Abstract: In order to be able to remove a wafer 4 conveniently from a wafer pocket 1, it is proposed that the wafer pocket 1 be formed by a first enveloping film 9 and a second enveloping film 11, which are connected to one another via at least one connecting region 2, such that a wafer accommodating compartment 3 which is suitable for accommodating the wafer 4 and which is sealed off toward the outside is formed between the first enveloping film 9 and the second enveloping film 11, at least one of the enveloping films 9, 11 being weakened within a weakening region 5 located in the region of the wafer accommodating compartment 3, such that the wafer accommodating compartment 3 can be opened by tearing open the wafer pocket 1 along a tearing line that passes the weakening region 5.

Abstract: A system for providing a shipping label and a packing list on a container is provided which enables rapid and automated sequential application of a packing list and a shipping label to the container. The shipping label is configured complemental to the packing list whereby the packing list may first be adhered directly to the container and then the shipping label may be placed thereover. The shipping label may be applied over the packing list while the container moves continuously down a conveyor. The invention further includes an apparatus for sequentially applying the packing list and then the shipping label, and a method for applying the packing list and shipping label in registry.

The package includes first and second sheets disposed in opposing relation that are sealed together around a perimeter. The package has a compartment that defines a space for holding the viscous substance. The package further includes an integral tube having a first end in fluid communication with the compartment, and a second end that is closed in the transport configuration. The second end can be opened such that the viscous substance contained in the package can flow from the container, through the integral tube, and exit the package via the opening. The second end of the integral tube is positionable independent of the compartment for depositing the substance at multiple, spaced apart target locations without moving the compartment.

The packaging material comprises a base layer of paper or board and polymeric heat-sealable layers on one side of the base layer or, preferably, on both sides thereof. According to the invention, at least two layers of ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) with different fractions of ethylene monomer are arranged on the packaging material to provide an oxygen barrier. The layers can locate against each other without a tie layer between them. The heat-sealable polymer can be a polyolefin, and, in addition, other polymeric barrier layers can be incorporated into the material to improve its oxygen, fat and aroma tightness.
