Abstract: A drainless reverse osmosis (RO) water purification system provides relatively pure water for on-demand dispensing, while recycling brine to a domestic hot water system. The drainless purification system includes a pre-filter catalyst cartridge for removing chlorine-based contaminants from a tap water supply upstream from an RO membrane. The catalyst is regularly refreshed by a high through-flow of water to a conventional cold water dispense faucet, thereby significantly prolonging the service life of the RO membrane. The RO membrane is incorporated into a multi-cartridge unit adapted for facilitated slide-out removal and replacement as needed. A control valve recycles brine from the RO membrane to the hot water system during pure water production, and recirculates tap water through the RO membrane when a pure water reservoir is substantially filled. The multi-cartridge unit may further include an air filtration system for providing a flow of filtered air.

Abstract: The pore size controllable filter can separate and remove effectively the suspended solid and eliminate rapidly it captured by the device. The filtering materials (21) are built on the upper filtering material holder (23) and the lower filtering material holder (24) of radial type facing each other at a certain distance in the filtering tub (2), forming a filtering layer (21a). According to the direction and the degree of rotation of the upper handle (28) connected to the upper rotation axis, the filtering materials (21) come together to the center along the upper filtering material holder (23) and the lower filtering material holder (24). Then one side or both sides are twisted in opposite directions and concentrated around the perforated pipe (22) located at the central axis or restored to the original state. Accordingly, the size of the pore created between the filtering materials (21) can be adjusted, enabling to conduct filtering and washing operations at a proper level.

  • Patent number: 7060178
Abstract: A filter-testing fixture holds a single fuel filter and is adjustable to accommodate a range of filter sizes and shapes. The fixture has a base section that defines a water collection reservoir, and the base opens upward toward a housing. Water separated from fuel in the housing thus drains into the reservoir. A fuel inlet conduit passes through the reservoir, one end of the conduit being disposed above the base section. The first, or filter-supporting, adapter is removably attached to this end of the conduit, and both the first adapter and this end are disposed within, the housing. The housing removably and sealingly mates to the base, and a cap assembly likewise removably and sealingly mates to the housing. A second, repositionable, filter-holding adapter is connected to the inner surface of the cap.
