Abstract: The present invention relates to articles of manufacture for the packaging of brittle, elongated, and/or asymmetrically-shaped retail items for retail display to consumers. In some embodiments, the article of manufacture serves to protect the retail items from breakage during display or transit while allowing ready visual inspection by the consumer. In a preferred embodiment, the retail items are candy canes.

The case, the system and/or the method operate to store and/or to transport articles, such as, for example, office-related articles and personal articles. A first compartment forms a first volume that may be protected by walls of the case. Further, a second compartment forms a second volume. The second compartment extends into the first volume of the first compartment. The second compartment receives and/or stores the articles towards the interior of the first compartment. The second compartment has a divider for maintaining a position of the articles in the second compartment and restricts movement of the articles outward with respect to the interior of the first compartment. The package is formed from a planar sheet (16) folded about the products. The folded sheet (16) defines a portion overlying the products and an extending portion extending beyond the products to define a foldable flap (29). The sheet is scored at a location overlying at least a portion of the products. The foldable flap is folded over the scored location and adhesively secured thereto such that upon opening the flap, the scored location is removed from its overlying location to expose the products for dispensing. The flap is reclosable over the exposed products.

Abstract: A semi-rigid flexible film pack for multi-packs, and method for manufacturing same, constructed from a gusseted bag. The invention provides for modifying a gusseted bag, heat sealing the gussets to their respective side walls, loading said gusseted bag with product, and then sealing the open end of the gusseted bag with a single sheet or web. The method of making this package is economical yet provides for a semi-rigid container ideal for use with single-serve pillow bags.

Abstract: A spring alignment mechanism utilizes a guide inserted into a display carton below merchandise items. A spring-driven rear pull member travels on the guide so that as items are removed from the carton, remaining items are pulled forward. In one example, the guide is inserted between the bottom of merchandise items and the carton bottom. In another example, merchandise items are supported on cardboard support rails built into the bottom of the carton, or provided on a carton insert; and the guide is inserted between the cardboard support rails.

Abstract: A packaging assembly having an open design for displaying a product is provided. The packaging assembly is configured for storage and display in high density arrays of packaging assemblies, such as storage in pallets, and is configured to display visual information to a user from any perspective, even when the packaging assembly is packed in high density arrays of packaging assemblies. The packaging assembly includes an inner portion designed to contain a product and a housing designed to house the inner portion, wherein the inner portion includes a substantially transparent cover that facilitates display of the product. The packaging assembly includes an outer portion having a three dimensional window box frame, wherein portions of the window box frame are configured to couple to flanges provided on the inner portion.

The first side wall has a transverse cross sectional area of a first predetermined shape and the second side wall has a transverse cross sectional area of a second predetermined shape, the second predetermined shape being different from the first predetermined shape. The tray also includes a side notch defined in at least a portion of the first side wall cross sectional area and a bottom notch defined in at least a portion of the second side wall cross sectional area. The side notch has a height substantially equal to the height of the first side wall and the bottom notch has a height less than the side notch height.

Abstract: The present invention provides a reclosable consumable product package for retaining an array of products until the products are desired to be removed. The package includes a container packet formed of a planar extent roll for retaining and enclosing the array of products. A cover with adhesive attached thereto defined by an openable flap overlies the packet. The packet is scored along its surface in such a way that opening of the flap causes the packet to open along the scoring to expose the product for dispensing.

Abstract: To be able to personalize each party with the person or pet the party is for customizing a photographic image of them on their party package which will be done on photo paper then placed on the party package with either a one sided or two sided adhesive. This will be done on paper and or plastic products consisting of party hats, cups, blowers etc. Extra thick photo paper for the placemat and then laminated, all these party packages will consist of a special design, for that particular occasion or holiday. The words (“Happy Birthday”), Congratulations, Happy New Year, etc. will be placed on the bottom of the place-mat and if wanted by the person a name and date.

Instead, the tissue sample remains oriented in a desired position throughout processing.

