Right and left fore sidewalls are removably mounted to the fore tray base, allowing for lateral expansion of the system. Abstract: Provided are embodiments of a method for determining a serum protein biomarker profile of a subject patient comprising: wicking blood from a subject onto a fluid sample collecting comb consisting of absorbent strips, each absorbent strip consisting of a fibrous absorbent wick configured to absorb a predetermined volume of blood; drying the blood samples on the wicks and eluting serum proteins into an elution buffer; determining the identities and levels of the extracted proteins by microarray analysis; comparing by computer the identities and levels of the extracted proteins with a reference database generated from the blood samples from a plurality of subjects collected by a fluid sample collecting comb and producing a computer-generated report of the identities and levels of the biomarkers of the subject and adjusting the treatment based on the identities and amounts of the protein biomarkers of the blood sample of the subject.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to forming shaped thermoplastic articles having smooth peripheries. Many thermoplastic articles have sharp edges formed upon molding or cutting the article from a feedstock sheet. Such sharp edges can damage thin plastic films or flesh which they contact, and smoothing the edges is desirable. Described herein are methods of forming a smooth periphery for such sharp-edged articles by rolling over the sharp edge. The smoothing operation is performed by forming a deflectable flange including a bend region separated from the potentially sharp peripheral edge by a spacer, deflecting a portion of the deflectable flange, and softening at least one bent portion of the deflectable flange to yield a smooth periphery upon cooling.

Abstract: The described embodiments relate to adjustable fixtures. A number of adjustable length cylindrical pins can be utilized to form a conformal support structure in accordance with a workpiece having any number of variations. At least three fixed length pins having heights lower than the adjustable length pins, can be interspersed with the adjustable length cylindrical pins to define an orientation at which the workpiece is held. Because the adjustable length pins have an uncompressed height greater than the fixed length pins, each of the adjustable length pins can be compressed in accordance with a bottom surface of the workpiece when the workpiece is pressed against the fixed length pin. In this way a conformal support structure can be formed that supports the workpiece during a machining operation.

The display rack has a presentation chamber for storing and visually presenting the products, having a front side which faces a customer, a rear side which is remote from a customer as well as a left-hand side and a right-hand side. The display rack also has a removal chamber having a removal opening for the removal of products from the display rack. A non-return device is provided between the presentation chamber and the removal chamber, and is arranged on the right-hand and/or left-hand side of the presentation chamber. Two panes are arranged one above the other as front covers for the front sides of the presentation chambers to define a pusher opening in a width direction.

Abstract: A corrugated paperboard wraparound blank for forming a shipping case is provided, including five wall panels and four sets of end flaps connected via fold lines, at least two sets of stacking tabs, and at least two corresponding sets of receiving slots for receiving the stacking tabs. The wraparound blank is formed of a heavier material than a conventional blank, which would typically be difficult for automatic packaging equipment to form into a case, but the fold lines are creased with optional perforations or scoring. An optional modification aiding folding is presented for conventional case packers. The heavier fiberboard better supports and protects an inner product, such as cartons or paper bottles of liquids and reduces damage to the cap and neck. The heavier material in combination with the stacking tabs allows an increase in stacking height, thereby reducing transportation costs.

Lips are formed at forward edges of adjacent troughs. Each lip includes an indentation or hole. A bridging connector includes a gap formed between front and back walls. The lips fit into the gap. First and second projections formed on the back wall project into the gap and removably snap into the indentions/holes of the adjacent lips. The first and second sliding trays slide as a single unit with the bridging connector installed on both lips. The bridging connector may pivot about the engagement between a projection and its mating indentation/hole when the other projection is removed from its mating indentation/hole, so that the adjacent sliding trays may slide independently.

In the inventive method, a user grips the combination via a gripping arrangement, and folds the combination along a fold line to convert it from a tray into a catching mitt.
