The cover (4) comprises a standardized footprint and is realized as an adapter element for the receiving cradle (3). A positioning device (25) with multiple positioning elements (26) is provided on the cover (4). The receiving cradle (3) is supported on the cover (4) by way of its base (7), wherein the receiving cradle (3) is aligned relatively with reference to the footprint defined by the cover (4), positioned in a positioning position for automated sample processing by means of the positioning elements (26). Furthermore, the invention also relates to a method for providing such a pipette-tip-accommodating container (1).

Abstract: A lid for a container or tote has a main body with pylons. The pylons are arranged on the lid to provide a first pylon adjacent to a second pylon. The first and second pylons may each have a plurality of platforms that can support and stabilize a cross beam such as a board placed in between them. The platforms may include a first platform, a second platform, and a third platform. The first platform is horizontally spaced apart from the second platform, and the second platform is horizontally spaced apart from the third platform. The first platform is vertically spaced apart from the second platform, and the second platform is vertically spaced apart from the third platform. Corresponding ones of the platforms on the adjacent pylons may be disposed on a same plane so as to provide a planar or flat surface for receiving the cross beam.

Abstract: A system and method for transporting and storing post-harvest fruits, vegetables and other perishable commodities under controlled atmospheric conditions is provided. One or more transportable vacuum containers are packed with the perishable commodity. Thereafter, the controlled atmospheric condition is created within the container. The atmospheric condition is maintained while the container is transported from one location to another. Part of the controlled atmospheric condition includes the formation of a vacuum within the container. Internal structure is provided within the container to resist collapse of the container when the vacuum is formed therein. A plurality of containers can be provided. A central control, coupled to each of the containers can be provided to maintain the desired atmospheric condition within each of the containers.

Abstract: A lid for a beverage cup includes a mouth opening, an aroma opening, and a concentrator member. The mouth opening is positioned closer to a rim of the lid than the aroma opening. An area of the aroma opening is greater than an area of the mouth opening. The concentrator member surrounds the aroma opening and extends from a plane formed by the aroma opening to a height above the aroma opening. A cross sectional area of the concentrator decreases in a direction from a base to an upper end of the concentrator, creating a concentration of beverage aromas in the space surrounding a user's nose. The concentrator channels a concentrated amount of aroma to the nose, providing an enhanced drinking and tasting experience.

The lower margin includes a set of seats for anchor fittings in the form of re-bar prongs that, when installed, extend radially outwardly from the liner. The smaller containers and smaller container lids are configured to allow any of the smaller container lids to be used on any of the smaller containers. The bottom of the beverage container and the bottom of each smaller container is also configured to allow the beverage container or smaller container to be interlocked with the top of any of the smaller container lids. In addition to storing beverage ingredients, the stackable container system can also be used to store other edible and inedible ingredients.

Abstract: A stackable and nestable food containment system provides temporary storage of edible substances. The system comprises tray members and lids that have an interengageable relationship. The tray member has a bottom surface with at least one first groove. The lid has at least one second groove that substantially matches the first groove. The grooves are aligned to enable arrangement of the tray members in a stacked configuration, while also restricting lateral slippage between tray members. When the tray members are covered with their correlating lids and in arranged in a stacked arrangement, spillage is also inhibited. Each tray has at least one barrier that forms three separate compartments. The compartments serve to segregate different edible substances, and also create an interlocking arrangement between tray members in a nested configuration. The tray members and the lids are fabricated from a material that is microwavable and dishwasher safe.

Abstract: An exemplary container for storing and transporting materials is disclosed. In various embodiments, the exemplary container includes one or more handles for assisting a user with lifting the exemplary container and/or controlling the exemplary container when pouring the exemplary container's contents. The one or more handles, in particular embodiments, are designed for minimum interference with other similar containers during transport. In some embodiments, certain handles are recessed within a cavity of a sidewall of the exemplary container.

Abstract: In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, there is provided an improved disposable aluminum lids configured for use with a pan. The lid has a continuously rolled lip around a skirt that when placed on the pan is bent to secure the two together. The rolled lip around the entire periphery of the skirt includes both the sides and the corners of the improved disposable aluminum lid. This significantly reduces the possibility of cuts and injuries to the user with securing the lid to the pan or removing it therefrom.

The containers are configured to include a plurality of interlocking or mating portions such as one or more side flanges, teeth or projections, a handle engaging portion or channel, one or more wheel assembly receiving portions, or one or more foot receiving portions. The Interlocking or mating portions are configured to matingly engage or abut corresponding portions of an adjacent container and at least partially restrict movement there between.

Abstract: An inventive lid with a collar that adjusts to variations in bucket diameters and lip thicknesses is provided. The inventive lid collar has a series of detents for engaging the bucket lip when the lip is within design limits, however when the lip's thickness is greater than designed tolerance, or the buckets diameter is larger than specified, the lid collar has an expandable under hang the grabs the bucket lip. The under hang provides an inward spring force that grabs the bucket lip regardless of whether the lip's thickness is over or under specified tolerances. The inventive lid have an upper recess indent for holding printed material, such as a coupon or illustration, or a smaller container for holding a premium or for holding spices in a single or multi chamber dispenser within the recess or secured inside the dome.

Abstract: A system for enabling the efficient evacuation of air within a food container. A bellows-enabled lid fits into a respective container in an air-tight relationship. A bellows mechanism having plural resilient members and dual one-way valves provides efficient manual operation and resulting air evacuation from the container interior. A lid-mounted release valve with associated resilient member enables efficient release of vacuum conditions within the container. Plural ornamental configurations of the container with associated bellows-enabled lid are illustrated.
