Abstract: The container (10) has a plurality of slots (14) for the insertion of check or credit cards to be held by it. So that each card can be removed individually, rockers (22) are pivotably mounted at a rear end face (20) of the container (10), are joined to one another integrally by way of resilient connectors (36) so as to be movable relative to one another and are joined integrally with push rods (38) extending to a front face (16) of the container by way of a strip hinge (40). By pressing on push buttons formed on the push rods (38) at the front face, the rockers (22) pivot and push the card in question out of the container (10). The invention has the advantage that the rockers (22) can be produced integrally with one another and with their push rods (38) in the form of an injection-molded component.

Abstract: A filament tube shipping apparatus is provided for the facilitated packaging and transportation of large filament tube structures which have been wound with extended lengths of flexible materials like yarn. The filament tube shipping structure includes a pallet portion for facilitating handling of the filament tube structure by forklifts and the like. A plurality of spacer pad apparatus are provided for enabling the assembly and stacking of a plurality of layers of loaded filament tubes. The filament tube shipping apparatus facilitates the loading and wrapping of same by automated robotic equipment.

Abstract: A business card dispenser comprising a main casing and a sliding tray installed in the main casing in a slidable fashion with a business card(s) placed thereon. The sliding tray is pushed by hand in one direction, thus bending the business card(s) to form an arc so that one business card can be removed, and then the sliding tray is moved back in another (opposite) direction to its original position by an elastic force which is produced by the straightening business card, thus dispensing one card at a time quickly.

Abstract: An improved rigid winding core for flexible tapes achieving improved interlocking between adjacently stacked cores by a first interlocking mechanism located on the inner rim and a second, additional, mechanism located on the planar surfaces. The first mechanism comprises a number of clamping teeth each of which comprises a first radial extending portion and a second axial extending portion. The clamping teeth is trapped in position by a retention gap formed on the inner rim. The second mechanism comprises a number of complementary lug and recess pairs which are distributed on the core planes. This improved core discloses a winding core with improved interlocking while at the same time provides considerable material saving comparing to conventional designs.

Abstract: A pallet for supporting a plurality of packages, the pallet including a base member having a plurality of feet defining a plurality of gaps between adjacent feet and a subframe including a plurality of cross bars, each of the cross bars overlying and supported by the feet and spanning the gaps defined between the feet. A package position is provided for each of the packages. Each package position is located along a respective one of the cross bars and directly overlies a respective one of the gaps such that each of the packages when mounted on the pallet at a respective one of the package positions is suspended above the respective gap by the respective cross bar.

Abstract: A card holder has a frame which is rectangular in configuration with one open end through which a card can be inserted into and removed from the holder. A slide plate is slidably mounted in the frame. When the card is inserted into the frame, it slides along the slide plate and comes to a position where it abuts against a stop ridge formed along the inner edge of the slide plate. With insertion of the card into the holder, the slide plate is driven by the card further into the holder. With such motion of the slide plate, a spring connected thereto at one end and to the holder at the other end is brought to a retracted or loaded position. The spring and card are retained in the retracted position by a retainer detent formed in the holder which latches onto the slide plate and retains the slide plate in position.

Abstract: A shrink wrap or stretch wrap pallet system including a pair of end panels arranged and configured so as to mount on opposite sides of a package, effectively connecting a base pallet and a top panel. The end panels themselves are spaced from the perimeter of the package. The end panels have vertical edges which extend beyond the perimeter of the package, thereby defining a plane between respective end panels, the plane serving to space the wrap, which lies substantially therein, from the package. The end panels are conveniently sized and shaped to fit within the area of the base pallet, intermediate panels and top panel thereby providing a relatively compact return package. Side panels may be provided to supplement the end panels.

Abstract: A centering bush for connecting and centering winder cores which stand on one another. The centering bush, in one embodiment, has first and second cylindrical parts on both sides of a median plane, of which the first part lies above the plane, and the second part lies below the median plane. The first and second cylindrical parts are adjoined on both sides by parts that are conically shaped towards a median axis of the centering bush. Projections in the form of sharp-edged spikes with rounded ends are arranged on the outer circumference of the centering bush in the region of the median plane.

Abstract: A receiving and transporting device for articles with a through-opening comprises a basic frame and two interconnectable container bodies, one of the end-face openings fitting over one of the body rear parts, for volume reduction and storage purposes. A special transport pallet is designed for receiving four devices with or without content.

Abstract: A system for securing a plurality of tape pancakes includes a compressible core support on which the pancakes can be mounted. An interior rod having a head fits and is received within the core support. A nub on the inside surface of the core support engages a groove on the outside surface of the interior rod to provide a threaded engagement between the interior rod and the core support. Rotation of the interior rod within the core support after the head contacts the end of the core support provides an axial compression load onto the core support to hold together the pancakes. This axial compression also expands the baffles which contact and tighten against the inside of the tape pancake cores and provide a radial force to secure the pancakes in place.

