Associated with each groove are diskette support means comprising a front support face angled upwardly and forwardly from the area of the groove and a rear support face angled upwardly and rearwardly from the area of the groove. At least one support face of a pair associated with a groove has the undercut portion disposed from the plane of the opposing support face by a distance not less than and substantially equal to the thickness of the diskette to be held, and preferably parallel to the opposing support face. In the preferred embodiment, the diskette support means are positioned at only one end of each groove and successively alternating grooves have the support means at alternating ends of the grooves. Stop means at opposite ends of the grooves position the diskettes laterally and preventing lateral movement.Type: GrantFiled: June 11, 1985Date of Patent: December 16, 1986Inventors: Patrick C. Patent number: 4615444Abstract: An article support tray for supporting a plurality of articles, such as beverage cans, in predetermined spaced relationship to one another in a package containing a plurality of such articles, comprises a flat sheet with article engaging raised ribs on one surface which engage and wedge in place bottom ends of the articles to prevent rubbing together of the articles. A plurality of ribs engage each article around its periphery, and the ribs are shaped to automatically properly align the articles on the tray as the articles near their final position on the tray. The shape and disposition of the ribs on the tray are such that the articles are enabled to slide freely over the surface of the tray until the articles reach their final position of wedged engagement with the tray, and the ribs also reinforce the tray, permitting a very thin, lightweight, inexpensive structure to be used.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 1985Date of Patent: October 7, 1986Inventor: Pierre J. de Larosiere

Patent number: 4595098Abstract: A storage case for magnetic tape cassettes and their boxes is shown which includes a bottom box portion and rearwardly hinged top portion. The bottom portion includes a bottom wall, front and back walls, and opposite side walls. A plurality of parallel upwardly extending ribs are formed on the bottom wall. The spacing between ribs is slightly greater than the width of cassette boxes whereby boxes may be stored on the bottom wall between ribs. A pair of said ribs extends upwardly above the other ribs, which taller ribs are formed with notches which are slightly wider than the width of cassette tapes for support of cassette tapes above the bottom wall in a direction transverse to the parallel ribs. Flanges on the cassette tapes are located between the notched ribs and limit movement of the cassette tapes in the direction transverse to the parallel ribs.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 1984Date of Patent: June 17, 1986Inventor: Karl D. Patent number: 4593816Abstract: A container for storing and transporting letter mail and other flat articles, comprising a pair of side walls, a pair of end walls, a bottom member and a rim member extending outwardly from the side walls and end walls along the perimeter of the container, which are integrally formed as a unit. The side walls, end walls and bottom member define an enclosure for receiving articles. A removable cover member is provided for being positioned substantially in registration with the bottom member to cover the enclosure and protect the contents of the container. The container is preferably comprised of a lightweight material and manufactured using a thermoforming process. Rib members are disposed at pre-determined positions on the side walls, end walls, bottom member and cover member to provide structural integrity for the container.Type: GrantFiled: September 3, 1985Date of Patent: June 10, 1986Inventor: Keith A.
