Abstract: The present invention is directed to packaging for fresh cut and dipped or enrobed fruit. The package comprises an outer sleeve and an encapsulating set-up carton board box; the inner compartment comprises internal inserts that secure a molded top and bottom piece that are specifically designed to hold cut pieces of fruit in a ball or “apple” formation (or that hold other fruit parts in different formations). The package was designed to protect, present, and display the fresh cut fruit product “plate-like,” “bowl-like,” or easily sharable form to allow it to be eaten direct from the package while maintaining a premium look and feel.

Abstract: A monolithic display device for the point-of-sale display of produce manufactured out of a closed cell foam material and of solid construction, with a plurality of pockets formed into the top surface of the device and arranged in horizontal rows separated by upwardly extending horizontal dividing members, with upwardly extending intermediate dividing members separating adjacent pockets within each row. The display device is used in a retail setting by first being placed onto a table or other means of support, and then having produce placed onto the top surface within the pockets. The horizontal dividing members and the intermediate dividing members hold the produce in place on the device, while the foam construction of the device protects the produce from damage. In some embodiments different sized pockets are formed into the lower surface of the device so that the device can be used with different sized produce.

Abstract: An egg decorating kit formable into an egg decorating assembly includes a plurality of decorating accessories for decorating eggs, a box made of foldable sheet material and an attachment made of sheet material. The box includes a top having a plurality of demarcated sections peripherally arranged about a center point of the top of the box. The top has at least one slit that extends from an outer surface of the top to an inner surface of the top and is surrounded by the demarcated sections. The attachment includes a main body portion and a tab portion coupled to the main body portion. The main body portion has printed indicia located on a front side of the sheet material and printed indicia located on a back side of the sheet material.

Abstract: Packing tray for protecting fragile and perishable food items, such as pears, which allows fruit items of varying dimensions and weights to be held securely in each pocket, and which allows a plurality of stacked trays and fruit to be packaged in boxes (e.g., standard carton sizes). The tray is a plastic foam sheet having a top wall and a plurality of recessed cell pockets, each cell pocket having a relatively thinner cell sidewall with expandable (accordion-like) flutes, and a relatively thicker bottom wall also with expandable flutes. This construction allows the cell bottoms in adjacent pockets and in adjacent trays of the stack to move relative to one another to accommodate various sizes and weights of fruit while still protecting the fruit from damage.

Abstract: A container for receiving frangible items comprises a sheet of polymer formed into a base portion having a plurality of item-receiving cavities for supporting frangible items. The item-receiving cavities have a frustoconical portion having a generally frustoconical geometry. A cover portion has an item-covering concavity for covering the frangible items. A first hinge is between a first longitudinal edge of the base portion and the cover portion for rotating the cover portion onto the base portion to hold the frangible items captive in the item receiving cavities. A hollow bridge spans between at least two adjacent item-receiving cavities of the container, a bottom edge of the hollow bridge being lower than a midheight of the frustoconical portion of the item-receiving cavities.

Abstract: A device for protecting eggs in an egg carton from breaking has an element surrounding an egg carton with eggs and having an inner chamber for receiving the egg carton with eggs in it, with a size corresponding to an outer size of the egg carton with eggs, and the element has an impact-absorbing property such that when the egg carton with eggs is located in the inner chamber of the element and is subjected to an outside impact, the element absorbs the impact and the eggs in the egg carton do not break.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for protecting the surfaces and labels of beverage containers are disclosed. The invention includes a beverage tray having a floor and walls extending from the floor. The beverage tray includes a plurality of dividing sections that divide the beverage tray into beverage sections. Each beverage section may hold a single beverage container. The beverage tray may include a plurality of contact strips positioned within the beverage tray and configured to contact the surface of the beverage container. The contact strips may be placed on the walls of the beverage tray or on the dividing sections of the beverage tray. The contact strips may be applied to existing beverage trays to protect the surfaces and labels of beverage bottles from being damaged by the surface of the beverage trays.

Abstract: A package box including an outer box and at least two cushions disposed symmetrically in the outer box is provided. The cushion includes a rectangular bottom plate, two short side plates, a partition plate, a concave structure and a box structure. The short side plates are connected perpendicularly with the short sides of the bottom plate respectively. The partition plate divides the cushion into a first rectangular sub-body and a second rectangular sub-body. The concave structure forms a container space caved in the first rectangular sub-body to contain a first article therein. The box structure on the second rectangular sub-body can be opened or closed to contain a second article in the second rectangular sub-body.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an eggs packing container, and more particularly, to an eggs packing container using paperboard to produce box structures and packed-material supporters provided therein, thereby preventing the environments from pollution and effectively preventing received eggs from the damages due to any external impact. The eggs packing container according to the present invention has a receiving portion 100 and a lid portion 200 like the shape of the conventional synthetic resin packing container, thereby making use of the existing egg packing production automation facilities.