Abstract: Packaging containers, comprising an at least two-part cardboard blank, for pancakes are described, bottom part and top part containing a central circular clearance, through which a hub sleeve consisting of plastic is inserted. The pancakes are stackably arranged one after the other on said hub sleeve, after which the top part is placed on and then the side parts are folded up. A shrink film is drawn over the entire pack. In this way, the contents of the pack are protected against damage during transit both by the cardboard and by the shrink film. The pack is recyclable or reusable.

Abstract: A storage box (10, 12) for a dye ribbon cassette (33) which is provided with a laterally outwardly extending handle (28, 29) at each lateral side allowing easy gripping of the cassette, said storage box being a generally rectangular enclosure having a top, bottom, two side walls and a rear wall, a front opening (18) giving access to the box and a door (19) for closing such opening, and a slot (22) in each side wall extending up from the front end of the box in the direction of the rear wall, the height and the configuration of said slots being such as to allow insertion of a cassette in the storage box through its front opening while the handles fit in said slots, the outside portion of the handles remaining outside of the box thereby allowing gripping of the cassette.

The adjacent base and side walls can be oriented at right angles to each other. The sections are secured together using a tongue and groove connection to mate the sections along respective edges. Three and four section containers can be formed.

Each side wall extends upwardly from an edge and each corner extends upwardly from an intersection of two edges. Generally cylindrical objects are arranged in an assembly on the support base in at least one vertical column or horizontal row. Each object has a top end, bottom end and side extending therebetween, a portion of which can contact the support base. The assembly is free of walls between the objects of the assembly. A generally rigid lid has a top wall, edges and corners. Each edge of the lid has a side wall extending downwardly therefrom and each corner extends downwardly from an intersection of two edges. Each corner of the support base is adjacent to or connected to a corresponding corner of the lid or by corner protectors extending between the corresponding corners of the support 14 base and lid.

The adjacent base and side walls can be oriented at right angles to each other. The storage container is formed by mating the sections so that the side edges of the side walls on one section are disposed adjacent the side edges of the side walls of the other section to form edges of the storage container. The sections are secured together using a tongue and groove connection to mate the sections along respective edges. Three and four section containers can be formed.

The collecting tank, which has closed walls and can be closed on the front side by a removeable plate, is attached on a rear side so as to hang freely on the support frame, which is designed as a framwork construction with stiles and rungs. The collecting tank has several receiving mechanisms for the magnetic tape reels that are to be packaged and that enable the packaging device to be automatically loaded and unloaded.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a display apparatus and method for displaying and dispensing elongated product such as chain. The present invention includes identical side plates interconnected by two V-shaped members which are in turn telescopically interconnected to each other so as to provide for variable adjustment of the length of the display apparatus.

Abstract: An interconnecting structure for connectable tape stands formed with a plurality of resilient fingers extending axially from the free end of a hollow cylinder which extends from the inner face of a side wall, and the free ends of the resilient fingers being formed with radially outwardly facing flanges. Through holes penetrating onto the wall of the supporting cylinder are formed in alignment with the resilient fingers on the outer face of the side wall. As a result, when the resilient fingers of one tape stand are inserted into the corresponding through holes on another tape stand, the flanges on the respective resilient fingers will enter the through holes and rest on the inner face of the side wall, thus to complete the interconnection of the tape stands. In addition, grooves are formed axially inwardly in the hollow cylinder on both sides of the resilient fingers for increasing the flexibility of the resilient fingers such that a tape roll is easy to replace.

Abstract: A dual modular device for the display and dispensing of tickets is provided that includes a box type unit with two storage sections and a rear door that is pivotally mounted by a mounting assembly formed of cylindrical posts attached to each lower corner of the door and receivably journaled in cavities located in the lower rear portion of each sidewall of the unit. The door further includes side and top flanges that overlie the sidewalls and roof of the unit when the door is in a closed position to secure the sidewalls of the unit from being forced apart to gain access to the interior of the unit. The lower portion of the door also includes offset side edges to provide a door with approximately the same dimension as the inside measurement between the two sidewalls of the unit so that the lower portion of the door acts as a positioning guide when closing the door.

A base plate may also be provided with the cover to form a kit which prevents drainage of a wet plunger onto a floor.

Abstract: A description is given of a cuboidal multipack for vertically stacked magnetic recording media, comprising a rectangular pallet, a baseplate and top plate and wound roll sets stacked between two intermediate plates in each case, the tape rolls being wound up on flangeless winding hubs provided with internal bores, through which a hub sleeve is inserted, the pack being protected by edges and side parts and a stretch film being drawn around the entire unit. To be able to stack a large number of wound rolls one on top of the other without the risk of damaging the edges of the tape rolls, each intermediate plate, which is provided on its upper side and under side with a ring groove, is supported by means of the end face of the hollow-cylindrical hub sleeve by the next-lower intermediate plate, so that merely the wound pack accommodated in one set is placed with its weight able to bear on an intermediate plate.

