  • Patent number: 10293287
Abstract: In the water filter assembly, the flow path could be changed to the bypass flow path or the purified water flow path, when the inner moves upwardly and downwardly in the filter head by combining or separating of the filter body and filter head. The inner is movably inserted to the filter head. The elastic member changes the flow path to bypass flow path when the filter body is separated by elastic biasing the inner between the filter head and the inner to downward direction of the filter head. If the user pushes the inner to the inside of the filter head by mistake when the filter body is separated from the filter head, the inner is pushed out to be the original position, so that the filter body can be rapidly combined to the filter head including the inner.

  • Patent number: 9314722
Abstract: A filter and its holder each have a keyed surface, one being a protruding “key” and one being a recessed “lock,” wherein cooperation of these keyed surfaces is required in order for the filter to be installed in the holder. Modification/adaptation of the keyed surfaces, by changing the location, number and length of the key protrusions and cooperating recesses during manufacture, allows various sets of mating filters and holders to be produced so that only mating/matching filters and holders may be connected together. The keyed protrusions are preferably located on an upper shoulder or on protruding flange(s) of the upper end of the filter. The cooperating recess structure inside the filter holder comprises axial recesses that allow axial insertion of the key protrusions, and hence the filter, into the holder and also a circumferential recesses portion that receives multiple key protrusions to retain the filter in the holder.

Abstract: The present invention presents a filtration system with an integrated manifold valve. The filtration system employs only one pivotal component—the pivoting of the manifold. The manifold valve includes a dual aperture design for a two-fold alignment scheme with the ingress and egress lines of the fluid source. The invention is free of multi-component rotary valve with internal, rotatable parts, or an activation component, such as a handle, for initiating the rotary valve, allowing the user to rotate the rotational components thereof. The reduction in moveable components in this design reduces the likelihood of failure and increases the reliability of the filtration system.

Abstract: A filter unit includes a body portion having a proximal end and a distal end and a shoulder disposed therebetween. An engagement protrusion extends from the proximal end. The engagement protrusion includes a sidewall with a water inlet and an engagement wall with a water outlet. A cross-section of the engagement protrusion taken orthogonal to the longitudinal extent of the filter unit has only one axis of symmetry. A first engagement surface traverses approximately one-quarter of an outside circumference of the body portion. A second engagement surface traverses approximately one-quarter of an outside circumference of the body portion opposite the first engagement surface. A laterally extending key member is disposed on the body portion proximate the shoulder. An electronic device is positioned on the body portion adapted to store usage information relating to the capacity and usage of the filter unit.

Abstract: The invention relates to a filtering device for fluids, comprising a filter housing (I). At least one filtering element (9) which is in the form of a filter cartridge and which defines a longitudinal axis (11) can be received in said filter housing. The filter cartridge has an end cap (17) on at least one end, said end cap fanning an enclosure for the corresponding end edge of the filtering material (23, 35). The end cap can be fixed on an element receiving means (13), which interacts with the bottom part (5) of the filter housing (1), in order to fix the position of the filtering element (9) in the functional position thereof. The element receiving means forms a fluid path for the cleaned fluid exiting the filtering hollow chamber (19) of the filtering element (9).

Abstract: An oil filter assembly (10) has a receiving chamber (18) that can be closed by a cover element (14) and a spring-loaded supporting tube (22) that is fixed in the receiving chamber and is designed to receive a filter element (20) that can be radially traversed by oil. The supporting tube (22) is axially displaceable between an operating position and a drain position in such a way that, in the operating position when the receiving chamber is closed by the cover element (14), the tube closes a drain opening (42). When the receiving chamber is open in the drain position, the tube releases the drain opening. The supporting tube is mounted to rotate through a rotational angle that is limited by two rotational stops (41, 43) in the housing and the cover element has follower sections (66, 68, 70) that co-operate with the supporting tube and/or filter element to rotate the supporting tube through the rotational angle when the cover element is screwed on and/or unscrewed.
