The cover body includes a top portion and four side flaps with a rubber band system. The side flaps are configured to include an extended portion at the corners with anchor points and guide notches to keep the rubber bands in position. The side flaps are in the up position when the pallet is being moved and are flipped down to cover the sides of the pallet. In one embodiment, the pallet cover includes utility slots to facilitate the inclusion of graphic panels and other merchandising articles.

Abstract: A method and apparatus to provide for a safe way to attach and remove metal strapping from a pallet or other shipping structure. The metal strapping is attached to a safety device which receives the metal strap before it is tightened around shipping materials. The metal strap is then tightened and the safety device is secured to the metal strap. After the materials reach their destination, the metal strap is then cut at the safety device and the safety device restrains the metal strap from whipping back and causing injury to anyone.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to a cover, a method of covering, and a cover system for shipments of products transported by air with ULDs. The cover system can be adapted to any skid such as wooden or plastic pallets used for smaller loads used in air transport or any other mode of transportation. The cover system can include one or multiple parts. Each part of the cover system can be made of one or more layers. Each layer can be made of a single material or a combination of different materials. Different parts of the cover can be made of different materials or different combination of materials. The cover system provides thermal protection to temperature-sensitive products in or on the ULD. The cover system maintains the proper relative humidity level and gas concentrations for horticultural product loads. The cover system decreases the amount of water vapor released in the cargo holds.

The base wrapping material may be a netting, film, or combination thereof. The wrapping material includes a plurality of pre-defined, discrete, spaced-apart adhesive areas disposed on each side of the opposing sides of the wrapping material. The longitudinal spacing of the adhesive areas allows the wrapping material to be rolled onto a roll core so that the discrete spaced-apart adhesive areas contact only non-adhesive areas of the wrapping material thereby forming a first level of adhesion that easily allows the wrapping material to be released and unrolled. When wrapping an item, corresponding discrete adhesive areas come into face-to-face contact thereby forming a second level of adhesion that is stronger than the first level of adhesion.

One of the slip frame former and the bottom support moves vertically relative to other in response to the fill level of the bulk goods. As bulk goods are added to the transportable container, the position of the slip frame former is radially adjusted to modify the shape of the transportable container. As the fill level increases in the transportable container, previously disposed portions of outer wrap are disengaged from the slip frame former to squeeze the filled portions of the transportable container. Additional portions of outer wrap are disposed around a portion of the slip frame former to maintain the transportable container for receiving bulk goods as the previously disposed portions of outer wrap are disengaged.

Abstract: This invention is directed to film wrapped and heat shrunk bundles of gabled containers to form bundles that can be stacked on pallets and not be constrained by the gables in determining the size of the bundles. This is accomplished by nesting the gable containers on a conveyor on their side. The nesting of the gable containers on their side provides a stable structure that can be moved on a conveyor to be film wrapped. After film wrapping, the containers are conveyed to a heat shrink tunnel to form bundles of gable containers that can be placed on a pallet.