Abstract: A carrying package of pancake reels which are made by winding magnetic tapes on hubs and a method of recovering the carrying package after use are provided. The carrying package comprises a pallet, a body, a lower cap, an upper cap and bonding bands. The body has four walls which are interconnected and in which packing units, two lattices and an intermediate plate are disposed. The body has a height in which the packing units are laid on the other packing units via the intermediate plate forming two layers of the packing units. The lattices function as a partition wall for defining multiple compartments corresponding to the numbers of the packing units. The packing unit comprises two plastic discs, a plastic core, pancake reels, an intermediate film and sponge pads.

Abstract: A packaging container is provided for flat flexible electrical circuits that are wound about individual cores, with opposite ends of the cores projecting axially beyond the wound circuits. Top and bottom pallets each are provided with shock-absorbing interior walls for engaging the opposite ends of the cores to mount the wound circuits between the pallets without engaging the circuits. A peripheral side wall structure is latched between the pallets spaced from and substantially enclosing the mounted circuits therewithin.

Abstract: A package is provided for retaining a plurality of surgical sutures which includes a housing and a plurality of superimposed suture retainer reels disposed within the housing. Each of the suture retainer reels has a peripheral channel defined therein for maintaining a wound suture in such a manner so that the wound suture in one of said peripheral channels is disposed in an annular vertical plane which is substantially distinct from the annular vertical plane in which an adjacent wound suture is disposed. Structure is associated with the housing for maintaining the suture retainer reels in superimposed relationship. The package may also be provided with a needle park for releasably maintaining surgical needles in a position for ready removal.

Abstract: Core or tube plugs protect ends of hollow cores (around which material is wrapped) during transport when a plurality of such wrapped cores is assembled for shipment. Assemblies of a plurality of rolls of such wrapped cores are prepared by inserting a hollow tube through the plurality of wrapped cores and sealing the ends of such cores and tubes with plugs specially designed for that purpose. Each plug has a substantially rotation-symmetrical body with a plurality of axially-sequential segments, one of which at least substantially fills and protects an end of the hollow core and another of which at least substantially fills an end of the hollow tube (which passes through a plurality of hollow cores). One plug at each end of a assembly of wrapped cores secures the assembly together over the tube passing through the wrapped cores.

For assembly of the package from the folded-up state, the hub support has a locking snap-in device on at least one end face.

The plug is adapted for coupling with the core to assist in fixing the position of the roll goods. The plug comprises a cylindrical portion designed to fit within the core with a small clearance so that the axes of the core and the plug are substantially coincident with each other. A flange extends from the cylindrical portion and is engageable with an axial end of the roll goods to limit relative axial movement of the plug and the roll goods with respect to each other. A nose extends axially from the substantially cylindrical portion in spaced-apart relation to the flange. The nose is substantially conical, has a base diameter substantially equal to the diameter of the cylindrical portion, and tapers to a vertex spaced apart from the cylindrical portion.

Abstract: The multipack for pancakes of relatively large diameter comprises two end plates (1, 2) and an intermediate plate (4), anchored on which is a tube (3) on which the pancakes are arranged in series with cushioning disks placed in between. The end plates include fixing means on their narrow sides for stacking a plurality of the multipacks described on top of and next to one another on one and the same pallet. A film of plastic is drawn over each multipack and each multipack is held together by securely lashed straps, which are drawn over the end plates.

A catch (17) protruding inwardly is provided on an interior rear end (13) of the slider member (3). The catch (17) engages a rear edge of a card inserted in the holder. By sliding the slider member (3) toward the compartment mouth (16) using an operating element (4) extending from the slider member through the opening (2) a card held in the compartment is ejected from the compartment (8). The slider member (3) includes a slidable resilient strip (7) dimensioned so that it covers and can close the opening in the side panel in all positions.

Abstract: A slat box for holding two or more slat stock rolls during the fabrication of metal window blinds. The slat box comprises a housing defining a plurality of equally sized adjacent compartments therein. Each of the stock rolls is interfaced to a respective compartment via the receipt of axle members inserted through the stock rolls into corresponding pairs of inserts attached to the side walls and partition members defining the compartments within the housing. The slat box further includes a rod member insertable through the inserts and axle members for preventing the stock rolls from being lifted out their respective compartments. Additionally, brake members are provided which are disposed between the stock rolls and inserts for preventing "free-wheeling" of the stock rolls from occurring.

The compression ring includes an inner ring and an outer ring which engage each other. The outer ring is rotated relative the inner ring to apply the pressure on the pancake cores. Alternatively, the compression load is applied by a callapsible, one-piece unit. Two retractable wings are mounted on the free end of the mandrel and extend to engage the pancake cores. Rotation of a shaft forces the wings toward the pancakes to apply the compression load.

Similarly, the bottom wall is provided with a plurality of parallel grooves.
