Separator For Use On Swimming Pool Or Spa Bottom And Separator For Use At Water Surface Patents (Class 210/167.15)
  • Patent number: 10738495
Abstract: A robotic pool cleaner can operate while submerged to clean floor and side wall surface areas of the pool. A second embodiment of the pool cleaner can clean debris while skimming water along the top surface of the pool water. A third embodiment of the pool cleaner when inverted from submerged cleaning mode into skimmer mode, exposes on its bottom surface solar panels by which the pool cleaner's internal batteries can be recharged. A fourth embodiment of the pool cleaner includes different combinations of the submerged cleaning mode, the skimming mode and the battery charging mode.

  • Patent number: 8062514
Abstract: The invention discloses a process to implement and maintain water bodies larger than 15,000 m3 for recreational use, which comprises the following steps: a.—providing a structure able to contain a large water body larger than 15,000 m3; b.—feeding the structure of step (a) with inlet water; c.—measuring water pH; d.—adding an oxidizing agent to the water contained in the structure of step (a), e.—adding a flocculating agent in concentrations within 0.02 and 1 ppm with maximal frequencies of 6 days and cleaning the bottom of the structure of step (a) with a suction device to remove precipitated impurities from the bottom of said structure, and; f.—generating a displacement of surface water containing impurities and surface oils by means of the injection of inlet water according to step (b), which generates said displacement in such a way to remove said surface water arranged in the structure of step (a), which together with step (e) replaces traditional filtering.

  • Patent number: 8007653
Abstract: An automated self-propelled pool cleaner having a housing, a water pump for moving water through the housing, drive means for moving the pool cleaner over the surface of the salt water pool to be cleaned, and an integral electrochemical chlorine generator mounted in the housing, includes a processor/controller that is programmed to activate the chlorine generator, the pump and drive means in predetermined operational sequences that minimize wear and tear on the water pump and drive means, while at the same time distribute and maintain a safe level of sanitizing chlorine in the pool, to thereby obviate the need for an in-line chlorinator or other chemical additive treatments; an optional automated sensor device can be provided to activate a secondary maintenance program which enables the pool cleaner to operate over prolonged periods of time as the sole means for filtering and sanitizing the pool water.

  • Patent number: 7862712
Abstract: A pool cleaning installation that circulates water of a pool filtering and cleaning the water, having a suction connection to a flexible hose of a suction type automated pool cleaner and a return to a Venturi (10) located in the weir (5) of the pool which has a return pipe (11) to the pool, so that the Venturi action draws water into the weir to skim debris off the pool surface to collect in a leaf basket. The operation of the automated pool cleaner on the pool bottom and walls is not affected should the surface debris clog the leaf basket in the weir.

Abstract: A skimmer assembly has an upper housing and a lower housing. The lower housing contains a removable filter cartridge and the upper housing contains a floating cylindrical weir and a floating rotatable member atop the floating weir. The walls of the upper housing are curved and the water entrance includes a vertical slot which allows water to enter in a column, hit the curved wall and cause a whirlpool which causes the rotatable member to spin. The preferred embodiment includes a disposable annular filter disc removably attached to the rotatable member.
