Abstract: A portable storage device having a storage device body including a generally resilient shelf and flexible material partially surrounding the shelf and a connector attached to the flexible material, the connector having a hook and being configured to connect the storage device body to a support member in a manner that supports the shelf in a generally horizontal orientation. The portable storage device may also include a collapsible compartment suspended from the shelf to provide additional storage accommodations.

Abstract: Packaging apparatus for retaining a projectile launched from a launcher are disclosed. The packaging defining a chamber to receive the projectile and permit the visualization of the flight of the projectile after it is launched from the launcher. The launcher configured to impart a motive force to the projectile and to launch the projectile from the launcher. The launcher includes an actuator to permit a user to launch the projectile from the launcher and into the chamber while at least a portion of the launcher is secured within the packaging.

Abstract: An article of manufacture comprises a substrate which defines the shape of the article and which comprises a sliding surface adapted for sliding over the surface of snow or over ice or over water, which sliding surface is coated with an oxidation-resistant hydrocarbon wax coating which is long lasting and renders the sliding surface near super-hydrophobic and thus lowers the sliding drag of the sliding surface on snow, ice or water over which the substrate is adapted to be slid.

Abstract: A glove shaper kit for drying, forming and merchandising a golf glove is disclosed. The kit includes a moisture absorbing glove form having four fingers substantially parallel with each other proceeding from a wrist area with a hole formed in the wrist area, where the hole has an animal shape associated with a professional sports figure, means for attachment inserted within the non-uniformly shaped hole, a glove and a container.

Abstract: A target for use in an underwater target game and a method of the underwater target game are described. The target comprises a body for capturing a volume of gas; and one or more target surfaces positioned to release gas from an impacting vortex ring for capture by the body. A method comprises transitioning a target positioned within a body of water to a hit indication state in response to impact on the target by a vortex ring.

Abstract: A kit is provided so a person can exercise anywhere the person may be located. Body rockers have a handle to grip, which body rockers alone may be used by a user for many exercises. Elastic cords of varying lengths and strength may be attached to the body rockers with carabiners. By securing a part of the elastic cord to a stationary object, the limbs of the body can be exercised as well as abs and upper body. Door stops may be used to secure the elastic cords between a door and door frame. A rocker cover can be used for back and forth rocking motion of the user. All of these items may be loaded in a workout bag and carried with the user to exercise wherever the user may be located.

A dividing wall is attached to the peripheral wall and is spaced from and oriented parallel to the cover. A central compartment is defined between the dividing wall and the cover. The panels are extendable outwardly of the slots to define a play area backdrop having scene indicia thereon.

Abstract: Pool cue storage, display and transportation processes are provided which can include supporting a pool cue case in an upright longitudinal position with a member extendable from within the case. Pool cue cases are provided that may define a pool cue compartment having a member movably associated with the case, with the member configured to support the case when the case is in an open position.

Abstract: A play construction kit includes modules, connector parts and a storage box. The modules may be sized so that a child or adult requires two hands to move a module while in another embodiment, the modules may be sized so a small child can play with the modules at a desk or somewhere inside a room. The modules are either primary modules or secondary modules. Primary modules have at least one full aperture or at least one half-aperture. The primary modules have an aperture diameter that ranges in size but is sufficient to allow the connector part to pass through. The connector part may fit in any aperture diameter with or without friction. Secondary modules serve to support or work with said primary modules or connector parts.

Abstract: A carrier for use with a jigsaw puzzle that includes an outer cover repositionable between closed and open positions and having first and second flaps. A sidewall structure extends about a substantial portion of the first and second flaps. The carrier also includes an assembly panel and at least one sorting panel. Registration of alignment surfaces on the assembly and sorting panels positions the sorting panel relative to the assembly panel whereby puzzle pieces on the assembly panel are engaged between the assembly and sorting panels. When the outer cover is open, the assembly and sorting panels are positionable in a side-by-side configuration within the sidewall structure. When the outer cover closed, a first portion of the puzzle pieces are securely engageable between assembly and sorting panels and a second portion of the puzzle pieces are securely engageable between the sorting panel and one of the flaps.

The board is in a shape suggestive of the sport involved, for example, a home plate for a baseball. Removable frame supports allow the board to freely stand on a flat surface for display purposes. Abstract: Embodiments of golf club fitting bags and methods of manufacture are generally described herein. An article for transporting and displaying a golf club to fitting kit comprises a body comprising at least one toting mechanism to allow a single individual to transport the article, at least one shaft compartment to contain a plurality of golf club shafts, and a plurality of shelves to contain a plurality of golf club heads separate from the golf club shafts. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: The invention includes a three dimensional periodic table of the chemical elements and a method of learning about the periodic nature of the elements. Included are several cardboard or paper sheets, each having a plurality of blocks that display information about particular elements. The blocks are arranged in groupings of elements with similar properties, such as the transition Earth metals. Students follow a set of instructions provided with the sheets to cut out the groups, fold along particular lines, and affix tabs together to assemble several three dimensional forms. The students then place the forms on a planar map that indicates where to place each form and indicates how to follow the periods of elements between the forms.

