  • Patent number: 9504968
Abstract: The present invention provides a foamed-water generating aerator which is capable of generating good-quality foamed water containing fine, homogeneously distributed air bubbles. The foamed-water generating aerator (100) is fitted to a water discharge pipe to turn water being discharged into foamed water. A circumferential water flow curtain forming portion (110) includes a gap (111), through which water flows, and forms a three-dimensional circulating water flow curtain (112) in which an accelerated water-flow issuing downstream from the gap (111) is continuous in the circumferential direction. An air cavity (120) is provided at some intermediate point in a water-flow path as a place for forming the circulating water flow curtain (112) and sustains an air-filled condition even when a water-flow of the circulating water flow curtain enters therein.

  • Patent number: 9303397
Abstract: A beaver control device for use with a culvert pipe features a tubular frame having opposing longitudinal ends which are open and a plurality of openings spaced angularly about the frame. The openings provide alternative paths, in addition to the open ends of the frame, for water to pass through the device in an event that one of the open ends become obstructed. The device also features a plurality of transverse bars spanning across transversely opposing portions of an inner surface of the frame. The transverse bars are spaced along a longitudinal length of the frame and elevated relative to a bottommost edge of the frame which rests on the ground. The transverse bars are closer to the bottommost edge than to a topmost edge of the frame which is vertically opposite same. Elevating and spacing the transverse bars as described deters the beaver from passing through the device.

Abstract: A filter sleeve is fabricated from a variety of media selected to preferentially remove particulates and specific contaminants from water or other liquids. The layers of the filter sleeve may be configured to remove 1-micron particulates, while another layer or layers may be configured to remove a range of petroleum hydrocarbons, fats, oils, and greases, while yet another layer may be configured to remove metals, and yet another layer could be configured to remove bacteria, algae, mold, and fungus. Filter sleeves that are configured to remove different particulate sizes and contaminants can be used simultaneously by placing the filter sleeves inside one another to accrue the capabilities of several individual filter sleeves as one unit. The filter sleeve can be used to remove particulates and hydrocarbons from waste water accumulated in underground vaults, enabling such waste water to be discharged directly into the ambient environment.
