    Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus that both makes ozone gas and enables the creation of AOPs in the fluid flowing up the lift tube. The ozone gas and UV radiation are produced by the same UV generating ozone lamps. The apparatus can easily be connected to and becomes part of a lift tube. The apparatus enables pressurized air supplied by an air pump to be partially converted into ozone as the air flows by the UV lamps. This “ozonated air” is then released into a fluid by a diffuser placed in a lift tube below the apparatus. The ozonated bubbles, in turn, create an ozonated fluid that flows up the lift tube and through the apparatus preferably through a specially designed quartz tube that is matched to the size of the lift tube.

The system comprising a filter system, a diffusive membrane system, a plurality of membrane sensors, and at least one membrane controller. The filter system is fluidly connected to the diffusive membrane system, wherein the filter system comprises a plurality of straining filter banks. The diffusive membrane system comprises a plurality of membrane banks each having an inlet and an outlet. The plurality of membrane sensors are positioned at the outlet of each of the plurality of membrane banks, and the plurality of membrane sensors are configured to detect the total dissolved solids level at the outlet of each of the plurality of membrane banks.

Polymer compositions comprising the semi-crystalline polymer and a solvent are provided to a devolatilizing device, where the solvent is at least partially evaporated under vacuum conditions, resulting in removal of heat from the polymer by evaporative cooling and crystallization of the polymer. Once the polymer has reached the desired temperature, the polymer exits the devolatilizer and is pelletized. Semi-crystalline polymers that may be used in the present invention include propylene-based copolymers, such as propylene-ethylene and propylene-hexene copolymers having a heat of fusion, Hf, from about 5 to about 75 J/g and a weight average molecular weight, Mw, from about 10,000 to about 200,000 g/mol.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to an assembly and a method of treating rainwater to produce potable water. A compact and easy-to-install apparatus is achievable as a result of a simple, yet highly effective sanitization method. Rainwater is entrained with a gas, and the entrained rainwater is irradiated with an ultraviolet (UV) light to fully sanitize the rainwater. The UV light is used during the irradiation of the entrained water and is also used to form a gaseous bactericide which is used to entrain the rainwater. None of the disadvantages of the prior art systems apply to any rainwater treatment systems which use this method. All of the connections between the component parts may be already provided for in this rainwater treatment unit, and consequently both installation and maintenance costs will be significantly reduced in comparison to the rainwater treatment systems which are known from the prior art.

    Abstract: This is a scalable water cleansing system intended for very low technology primitive communities buildable for between $600 and $1,000 of parts. A gravity feed system is contemplated with one or more of an initial filtering stage(s), a settling stage, a UV treatment stage, and an ozonator stage. A stand-alone power system with solar power needing no infrastructure is contemplated to enhance purification. The system can improve the worst of water quality, including for small groups; and under some conditions to end up with clean water of a quality found in developed countries with mature water systems. For water to the site in communities with low precipitation, the water brought in would be emptied into the initial stage of the water cleansing system, and the person who brought the water would draw from the last stage most or all of the amount of water carried in.
