electric lighter. The case with electrical lighter has a cigarette passageway which holds a plurality of cigarettes and directs and biases the cigarettes toward the electric lighter whereupon they are ignited. After the cigarette has been ignited, a coiled lighter spring is allowed to expand, and thereby raises the unlit end of the cigarette so that it partially protrudes from an opening on top of the case housing, where it may be easily grasped by a user.

Abstract: A portable receptacle for extinguishing and storing cigarette ends is described, which comprises two distinct, functionally independent, unequally sized chambers, one smaller chamber being equipped with a fire extinguishing substance for extinguishing a cigarette after use and the other larger chamber providing the space of collection of ashes during smoking and of the cigarette ends which have been previously safely extinguished through their immersion into the chamber containing the fire extinguishing substance. Additionally, the fire extinguishing substance containing chamber may constitute a means for extinguishing cigarettes in table ashtrays of an otherwise conventional form.

The portable repository has a hollow rigid body with an open upper end and a closed lower end, and a cavity formed between the upper and lower ends. The portable repository includes a cover which has a selectively moveable closure and which is selectively detachable from the upper end of the body, and a baffle which has a narrow aperture therethrough and which is positioned between the cover and the upper end of the body. Spent smoking materials are inserted through the selectively moveable closure of the cover and the aperture of the baffle to be retained within the cavity of the body. The cover, baffle, and upper end of the body are fitted together to form a sandwiched joint and seal to prevent smoke from the spent smoking materials retained within the cavity from escaping into the environment or air entering the cavity and fostering combustion.

Abstract: A cigarette packet includes a closable compartment for housing fresh cigarettes and a closable housing within the package containing a plurality of fire-extinguishing members. These members are positioned within the housing and are attached to the package. A lid of the ash compartment is hingedly connected to a rear wall. The package includes means for securely fastening the lid to the compartment when the lid is rotated upon the lid hinge to a closed position so that the lid remains closed when the package is inverted.

The inner section can be a cigarette holding portion which allows the cigarettes to be accessed in this extended position. In a closed position, the lid for the cigarette package can be prevented from opening by the outer section. Additionally, the use of a hole in the package about the same diameter as a cigarette can be used to extinguish butts placed into the ashtray portion. Furthermore, a vacuum device can be used to turn the ashtray portion into a smokeless ashtray.
