Abstract: A conveyer belt having a plurality of raised crescent shaped protrusions extending upward from its flat body and arranged in an array of aligned vertical columns and horizontal rows. Each protrusion has rounded surfaces with no sharp edges, which helps prevent damage to produce as the produce falls upon the conveyer belt. The crescent shape of the protrusions along with the sloped and rounded surfaces form a plurality of pockets spaced and staggered across the conveying surface of the conveyer belt.
Abstract: The invention relates to a sorting device and method for sorting granulated mass containing varied materials, such as granulated mass containing varied materials, such as granulated electronic scrap. According to the invention, the sorting device comprises a planar, elongated trough conveyor (1) having at least a first elongated and vertical edge (2, 3, 4); a feeding device (5) for feeding the mass into the first end (6) of the trough conveyor; a vibrator (9) provided with a motor (7) and an eccentric (8), whose rotation axis (10) is disposed in a plane deviating from the plane defined by the trough conveyor so that the mass proceeds obliquely forwards in the trough conveyor towards the first edge and second end (11); a first suction device (12) for removing the lightest surface portion of the mass near the edge, a guide (13) which is oblique with respect to the edge for bringing apart the mass flow from the edge; as well as a mechanical separator member (14) for dividing the mass flow into two parts.
Abstract: A mineral slurry processing machine for recovering gold from raw fines. An elongated, rigid skid supports a frame plate coupled thereto by vibration transmitting bearings. An inclined processing ramp is adjustably mounted to the plate. An endless belt entrained over the ramp for continual rotation is equipped with a specially grooved working surface which helps separate gold from the slurry. A plurality of similar, regularly spaced apart grooves are cut into the exposed working surface of the belt, and the angulated configuration of the grooves facilitates particle separation and recovery. The belt is divided into a fine receiving region and an adjacent gold conveying region. Each groove includes a first segment which is "angled" with respect to the direction of travel of the belt, and a second segment which is substantially perpendicular to the direction of travel of the belt. Separate fine receiving and gold conveying regions thus exist.
Abstract: A device for sorting copied papers discharged from a copy machine according to page numbers thereof includes a guide plate pivotably mounted to a casing of the device at its one end adjacent a paper outlet of the copy machine. At the other end of the guide plate, a pair of paper-feeding rollers are disposed. The device also includes a lift motor adapted to pivot the guide plate in a stepwise manner via a pulley and a wire. Adjacent the guide plate, a plurality of trays are fixedly disposed.
