  • Patent number: 8459480
Abstract: A case structure and a method for pre-forming the same are described. The pre-forming method includes the following steps. A first case body and a second case body are supplied. Two side plates of the second case body are bent, such that the two side plates respectively form an initial angle with the bottom plate. The second case body is disposed in the first case body. The two side plates are pulled to respectively come close to two side walls of the first case body, such that the bottom plate forms a curved surface in the first case body. When having an object disposed therein, the case structure overcomes a downward pressure generated by the object through the curved surface, thereby preventing the first case body and the second case body from sagging out of the case structure.

Abstract: When stackable boxes (1) are coupled together, which are optionally provided with a cover (1a), all the boxes and covers have locking means, which are formed by at least one gripper part (2, 2a) at their underside, which is preferably biased (2, 3), and which is capable of gripping an edge (4,4a) provided at the upper side of the boxes or the covers. Hereby, boxes and covers may always be coupled together in an arbitrary order. In a first embodiment, the boxes and the covers have snap locks (2, 2a) and edges (4, 4a) in their gables, while, in a second embodiment, they are constructed with a gripper part and an edge in their one gable, while, in the other gable, they are provided with hooks or flanges which are capable of engaging fixing holes. The stackable boxes may generally be used as a storage device.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a container assembly (1) that includes a support structure (11) and a container (14) that resides reversibly within the support structure interior (62). The support structure (11) includes a pair of opposed first and second support sidewalls (26, 29) each having an elongated tube (32, 44) having a first open end (38, 50) and an elongated hollow interior (35, 47). The container (14) has opposing sidewalls (77, 80) that each have an elongated channel (104, 110). The first and second elongated tubes (32, 44) of the support structure (11) are each reversibly received within the first and second elongated sidewall channels (104, 110) of the container (14), as the container is reversibly introduced (e.g., slid) into the support structure interior (62) through the open forward portion (65) of the support structure (11). The container assembly (1) may be reversibly lifted by lift members (e.g.

Abstract: A handbasket includes a container and a handle. The container includes an upper rim, a pair of opposed side panels, and a pair of opposed end panels, with each side panel including a generally concave exterior surface. The handle extends between, and is pivotally mounted relative to, the respective opposed end panels of the container. The handle is movable between a first generally vertically upright position relative to the container and a second position. In the second position, a first portion of the handle rests against the upper rim of the container and a second portion of the handle is spaced from the upper rim adjacent the generally concave exterior surface of one of the respective side panels to define a grasping zone for grasping the handle for movement between the first position and the second position of the handle relative to the container.
