Imperforate Central Liquid Tube Patents (Class 210/438)
  • Patent number: 10052575
Abstract: A filter element has a first end cap and a ring of filter media. The first end cap includes structures projecting from the periphery to form a keyed connection with a filter bowl and filter head. Some of the projections are fixed lugs, while other projections are latch fingers arranged to move in an axial direction during mounting and dismounting of the filter assembly components. The filter element first end cap is configured to mate with the upper end of a filter bowl to form an element/bowl assembly. The mated structures of the element and bowl form the male part of a bayonet connection. The filter head defines a corresponding female bayonet connector part. The latch fingers retain the element to the bowl and the assembled element and bowl to the filter head.

Abstract: Disclosed is an integrated paper wherein the paper has capabilities and functionalities provided by both the fiber and the active agent ingredients, and a method of immobilizing the active agents within the integrated paper. The tight pore structure of the integrated paper of the present invention, a mean pore diameter of less than about 2 microns, provides short diffusion distances from a fluid to the surface of the paper ingredients by adsorption or diffusive interception making it an excellent medium for fluid filtration. The integrated paper of the present invention can further include a microbiological interception enhancing agent. The integrated paper can be formed using, preferably, wet laid paper-making processes for speed and efficiency. Also disclosed are devices utilizing the integrated paper useful in fluid filtration.

  • Patent number: 7572306
Abstract: A filter system includes a filter configured to regulate fuel pressure as well as automatically vent air from the filter. A pressure regulator valve is positioned in the top of a standpipe of the filter. The filter includes a filter cartridge with top and bottom end caps. The top end cap of the filter cartridge has a hole with radial sealing gasket, which seals against the top of the standpipe to prohibit flow from bypassing the filter cartridge. This arrangement exposes the regulator valve to the fuel and/or air at the top of the filter housing. Pressure in the housing opens the valve, allowing air and/or fuel to be vented through the standpipe, and back to the fuel tank.
