Patent number: 7000877Abstract: Brackets for a clotheshorse are used in pairs. Each bracket has multiple collars that align respectively with multiple collars defined in the other opposite bracket. A vertical socket is formed at a bottom of the bracket in which a telescoping rod of the clotheshorse is mounted. Multiple slots are vertically defined in the bracket and extend inward to respectively communicate with the multiple collars to hold longitudinal members of a rack inside the multiple collars through the slots. Thereby, a bracket assembly mounted on the clotheshorse enables versatile accessories to be mounted on the clotheshorse.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 2003Date of Patent: February 21, 2006Assignee: Chi Yu Steel Co., Ltd.Inventor: Chi-Chung Wang

Patent number: 6860456Abstract: A girder and a suspension device is adapted for a releasable connection thereto in order to suspend objects from the girder. The girder may be supported between two vertical rails, each having at least one slot. The girder includes a section having a web portion located in the operative state of the girder in a substantially vertical plane, and at least one flange portion angled substantially 90° thereto. The length of the flange portion substantially corresponds to the distance between the rails. The girder has an engagement element for engagement in a slot in a respective one of the rails. The web portion as well as the flange portion are provided with holes located in a common plane, perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the girder. The suspension device includes an engagement portion dimensioned for introduction into both holes, at least a portion of the engagement portion being directed so that it tends to incline relative to the axis of the hole upon loading of the suspension device.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2001Date of Patent: March 1, 2005Assignee: Elfa International AGInventor: Reine Magnusson

Patent number: 6796446Abstract: A method and apparatus for adjusting the relative position between a pair of elongate, tubular shafts using an adjustment mechanism having a wedge element operably moveable along a ramp by shifting of an actuator member. The adjustment mechanism is configured to reduce binding thereof by supporting the actuator member in more than one location to maintain desirable contact between the wedge element and the ramp and the inner wall of the one of the pair of shafts, providing for an increased range of movement of the wedge element along the ramp to prevent undesirable frictional engagement between the actuator member and the ramp, and by providing a stop to substantially maintain the wedge element from unintentionally withdrawing into the inner shaft and wedged therein.Type: GrantFiled: January 8, 2003Date of Patent: September 28, 2004Assignee: La-La Imports LPInventors: Paul M.