Abstract: The present invention provides a bat access and storage device for baseball and softball bats. In an exemplary embodiment, the bat access and storage device includes an athletic equipment bag including a general periphery defining an interior. The athletic equipment bag includes an access communicating with the interior. The bat access and storage device also provides a bat sack including a general body and a bat receptacle carried by the general body. The bat sack is adapted to be received within the interior of the athletic equipment bag via the access for storing multiple bats within the interior. Additionally, the bat sack is adapted to be removed via the access to provide accessibility to multiple bats outside of the athletic equipment bag.

Abstract: The use of spot locations that are freely movable with respect to one another and that include different uses for each side is an improvement over the prior art. A basketball game includes at least one ball, a playing surface, a support structure, a backboard, a hoop, and a plurality of spot locations, and may further include a timekeeping device. Each spot location has a first surface which may include a first plurality of raised dimples arranged thereon and a second surface, in opposition to the first surface, which may include a second plurality of raised dimples arranged thereon. The first surface has a first marking thereon and the second surface has a second marking thereon. On at least one spot location, the first marking differs from the second marking. Additionally, a basketball game package and method of playing a basketball game utilize aspects of the basketball game.

Abstract: A method of displaying exercise weight components in a retail environment includes disposing a weight case in a retail environment, the weight case including a bottom member and a first side wall attached to the bottom member, the first side wall including a opening formed into an outer face of the first side wall and adapted to maintain an exercise weight component in a substantially upright manner with the bottom member resting on a support surface. A plurality of exercise weight components is maintained by the weight case, at least one of the plurality of weight components maintained in the opening of the first side wall. The exercise weight component maintained in the opening of the first side wall is presented to an observer.

Abstract: A case for carrying pole vault poles is made of an elongate flexible bag of a length approximately equal to the length of the pole vault pole or poles to be carried and a sheet of semi-rigid laterally bendable material generally coextensive with the bag and forming therewith a shell for protectively encircling the pole or poles contained within the bag. The bag is preferably of butterfly style foldable and unfoldable about a longitudinal fold line between a closed position and an open position. The sheet of semi-rigid material lies flat in the open position of the bag and is bendable about the longitudinal fold line to form a pole encircling protective shell in the closed position of the bag. The case facilitates convenient carrying of pole vault poles from place to place, for example, from track meet to track meet, and insures safe, damage free transport of pole vault poles when transported, for example, via commercial carriers.

Means for attaching or holding a writing implement is provided on the apparatus. The main body of the apparatus, preferably constructed from plastic, is contoured to facilitate griping the apparatus while a player is signing the article. In alternative embodiments, the apparatus may be constructed in a two-piece, interlocking design to permit multiple uses. The apparatus may also bear graphical information for advertising, identification, or other informational uses.

The closed-shape can be repeatedly opened and closed to remove and refill the novelty items. The container can be any closed-shape required for end use. A lock/release plug is used to both open and lock the closed-shape into a closed state. The lock/release plug is dimensioned to fit within the interior diameter of the closed-shape. The closed-shape has slots proximate each open end that interact with compression tabs on the lock/release plug. A center stop assists in aligning the compression tabs with the slots. The container can be configured to be a hula hoop or be adorned on one's body, such as a necklace or a bracelet.

Abstract: The invention comprises a portable weight set storage system and weight set kit. The weight set storage system comprises a portable and compact case that also functions as a display rack for the weight sets. The weight set can be stored in the lid portion and/or the bottom portion of the case. The case comprises identical lid and bottom halves each of which have vertical slots in their inner surfaces. These vertical slots are designed to hold adjustable weight discs in an upright or vertical position when the case is resting in a horizontal plane. The weight set storage system also comprises indentations for storing dumbbell bars and barbell bars. These indentations are smaller than the actual bar, hence the bar has to be forced or snap-locked into the indentation, thus securing the bar. When the case is in a closed position, the lid vertical slots overlap with the bottom vertical slots to form a compact enclosure that securely holds the discs in place.

Abstract: A portable enclosure for storing and carrying baseball and other athletic equipment consists of six fabric-covered rigid panels which can be closed by means of a single continuous zipper to form a rigid rectangular parallelepiped that can be carted easily by means of wheels located at a lower edge. When the portable enclosure is unzipped into the open position, the back wall and side walls open up flat so that the pockets, shelves and pouches located on the interior surfaces thereof are accessible. Yet, since the portable enclosure is now flat, it can be located out of the way, secured against the back of the dugout where it will not create a trip hazard for the players.

Abstract: An equipment selecting system for assisting in selecting optimal fishing equipment for catching a desired type of fish that includes a correlating device for displaying a first reference and a second reference. The first reference is associated with a type of fish selected from a plurality of types of fish. Each fishing kit is optimized for fishing for one of the plurality of types of fish. The second reference of the correlating device is associated with a suggested one of the fishing kits. The fishing kits are preferably assembled to provide optimal equipment for a particular species of fish, as indicated by the correlating device.
