  • Patent number: 10843110
Abstract: A filter of a filter device has a filter housing with a connecting side provided with a connecting element for detachably connecting the filter to a filter head of the filter device by a rotational and/or insertion movement relative to an imaginary connecting axis of filter and filter head. The filter housing has an inlet for fluid to be purified and an outlet for purified fluid. An outer seal seals a connection of the filter with the filter head relative to the environment. The outer seal is circumferentially continuous relative to the connecting axis. A closure element is provided to close off, when the filter is connected to the filter head, a fluid drain in the filter head provided for draining fluid when removing the filter from the filter head. The outer seal is acting sealingly at least in radial direction relative to the connecting axis.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a modular distillation system incorporating a removable capsule for containing source material for extraction. Through the action of the invention, the steam distillation process described herein produces a substantially larger amount of volatile oil than a distillation system that does not use an enclosed, modular system. The present invention provides for an apparatus that allows for greater contact between the steam and plant matter during the distillation process through the use of a closed removable capsule containing relatively small amount of plant matter. Additionally, the present invention is directed to a system that allows the generation of higher quality distillate and considerably higher quantity of volatile oil extracts by forcing the steam to evenly disperse through a removable capsule, and by preventing the condensed liquid to return back to the boiling water within the vessel.

Debris in the airstream is pushed outward—away from the filter—by centripetal force. Eddies form proximate the base. Debris escapes the airstream there, where it either remains or, depending upon the chamber's orientation relative to gravity, falls back into the airflow where it is again directed away from the filter.

Abstract: An improved cleaning apparatus and method is provided for cartridge filters in a fluid bed processor. A cleaning solution duct is coupled to the air pulse tube so as to supply a mixture of pressurized air and cleaning liquid to the inside of the filter cartridge. The pressure forces the cleaning solution and air outwardly through the filter cloth to remove particles from the interstitial pores of the cloth. The cleaning liquid also flushes the interior and the exterior surface of the cloth. The lower end of the filter includes a cap which is normally closed, and which can be opened to allow drainage of cleaning liquid from the interior of the cartridge filter.

  • Patent number: 7416665
Abstract: The pore size controllable filter can separate and remove effectively the suspended solid and eliminate rapidly it captured by the device. The filtering materials (21) are built on the upper filtering material holder (23) and the lower filtering material holder (24) of radial type facing each other at a certain distance in the filtering tub (2), forming a filtering layer (21a). According to the direction and the degree of rotation of the upper handle (28) connected to the upper rotation axis, the filtering materials (21) come together to the center along the upper filtering material holder (23) and the lower filtering material holder (24). Then one side or both sides are twisted in opposite directions and concentrated around the perforated pipe (22) located at the central axis or restored to the original state. Accordingly, the size of the pore created between the filtering materials (21) can be adjusted, enabling to conduct filtering and washing operations at a proper level.

  • Patent number: 7374676
Abstract: A high rate, upflow filtration system is described in which a compressible, fibrous lump filtration media is compressed to adjust the porosity and collector size of the media in the bed and to provide a porosity gradient within the bed proceeding from more porous to less porous in a direction opposite to the flow of fluid so that filtration proceeds in a direction from a more porous to a less porous filter bed. Larger particles are removed by the more porous media and successively smaller particles are removed as the filter bed becomes less porous. The system is capable of reducing the turbidity of influent municipal wastewater from about 8 NTU to about 2 NTU at a wastewater flow rate of from about 820 to 1230 L/m2·min (20 to 30 gal/ft2·min), at a bed compression ration of from about 15 to 40 percent, and at a backwash rate of from about 1 to 6 percent based on the total wastewater passing through the filter.
