Having Means To Receive Cover Flap Of Match Packet (e.g., Tongue And Slot Connection) Patents (Class 206/95)
  • Patent number: 6080350
Abstract: The present invention includes processes and resulting structures for producing moisture absorbing desiccant entrained polymers. A polymer is caused to assume a molten state, typically by applying heat and melting the polymer. A channeling agent is blended then reacted into the polymer so that it is distributed within the polymer. A desiccating agent is then blended into the product so that the desiccating agent is distributed within the product. The product is solidified so that the channeling agent forms passages in the product through which moisture is communicable to desiccating agent that is entrained within the product. The solidified product may be used to form plug type inserts and liners for closed containers, or it may be formed into any shaped article.

  • Patent number: 4165804
Abstract: A closure and protector for covering an upper end of a conventional soft pack cigarette package is disclosed having a pair of parallel, spaced, U-shaped members with orthogonally extending upper portions forming a framework. A stationary cover member is fixed to the upper portions of the framework and extends over a major portion of the top surface of the cigarette package. A smaller lid portion is hinged to the stationary cover portion and includes a catch means engageable with the frame to maintain the lid portion in a closed position. A lid biasing means is included for biasing the lid portion toward an open position. A book-match retaining means is pivotally attached to an exposed portion of the frame in an aperture in the stationary cover member.

  • Patent number: 4046252
Abstract: This invention relates to a cigarette pack of the crushproof type which conventionally has front and back walls joined by side walls into a substantially rigid package, the pack having a top hinged at the back wall and cooperating with the front wall to form a cover for the pack. The improved cigarette pack of the present invention is provided with means defining a slot near the bottom of the front wall of the container, the slot extending at an acute angle greater than 0.degree. and less than 45.degree. to the transverse dimension of the front wall. The slot is spaced from the upper edge of the front wall a distance sufficient to accommodate the back of a book of matches when the back of such book is received through the slot and extends behind the front wall.

  • Patent number: RE33646
Abstract: A dispensing pouch containing premeasured laundry compositions comprises a flexible, porous pouch having a plurality of valves or supplementary openings along its edges. The dispensing pouch permits rapid dispersion of a highly soluble laundry detergent through the pouch valves, which open as the pouch is compressed during laundry agitation in a machine washer. Washer-resistant fabric softener/antistatic chips larger than the pouch valve openings remain inside the pouch through wet cycles, to be dispensed as they melt and wick through the porous pouch fabric in a machine dryer.
