Abstract: A dish rack for dishwashers, with side walls and a grid-shaped rack base together surrounding a rack interior space of the dish rack, and the rack base and/or the side walls having standing surfaces that end in a standing plane of the dish rack. In at least one of the side walls at least one washing liquid deflecting surface is formed for deflecting a washing liquid jet, which penetrates the standing plane, into the rack interior space. The washing liquid deflecting surface extends between inner and outer wall portions of the side wall. In some arrangements, the wall support is movable back to the initial supporting position from the collapsed position but is not movable beyond the initial supporting position. Abstract: A tine block assembly for a dishwashing appliance is provided that can be repositioned within and/or removed from a rack assembly. A user can, for example, reverse the direction of the tine assembly based upon the location of a dishwasher in the kitchen. The tines can also be completely removed from the rack assembly to accommodate a large article. The wheel plate assembly is adjustably secured with respect to the rack plate. The wheel plate assembly includes a wheel plate having at least one adjustment slot. A portion of the handle securely engages the wheel plate through the at least one adjustment slot. The portion of the handle is configured to disengage from the at least one adjustment slot in order to adjust the rack plate with respect to the wheel plate.

Abstract: A substantially rectangular dish rack having a substantially single side walled body portion that slidably engages two identical base portions, which interchangeably function as either the top or bottom of the dish rack. The top and bottom portions are preferably both inserted into the body portion from the same side of the body portion. Any of the four sides of the top and bottom portions may be inserted first into the body portion, and when inserted into the body portion, the base portions are held in place by friction catches or latches. The friction latches preferably include a boss portion and a notch portion to receive the boss portion.
