The clearance height between the convex transfer surface and the floor is preferably in the range of 1 to 8 millimetres.

Abstract: An interface module of a skimmer for a swimming pool or spa includes an adjustable face assembly that rotatably adjusts within an angular range, inward and/or outward with respect to vertical, that includes the expected possible angles of the pool wall, to provide a substantially planar mounting surface that is parallel to the wall of the swimming pool or spa. A waterproof shroud interconnects mounting brackets of the assembly, expanding and contracting as the mounting brackets are rotated relative to each other. The assembly can be integrated with the skimmer during manufacture of the skimmer, or poolside during skimmer installation. The installer positions the assembly approximate a skimmer aperture in the pool wall, actuates the adjustment mechanism of the interface module to select and lock the desired angle, and secures the interface module flush against the angled pool wall, with the throat module and vessel of the skimmer remaining upright.

Abstract: A portable pool filter cleaning assembly is configured to retain a pool filter on support rod and allow the pool filter to spin from a spray of water. The spinning filter releases debris from the filter surface through centrifugal force. The assembly has drainage features to ensure proper drainage of water collected within the interior of the pool filter and enable proper spinning from the spray of water. The assembly utilizes a support rod with a bottom filter retainer that is conical in shape for engaging with the pool filter aperture. The bottom filter retainer may further have a bearing that enables the pool filter to rotate freely about the rod with very little force. The assembly may include a stand for securing the support rod on a hard surface, such as concrete or on an uneven lawn surface.

In an embodiment, the device fills fresh water, from a water source, into one or more bags as the old water is pumped from the bottom of the pool. In an embodiment, the water exchange device is further provided with a regulation system. In the embodiment, the regulation system cuts off the fresh water supply if the water level exceeds a predetermined height. Furthermore, the regulation system may shut off the pump if the water level drops below a predetermined height.

An entry well is provided between the first weir and the second weir to allow passage of water from the main body of the swimming pool, and a collection box is provided downstream of the second weir and in fluid communication with the first and second weirs. An outlet from the collection box allows outflows of water, and a weir door may be positioned in the second weir with the weir door hinged to permit rotation with an arc of 90° or thereabouts. The weir door is preferably located opposite the entry well and preferably includes a float to facilitate movement of the weir door in correspondence with the water level inside the skimmer box assembly.

The switching part can execute at least one of a first operation and a second operation, wherein the first operation is to switch a supply and a stop of water to the sanitary washing device, and the second operation is to switch a supply and a stop of electric power to the sanitary washing device, and wherein the first operation and the second operation are executed manually. The fixation member fixes the switching part at a manually operable position inside the skirt part, wherein the switching part is manually operable at the position.

Abstract: Mounting arrangements for pool skimmers, methods for mounting pool skimmers, pool skimmer adapter plates, and pool skimmer installation kits are provided that provide unique opportunities to overcome the limitations of the prior art. Aspects of the invention include an external adapter plate having an internal cavity sized to receive an inlet of a pool skimmer assembly and an internal adapter plate having an internal cavity positioned to at least partially align with an inlet opening of the inlet of the pool skimmer assembly. The use of the adapter plates allows the pool designer and installer broad latitude in selecting a proper skimmer assembly with minimal if any impact upon the design of the pool wall or panel used. Aspects of the invention are uniquely adapted to panel-type pool construction, but may be adaptable for any pool skimmer installation.

A method may include sensing the electrical current supplied to a variable speed pump to determine when the pump changes speeds and selectively supplying water to one or more ancillary equipment such that the ancillary equipment maintains sufficient water flow to operate. A system may include a multi-speed pump that generates water flow above a first rate, a controller configured to sense a reduction in power drawn by the multi-speed pump below a setpoint, and responsively communicate to the ancillary equipment to suspend operation of the ancillary equipment.

Abstract: A swimming pool net includes a mesh material and a frame that circumscribes the mesh. Fasteners are positioned in the frame to secure the mesh to the frame. A pair of mounts is formed in the frame in opposed relation to one another. A spring has opposed ends that respectively engage the opposed mounts. The spring is taut when its opposite ends engage the mounts. A middle section of the spring is manually pulled and spaced apart from the mesh by a preselected distance, followed by abrupt release of the spring, causing the middle section to travel from a first side of the frame to a second side, striking the mesh as the spring passes through the plane of the frame and ejecting items away from the mesh. The mounts may be apertures or posts or the ends of the spring may be embedded in the frame.

