Publication number: 20140251842Abstract: A packaged product assembly is provided. The packaged product assembly may include a tray slidably received in a dispensing container. The tray may be a blister pack including units of a product received in sealed cavities. A locking apparatus may be configured to releasably retain the tray in a locked configuration. The locking apparatus may include one or more locking protrusions that engage corresponding locking apertures in the tray. The locking apparatus may also include buttons positioned on opposing sides of the tray. When the buttons are depressed toward one another, the locking protrusions may move relative to the locking apertures such that the tray is unlocked and may be withdrawn from the dispensing container.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 7, 2013Publication date: September 11, 2014Applicant: R.J. Patent number: 8079372Abstract: A discreet packing system for containing and compacting finely chopped tobacco product having a shallow cylindrical body and a lid detachably secured thereto. A flexible wall is secured at a fixed end to the interior surface of the body. The flexible inner wall generally coextends the interior surface of the body and thereby defines a cylindrical volume in which the tobacco is contained. The flexible wall may be selectively locked in place relative to the outer wall of the body. In one embodiment of the present invention, a bottom is slidably connected to a cylindrical outer wall of the body. A distal end of the flexible wall is attached to the bottom and is urged via rotation of the bottom relative to the outer wall. Other embodiments are provided wherein the flexible wall extends through the body and is urged via a grip or slider.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2009Date of Patent: December 20, 2011Inventors: Bartlett Wade Smith, IV, James Albert Norris, III

Publication number: 20020144915Abstract: A compact package for a garment made from a delicate material includes a container body having a volume of less than 10 in3 (164 cm3), a delicate material garment, a cover member and a cap. The cover member is inserted into the container body atop the garment, followed by the cap. Preferably, a buffer material is arranged between the garment and the cover member within the container body to protect the garment from damage during the packing process. The package is preferably produced by directing the garment and buffer material into a pre-loading tube, followed by shifting of a plunger member to load the container body with the garment, buffer material and the cover member. Subsequently, the cap is snap-fit upon the container body.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 6, 2001Publication date: October 10, 2002Applicant: LeDagio, LTDInventors: Leon Atkinson, Robert Jansen, R. Patent number: 4961496Abstract: Known conventional cigarette packs, especially those with a hinge-lid box (10), an inner blank (29) made of tin-foil and possibly an outer wrapping made of plastics foil, are not suitable for disposing of smoked cigarettes (waste-cigarettes 48). It is felt to be undesirable that smoked cigarettes be thrown away individually. This is especially true for "artificial cigarettes" which have recently appeared on the market. In order to achieve an improved waste-disposal, the present cigarette pack, especially as regards its embodiment with a hinge-lid box (10), is provided with a waste compartment (47) for holding waste-cigarettes (48). Park of the inner blank (28), namely its rear-wall (30), forms a partition between the waste compartment (47) and a cigarette compartment (46). Smoked cigarettes are reinserted into the pack through an insert-opening (54).Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 1989Date of Patent: October 9, 1990Assignee: Focke & Co.
