Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a clothes rack for hanging clothes, coat and the like and, more particularly, to a clothes rack available for a dustproof jacket.

2. Description of the Related Art

A conventional clothes rack 20 available for a dustproof jacket in accordance with the prior art shown in FIG. 6 comprises two retractable uprights 21 supported by a hanging tube 22 and a stand 23, and a top frame 24 mounted between the two retractable uprights 21. The top frame 24 has two lengthwise tubes 25, two crosswise tubes 26 and an intermediate tube 27. Thus, a dustproof jacket (not shown) can be mounted on the top frame 24 so as to encompass the whole clothes rack 20. However, the top frame 24 is secured to the two retractable uprights 21 by soldering, thereby complicating assembly of the clothes rack 20, and thereby increasing costs of assembly of the clothes rack 20. In addition, the top frame 24 is directly secured to the two retractable uprights 21, so that the clothes rack 20 has a larger volume, thereby causing inconvenience in packaging, storage and transportation of the clothes rack 20.

Another conventional clothes rack 30 available for a dustproof jacket in accordance with the prior art shown in FIG. 7 comprises a hanging tube 31, two spaced connectors 32 each mounted on the hanging tube 31 and each provided with two mounting studs 320, two retractable uprights 33 each having an upper portion connected to the respective connector 32 and a lower portion connected to a stand 34, and a top frame 35 detachably mounted between the two connectors 32. The top frame 35 includes two lengthwise rods 36 having two opposite ends, and two crosswise rods 37 each having a first end connected to the respective end of the respective lengthwise rod 36 by a connector 38 and a bent second end inserted into the respective mounting stud 320 of the respective connector 32. However, the top frame 35 has multiple parts, so that the top frame 35 cannot be assembled easily and quickly, thereby causing inconvenience in assembly of the top frame 35 and the clothes rack 30. In addition, the top frame 35 has a complicated construction, thereby greatly increasing costs of fabrication of the clothes rack 30.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a clothes rack, comprising a hanging tube, two spaced connectors each mounted on the hanging tube, two substantially T-shaped support seats each mounted on the respective connector, and a top frame detachably mounted between the two support seats.

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a clothes rack, wherein each of the side rails of the top frame is pressed directly into the slot of the respective support seat, so that the top frame is mounted onto the support seats easily and quickly, thereby facilitating the user mounting the top frame.

Another objective of the present invention is to provide a clothes rack, wherein the mounting portion of each of the support seats is located between any two adjacent intermediate lengthwise strips of the top frame, so that the top frame is located between the two support seats to prevent the top frame from being displaced transversely relative to the support seats.

A further objective of the present invention is to provide a clothes rack, wherein the top frame is integrally formed with the lengthwise strips and the crosswise strips by soldering, so that the top frame is made easily and quickly, thereby enhancing the working efficiency, and thereby decreasing costs of fabrication.

A further objective of the present invention is to provide a clothes rack, wherein the top frame is supported by the lengthwise strips and the crosswise strips, so that the top frame has a greater strength to withstand a larger load.

Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1 and 2, a clothes rack 10 in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a hanging tube 11, two spaced connectors 12 each mounted on the hanging tube 11, two retractable uprights 13 each having an upper portion connected to the respective connector 12 and a lower portion connected to a stand 14, two substantially T-shaped support seats 122 each mounted on the respective connector 12, and a top frame 15 detachably mounted between the two support seats 122.

The hanging tube 11 has two ends each provided with a secondary tube 16.

Each of the two connectors 12 is substantially T-shaped and has a sleeve 120 mounted on the hanging tube 11, and each of the two support seats 122 is mounted on the sleeve 120 of the respective connector 12.

Each of the two retractable uprights 13 includes an outer tube 131 having a lower end mounted on the stand 14, an inner tube 132 retractably mounted in the outer tube 131 and having an upper end connected to the respective connector 12, and a clamping member 130 mounted between the outer tube 131 and the inner tube 132 to clamp the inner tube 132 onto the outer tube 131.

Referring to FIGS. 1-5, each of the support seats 122 is perpendicular to the respective connector 12 and protruded upwardly from a top of the respective connector 12. Each of the support seats 122 has a top formed with a substantially U-shaped mounting portion 122a having an inside formed with a substantially rectangular slot 122b which is extended longitudinally through a whole length of the mounting portion 122a of each of the support seats 122. The slot 122b of each of the support seats 122 has a side wall formed with an inwardly extending snapping portion 122c.

The top frame 15 has a net-shaped inside provided with a plurality of lengthwise strips 150 and a plurality of crosswise strips 152 intersecting with and perpendicular to the lengthwise strips 150. The top frame 15 has two side rails 151 each inserted into the slot 122b of the respective support seat 122. Each of the side rails 151 of the top frame 15 is detachably locked in the slot 122b of the respective support seat 122 and retained by the snapping portion 122c of the respective support seat 122.

Each of the side rails 151 of the top frame 15 has a rectangular shape corresponding to that of the slot 122b of the respective support seat 122 and has a height substantially equal to a distance between the snapping portion 122c and a bottom wall of the slot 122b of the respective support seat 122 as shown in FIG. 5, so that each of the side rails 151 of the top frame 15 is retained by the snapping portion 122c of the respective support seat 122.

In addition, the mounting portion 122a of each of the support seats 122 has a length substantially equal to a distance between any two adjacent intermediate lengthwise strips 150 of the top frame 15 as shown in FIG. 4, so that the mounting portion 122a of each of the support seats 122 is located between any two adjacent intermediate lengthwise strips 150 of the top frame 15, and the top frame 15 is located between the two support seats 122 to prevent the top frame 15 from being displaced transversely relative to the support seats 122.

Accordingly, each of the side rails 151 of the top frame 15 is pressed directly into the slot 122b of the respective support seat 122, so that the top frame 15 is mounted onto the support seats 122 easily and quickly, thereby facilitating the user mounting the top frame 15. In addition, the mounting portion 122a of each of the support seats 122 is located between any two adjacent intermediate lengthwise strips 150 of the top frame 15, so that the top frame 15 is located between the two support seats 122 to prevent the top frame 15 from being displaced transversely relative to the support seats 122. Further, the top frame 15 is integrally formed with the lengthwise strips 150 and the crosswise strips 152 by soldering, so that the top frame 15 is made easily and quickly, thereby enhancing the working efficiency, and thereby decreasing costs of fabrication. Further, the top frame 15 is supported by the lengthwise strips 150 and the crosswise strips 152, so that the top frame 15 has a greater strength to withstand a larger load.

Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
