In accordance with aspects and embodiments, a child-safe packaging system is provided comprising a cardstock inner package having an internal cavity dimensioned to hold a product and a cardstock outer sleeve having an open end a closed end, wherein the inner package is sized to frictionally fit within the outer sleeve.

Abstract: Packaging for tobacco industry products is disclosed. The packaging comprises a pack for holding tobacco industry products, and an outer wrapper enveloping the pack. The outer wrapper comprises a removable portion arranged to prevent opening of the pack until the removable portion has been removed. One of the pack and the removable portion comprises a tamper evident feature that remains attached to the other of the pack or the removable portion after the removable portion is removed from the pack. A method of packaging tobacco industry products is also disclosed.

Abstract: A slide-action hinged-lid pack includes a hinged-lid inner pack configured to hold consumer items. The hinged-lid inner pack includes a front wall, a back wall, a left side wall, a right side wall, a bottom wall and a hinged-lid pivotally connected to an upper end of the back wall for movement between an open position and a closed position, and an outer shell. The hinged-lid inner pack can slide from a first position at which the hinged-lid is in the closed position to a second position at which the hinged-lid is in the open position. The outer shell includes a first stop tab on an inner side of the back wall. The hinged-lid inner pack includes a second stop tab on a tongue extending from the hinged-lid, and a third stop tab on the back wall of the hinged-lid inner pack.

Thus, information on a preferred consumption condition of the tobacco related product can be provided to a user. Abstract: A pack having a group of tobacco industry products wrapped in a laminate to form a bundle is disclosed. The pack has a base containing the bundle, and a lid mounted to the base for rotation between open and closed positions. The laminate has an outer layer having a first cut that defines an outer layer region bounded by said first cut and, an inner layer having a second cut that defines an inner layer region bounded by said second cut. The inner layer region lies within the outer layer region. A part of the outer layer region is attached to an inside surface of the lid such that, as the lid is rotated into its open position, the inner and outer layer regions are lifted causing the inner and outer layers to delaminate in a peripheral region between the first and second cuts and an opening to be created in the laminate.

The lid is adapted to fit over the base such that the rolled edge abuts underneath the retention bumps and pivot bumps securing the lid in place when the container is closed.
