  • Patent number: 4592472
Abstract: A clothesline assembly including an elongate chain, a pair of mounting strip members, and a pair of bracket members. The mounting strip members are preferably permanently secured to upstanding support structures such as walls. The amount of space between the mounting strip members substantially determines the length of chain that can be operably deployed therebetween. The mounting strip members are adapted to releasably receive the proximal ends of the respective bracket members. The respective distal ends of the bracket members are adapted to releasably engage links at opposite ends of the chain. Accordingly, the specific positions chosen for the placement of the bracket members on the mounting strip members substantially determines the height of the chain extending therebetween. Clothes to be dried are placed on conventional clothes hangers and the hangers are suspended from different links of the chain.

  • Patent number: 4585130
Abstract: To form a U-channel storage system, a pair of U-shaped metal channels are disposed and secured a selected parallel distance apart, having paired equal lengths. The paired channels secured with their channel bases turned outwardly opposed, are secured to a flat wall surface, a conventional hand operated upright dolly, a tradesman's utility truck, or the like support means. Multiple open slots are formed in the opposed juxtal channel leg positions in the channel bases, spaced a selected distance apart. Multiple paired supporting stops are secured inside and across the U-shaped channels another selected uniform distance below each slot, providing a paired holding and supporting stop for a rod member of the required length inserted in each juxtal opposed pair of slots. Reels of wire, rolls of electrical conduit, tool boxes, wire caddies having suitable selected length of caddy feet, and other tool and instrumentation devices can be arranged on and held by rod members on the pair of securing U-channels.

  • Patent number: 4509652
Abstract: A rack assembly having rotationally mounted support members is disclosed herein. Each of the three embodiments of those members allows the next lower support member to be rotated into a vertical attitude to permit the insertion into the rack of an item which is greater in height than the spacing between adjacent support members.Various means are included in each support member design for interacting with the tip of the flange of the next lower support member to selectively maintain it in vertical attitude. The interacting means discussed include an outwardly projecting medial portion on the underside of the flange, a shoulder in the normally vertical portion of the support means which interconnects the flange with the means for affixing the support member to the rack, and, where it is desirable to be able to support a string of support members in the vertical attitude, the medial portion discussed above is included with a tail piece which extends outward from the support member in opposition to the flange.
