  • Patent number: 5957585
Abstract: A combination trolley and bag to receive and hold leaves and debris cleaned from a rain gutter (eavestrough). The trolley includes a pair of rolling sheaves that ride on the outside edge of the gutter to transport leaves and debris from the initial point to the next section to be cleaned or until the bag is full. Safety flaps attached to the same shaft as sheaves work as a stopper to keep the device in place in case the sheaves slide off the gutter edge. The safety flaps spin freely to by pass any obstacle in the gutter such as brackets, holding nails, or fastening devices which secure the gutter to the roof. Two support arms, which hold and secure the bag, hinge to an up position for flat and easy storage. When lifting one of the support arms and holding handle at the bottom of the bag, emptying becomes easy. Bag size is determinate by weight of leaves and debris, so when full, can be easily lifted off the gutter edge, brought down and emptied.

  • Patent number: 5927518
Abstract: A system designed the efficient separation, storage, loading, unloading and transportation of recyclable materials such as paper, glass, tin cans, plastic containers, aluminum containers, etc. The major component of the system is a container that is generally box-shaped to allow the containers to be closely stacked in rows. Each container has a slot in the top edge to provide for support of the container on a collection rail bar and support frame system which allows the containers to be efficiently grouped together and thereby provide storage for all classes of materials recycled at a single geographical location. The collection rail system of the invention can be economically adapted to many different types of stationary or motorized transport systems, enabling them to become recyclable material collections systems.

  • Patent number: 5924577
Abstract: The present invention embodies a novel modular rack and storage system for receiving and supporting planar articles such as stencils, frames, or the like. The rack includes at least one pair of opposed channels, with an upper channel of the pair being located vertically above a lower channel. Each channel has a retaining area facing the opposed channel, thereby forming a slot for receiving the edges of a planar article. The channels are mounted on a spaced pair of rectangular frames, with each frame having an elongate upper horizontal member and an elongate lower horizontal member. The upper and lower horizontal members are each supported on a first end by a first elongate vertical support and on a second end by a second elongate vertical support. The upper channels are mounted to the upper horizontal members and the lower channels are mounted to the lower horizontal members so that the channels hold the spaced frames in an upright position.

  • Patent number: 5854849
Abstract: A mobile filing system has an active and passive operator safety system that protects persons and objects in the aisles. The safety system comprises video cameras that view the aisles and the adjacent filed media. A series of images from the video cameras are captured at each of several selected aisle configurations when the aisles are supervised to assure that no persons or objects are in them. The images are stored in a computer. During operation of the mobile filing system, when the aisles are unsupervised, images of the filed media and the aisles are captured when a closing mobile carriage is at each of the selected aisle configurations. The corresponding images captured when the aisle was supervised and unsupervised at the respective aisle configurations are compared. If the compared images differ by more than a predetermined amount, the mobile carriage is prevented from rolling to further close the aisle.
