The filtering belt (31) is located adjacent to a transmission belt (51) and is pressed against the same by a clamping rail (58) within the rising section (38) of the filtering belt. The device is provided with a control device (4) adapting the filtering belt movement with the waste water supply, thus keeping the waste water surface below a certain level to provide a high degree of dewatering within the upwards rising section of the filtering belt (31).

  • Patent number: 6612445
Abstract: An arrangement for removing chips from a machining coolant prior to filtering out the finer solids in a main filter. A coarse weave belt is frictionally driven along a strainer bottom wall of an auxiliary tank suspended above the main filter tank, the permanent media belt of a coarse weave which allows the liquid and suspended finer solids to pass through while capturing the chips. A powered drag conveyor frictionally engages and drives the permanent media belt through the auxiliary tank, each diverging when returning across the top and bottom respectively of the auxiliary tank prior to being recirculated through the auxiliary tank.

Abstract: A fine filter screen assembly comprising a length of filter screen having a relatively fine filtering surface and terminating at opposite ends with opposed end shafts. Generally open connecting means interconnect the opposed end shafts to define a continuous loop structure. At least one removable filter grid having a substantially fine filtering surface is removably mounted between the opposed end shafts such that the continuous loop structure has a substantially continuous relatively fine filtering surface. Removal of the grid allows internal access to the screen assembly.

  • Patent number: 6514381
Abstract: Methods and corresponding devices are set forth for the continuous mechanical dewatering of aqueous suspensions or elutriations, particularly of waste-paper suspensions or slurries, between an endless mesh band and an endless compression surface having a closed, smooth surface and running in the direction of operation. The suspension cake to be dewatered is compressed between the mesh band and the compression surface. The requisite pressure is achieved by wrapping the mesh band around the cylindrical compression surface under longitudinal tension, whereby the expelled water is removed from the suspension cake by means of the mesh band. Devices are provided which both increase the operational duration of the dewatering pressure of the existing mesh band on the suspension cake, and at the same time increase the pressure substantially, without obstructing the runoff of the pressed-out water. The method of the invention increases the compression pressure from about 1 bar (heretofore) to a pressure of, e.g.