Abstract: A debris catching device for surge tanks in swimming pool circulation systems prevents debris from building up within a surge tank. The debris catching device includes a net member for capturing the debris before it enters the surge tank and an elongate main body that is adjustably extendable to select lengths for proper installation. A drawstring cord extending through the length of the elongate main body and around the lining of the net member is provided for cinching the net member closed around the exterior of the gutter drain pipe so that the captured debris doesn't spill out of the net and into the surge tank. A support cord attached to the elongate main body and having opposite ends attached to the lining of the net member may be used for holding the net member in an upright position.

The device utilizes water flow within a tubular member to provide mechanical force to rotate a rotor. The electrical generator includes a rotor comprising an impeller, wherein the rotor is configured to receive liquid flow within an electromagnetic induction armature from the tubular member, a stator configured to generate electrical energy within a plurality of coils utilizing a magnetic flux generated by the electromagnetic induction armature when rotated adjacent to the stator, and a bypass tubular member configured to selectively route liquid around the electrical generator to adjust voltage of generated electrical energy. The device is operable within a swimming pool circulation system and feeds back electrical power to the pool pump.

In some embodiments, the present invention provides at least one track that is attached to the pool sidewall and a second weir that moves along the track. In other embodiments, the present invention provides a deflector that is attached to the pool sidewall, extends from the sidewall and above the skimmer opening, and includes a side opening adjacent for feeding water to the skimmer opening. Without being bound to any particular theory, it is believed that the apparatuses are cheap to manufacture, safe, conserve water and chemical use, and allow for an aesthetically pleasing full pool.

Abstract: A whirlpool skimming device removes surface debris from a pool by creating a whirlpool having an upper bound at the surface of the pool. The uppermost portion of the whirlpool is free standing and is not bounded by the device. The device includes an outer cup-shaped portion and an inner cup-shaped portion coaxially disposed therein. An opening is disposed in the bottom of the inner cup-shaped portion which communicates with a source of suction which is preferably a Venturi tube feeding the outlet water to a filter bag. There is a first nozzle supplying water at an upper, inner edge of the inner cup-shaped portion at a slightly downward angle in a first direction, and there is a second nozzle supplying water at a lower, outer edge of the inner cup-shaped portion and mounted on an opposite side of the inner cup-shaped portion.

Regions join the bar and the plates. The plates are closest together at the interface of the interior and exterior ends. The plates increase their separation at the interface during operation and use in response to the flow of water between the plates.

Abstract: A moving and floating pool cleaner apparatus includes a circular cap, a basket, a floating container, an attachment tube, and a T-shaped adapter. The moving and floating pool cleaner apparatus attaches with an existing automatic pool cleaner, and cleans the surface of the pool water by removing all of the floating debris. The circular cap is attached to the floating container, and the floating container is attached with the automatic pool cleaner through the attachment tube and the T-shaped adapter. The basket is positioned within the floating container. The pool water with floating debris goes into the floating container and then to the basket, where the basket retains bigger particles while the pool water redirects into the attachment tube. Then the pool water is forwarded into a pool cleaning unit so that the pool water can be thoroughly cleaned before pumps back into the pool.

Abstract: A floating skimmer that is adapted to float on the surface of the water to collect surface debris. The skimmer comprises an inlet connected to a substantially tubular body having an intake port. The substantially tubular body connects to a conduit assembly having an outlet port connecting to the hose of an external suction pump. The conduit assembly may have a plurality of ports such as an intake pipe for connection to an underwater vacuum and a tubing input assembly. The tubing input assembly connects to flexible inlet tubes of various lengths to allow the flow of water and debris from various depths of the pool into the skimmer. In operation, the debris collected from the various intake pipes and ports is removed from the skimmer through suction provided from the external suction pump. This skimmer allows debris to be collected from the surface of the pool as well as from various depths in the pool.

Abstract: Strong acid cation resins used alone or in combination with zeolite-based ion exchange resins are encapsulated in various water permeable polymer fabric bags of various geometries and thicknesses to reduce the calcium hardness levels during swimming pool and spa water fills. A pool water inlet is connected to filter housing bottom wall in the area of the housing space and a return pipe is connected to the bottom wall in communication with a center passage of the filter structure so that pool water can be circulated through the filter structure. A pond surface decanter and skimmer uses a floating platform and suspended plenum to draw an upper layer of liquid off of a lower liquid without removing the lower liquid. The skimmer may be used to separate a heavy and light liquid. The skimmer is useful in many applications such as removing rainwater from evaporation ponds.

The second housing includes a pump element spaced apart from the first housing and draws water from the swimming pool and pump water into the first housing through the skimmer element and the filtration element, for filtering and purification purposes and finally ejecting filtered water. The third housing is spaced apart from the first and second housing and includes an output element to receive and eject filtered water. The system of the present disclosure is non invasive in nature and provides flexibility of installation.