At the upper edge of the output hole is installed a supporting beam, protecting the products from crush damage. The slant sliding board inside the box body and the guideways of the guiding board enable the circular products to slide automatically to the output hole, and the circular products can be separated and arranged in arrays, saving the time for tidying up. Furthermore, the packaging and display boxes can be stacked or transported directly, reducing the storage space of many shops.

The holder device has an open frame construction and is lightweight, compact, and durable. The holder device has two bracket-like main components that are movably joined or connected at one common end and that can be secured or locked together at the other ends. By selecting material and strengthening design configuration of the two components to counteract the spring force of the coil or coils held therebetween, by strategically placing a positioning element to secure the cone or cones centrally, and by supporting their base from at least three sides, the holder device of the present invention offers sufficient support and efficient stowage of non-rigid safety cones in a convenient, secure, and cost effective manner.

Abstract: A novel packaging article and method are disclosed for an array of flexible, absorbent articles compressed or uncompressed, having an article front face, an article back face, an article top face, an article bottom face, and a pair of article side faces. An upper article section and a lower article section have mutually different calipers. The flexible, absorbent articles are placed in a configuration array such that article front faces contact article front faces or such that article back faces contact back faces of adjacent absorbent articles. The package provides an array having preferred size and requires less compressibility force. A flexible outer casing does not require compressing wrapping to maintain the array as previously required in conventional packaging arrays having a flexible outer casing. The packaging article and method are particularly suited for providing preferred advantages to the packaging and commercial distribution of disposable diapers.

In an embodiment, the sheet is attached to the housing and the products adhere to the sheet via a heat activated adhesive.

Abstract: The invention relates to a transportation method and a package system for transporting a set of large longitudinal items such as blades for a wind turbine (1) or a tower for a wind turbine. Taking wind turbine blades (1) as an example, the advantages of the invention reside in packaging a tip (3) of one blade and a base (2) of a second blade in the one and same package (5) such that two blades (1) may be transported in packages (5, 16) having an overall lateral extension, approximately the same as the base of only one blade (1) for the wind turbine. Thereby a very compact but also a very easy means of transportation of large longitudinal items such as wind turbine blades (1) is provided.

Abstract: An assembly for transporting, storing and merchandising plural articles of merchandise. The assembly comprises a shipping container in which a fixture and the articles of merchandise are located. The shipping container includes an outer carton and an inner compartment. The fixture is located within the inner compartment and includes an elongated display member and a bracket. The elongated display member supports the articles of merchandise. The shipping container includes a portion that can be opened to provide access to the bracket to enable the bracket to be connected to the elongated display member while that member is still within the shipping container. The fixture and the shipping carton can then be mounted on any vertically oriented structural member, whereupon the shipping container can be removed leaving the fixture in place with the merchandise suspended from it.

Abstract: A self-squaring corrugated container employs alignment markings on and adjacent to the manufacturing joint to allow quick visual inspection of placement and orientation of the manufacturing joint, and employs interlocking contoured peripheral edges on the major bottom flaps to allow consistent, quick, and easy formation of a container which is square, non-skewed to within small, strict tolerances. Both the alignment markings and contoured bottom flaps are die cut into the carton blank to insure uniform container alignment. Additional container features include employment of a hinged, partially detached top flap to accommodate use of the container to packaged bottles. Method steps are provided for forming the self-squaring container using the innovative features.

Abstract: A container, convertible from a shipping configuration to a displaying configuration, includes a shipping cover and a shipping liner fitted inside the shipping cover. The shipping liner defines a plurality of slots for laterally supporting display packs. The container also includes a display base, which also serves as a lid that fits on the shipping cover after the shipping liner and display packs have been packed therein in the shipping configuration. To convert from the shipping configuration to the displaying configuration, the container is positioned with the display base on bottom, and the shipping cover is lifted from the display base, leaving the display packs neatly in the display base and the shipping liner fixed in the shipping cover.
