Abstract: A hitch pin assembly for horizontal adjustment of shelves in a display stand is provided. Conventional coupling in the vertical axial direction is transferred to a coupling system in the horizontal axial direction. A shelf receives end pins with split arrow horizontally and externally extended for fitting in female receptacle on the inner surface of the side walls or columns of the display stand. To mount the display stand, the side walls or columns are pressed inwards horizontally, so that, the edge exceeds the end of the pin which deforms and returns, causing the initial coupling on one side of the structure to lock. The same procedure is performed on the opposite structure. The final assembly of the shelves is made with actions that do not interfere with the coupling of both sides of the structure and without requiring any lateral adjustments that might cause looseness.

Abstract: A protective covering system for wire shelving, designed for ease of attachment to any wire shelving system. The protective covering system comprises a substantially rigid base which exhibits through areas for attachment of fastening devices between the upper surface of the substantially rigid base and the upper portion of the individual wire shelving member to be engaged. The gripping of the individual wire shelving member on at least each of four areas, in conjunction with the positioning of the upper head portion of the individual fastening members restrains the substantially rigid base from movement by limiting the three translational displacement components of degree of freedom.

Abstract: Elongated metal risers are oriented perpendicular to the front end of a shelf, and extend from proximate the front edge of the shelf to at least the rear edge of the shelf. The risers are roughly from one and a half inches to four and a half inches (forty to one hundred fifteen millimeters) in height, and three to six inches (seventy five to one hundred fifty millimeters) in width. A package stored on the shelf is advantageously supported by left and right side risers and a center riser disposed beneath therebetween, thereby forming left and right insertion channels adjacent the center riser. In storing and retrieving objects from the shelf, a forklift machine advances with its left and right forks aligned with the left and right insertion channels, until the forks are securely under the object.
