Belt Patents (Class 209/428)
  • Patent number: 9339848
Abstract: The invention relates to a separation-apparatus for separating from a particle-stream at least a first fraction with particles of a first group of dimensions, and a second fraction with particles of a second group of dimensions, comprising an infeed-device for the particle-stream, a rotatable drum having at its circumference plates, each plate having a radially extending hitting surface for the particles, at least a first receiving area proximal to the drum for receipt therein of particles of the first fraction, and at least a second receiving area distant from the drum for receipt therein of particles of the second fraction, wherein the apparatus has a housing so as to protect the particles from outside weather-conditions, allowing that the particles of the particle-stream to be processed by said apparatus have dimensions in the range 0-15 mm.

  • Patent number: 6533944
Abstract: The method relates to the recovery of fine sand on floating production equipment in the form of a floating grab-bucket type excavator or floating bucket chain dredger. In this case, the dredged material is dewatered and transported to shore via floating conveyor belts. The dredged material is transferred to dewatering screening machine having a dewatering deck with a dewatering coating. Below the dewatering deck the screening machine has a blind bottom covering the entire surface area, whereby in the direction of conveyance the end zone is provided with a discharge. The discharge is directed at a hydro belt separator, which has a revolving endless conveyor belt with a washing trough as the separation bed, and an ascending part leading away from the washing trough. The running direction of the conveyor belt is in the direction of the ascent, whereby the dredged material is transferred at the discharge of the screening machine to the washing trough of the hydro belt separator.

  • Patent number: 6095341
Abstract: An apparatus and process for separating contaminants from particulate material for separating undesirable debris from particulate material such as sand or gravel quickly and efficiently for increasing the production of separated gravel. A conveyor having a frame and a belt with corrugated side walls defining a channel for retaining water. The conveyor includes a second roller adjacent a rear portion of the conveyor, wherein a cornice of the second roller is preferably at an elevation equivalent to an upper edge of the corrugated side walls. At least one dividing member having a front edge, wherein the front edge projects into an upper layer of water within the channel for separating the upper layer from a lower layer of the water. Water is supplied to the channel adjacent the rear portion and a mixture of contaminated rock is supplied thereafter through a delivery chute.

  • Patent number: 6059120
Abstract: A device for washing out and classifying organic, clay-like and other impurities from gravel, comprising a charging chute for feeding material into a washing trough. The washing trough comprises a conveyor belt designed to move in a direction perpendicular to the direction of the flow of material and a plurality of shower devices designed to act against the direction of travel of the belt. The conveyor belt is supported by a series of support rollers and tension rollers.

  • Patent number: 4578174
Abstract: An oxygen sensor having a bar-shaped heater inserted in an elongate bore formed in a tubular solid electrolyte body which has porous platinum electrodes on its inner and outer surfaces and which is supported by a housing such that its closed end portion is exposed to exhaust gas and such that the elongate bore is gas-tight with respect to the exhaust gas. The bar-shaped heater comprises a heating resistor having a positive temperature coefficient, and a ceramic boyd carrying the heating resistor so as to embed the latter.

  • Patent number: 4253941
Abstract: To avoid using salt in a costly flotation separator process for various products of differing specific gravities, a fresh water flotation system is employed having a controlled buoyancy zone in which an induced current or up-flow elevates the product component of lesser specific gravity causing it to overflow a product conveyor divider member and to settle on that side of the conveyor away from the product component of greater specific gravity. The separation of clam meat from clam shells is envisioned.
