The recipe holder is adjustable in length to conform to the user's eye level and collapses for ease of storage. The holder has a spring clip at its lower end for holding sheets of paper or cards.

Abstract: A clamp for clamping sheets and like material has opposed elongate clamping jaws mounted for pivotal movement between a clamping condition and a relatively open, released, condition, and a latch device for effecting movement of the jaws. The latch device comprises a member of channel section within which an upper part of the jaws is mounted whereby opposite sides of the member co-operate with the two jaws, and latch levers pivotal between a stable latched position and a released position. The latch levers are linked to the jaws by a screw mechanism and co-operate with the member of channel section such that movement of the latch levers to their released position effects relative movement between the jaws and said member to enable opening of the jaws. Adjustment of the clamped and open conditions of the jaws is effected by rotation of the latch levers about the axis of the screw mechanism.

The latch device comprises a member (12) of channel section within which an upper part of the jaws (2, 4) is mounted whereby opposite sides of the member (12) cooperate with the two jaws (2, 4), and latch levers (26) pivotal between a stable latched position and a released position. Abstract: A storage structure includes generally rectangular panels arranged in at least one group of panels that are vertically oriented and each hinged about a respective hinge pin to a common connecting structure to pivot between two limit orientations. Each end panel has, on its bottom horizontal edge, a support wheel, which rolls on the floor to support the panel cantilever-fashion. Each panel can carry objects, such as works of art, that can be observed from a sufficient distance in a storeroom. Both faces of each panel are accessible and can be used to fix objects, which maximizes the available storage area.

Abstract: A display rack for displaying a plurality of rugs includes a plurality of generally upright elongate support posts connected side by side by a support frame with each post having mounted thereon for sliding movement therealong a respective one of a plurality of rug support assemblies. Each support post has a cable and winch inside the respective post for driving sliding movement of the respective rug support assembly between a lowered loading position and a raised display position with a motor mounted permanently on the post or on the mounting assembly and a manually operable switch for operating the motor. Each rug support assembly includes a front plate member in front of the post and a plurality of pivotal arms side by side across the plate member. A divider post is provided between each support post and the next upright at a position in front of the support posts so as to engage rug support arms to prevent side to side movement of the arms sufficient to cause interference therebetween.

In order to achieve this aim with simple means, it is proposed to provide at least one of two retaining webs (5, 6) with end stops formed by punched tongues (24, 25), which retaining webs (5, 6) are provided with holes (18) for accommodating the pivot pins of a multiplicity of information carriers (2), are designed as sheet-metal punched parts and are connected to one another via a back part (4).

Abstract: Disclosed is the apparatus and method for hanging and storing documents. The invention utilizes a substantially planar base, a hanging brace, a substantially planar hub longitudinally extending from the base and an arm having a first end adapted to slidably accept the inner circumferential edge of the hub. A document pocket is adapted to accept the arm such that the document pocket is suspended by the arm. The document pocket is sufficiently translucent to allow viewing of a document when positioned in the document pocket.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for displaying and dispensing rolls of material are provided. The apparatus preferably has a carrier including a plurality of carrier units. Each carrier unit preferably includes a substantially rectangular frame pivotally mounted about a vertical axis extending substantially along a corresponding one of the vertical sides of the frame. The respective vertical axes of the carrier units are mounted in spaced relation to adjacent vertical axes along the carrier. The plurality of carrier units preferably are pivotably movable from a normal inward closed position wherein only a portion of each but one of the endmost carrier units is exposed to an outward open position wherein each carrier unit is fully exposed. A plurality of opposing vertical rows of cooperating roll supports positioned along opposing vertical sides of the frame of each carrier unit and adapted to support a plurality of correspondingly spaced horizontally disposed rolls of material.

Abstract: A rack for hanging room sized carpets in show rooms. The rack has a plurality of uprights, each of which has a horizontal arm including a brace capable of supporting a hanging carpet. The arm is adapted to be raised and lowered by a cable entrained on pulleys and moved by a worm drive type winch operated by a portable drive means such as an electric drill. The cable and winch are mounted in the channel of each upright.

A drapery fabric sample having unpleated top, bottom, and sides edges is mounted in association with a cantilever arm. The arm is preferably a rectangular configuration plastic arm having a hinge pin at least one end, and a tab surface and side surfaces for receiving the top edge of a drape sample. The arm also preferably includes first and second sections which are mounted for pivotal movement with respect to each other by a vertical hinge. The drape sample, after engaging the tab and side surfaces is wrapped around the arm at least once, and the arm is mounted by a channel which receives the pivot pin(s) so that it extends generally horizontally.

The suspension members can be pivoted outwardly from the housing and used like a clamp to secure the item being suspended.

Abstract: The present invention provides a hanging file system for releasably suspending a plurality of relatively large flat pages of blueprints or the like in a hanging relationship to one another including a generally rectangular rack portion having a plurality of pins extending from the lower portion of a rear member of the rack. A binder has an aperture formed in one end for operatively engaging one of the pins and a hanger forming having a slotted channel for operatively receiving the front member of the rack therein for hangably supporting the binder and the plurality of pages contained therein from the rack. The outer front end portion of the binder contains a flared opening for guiding the pages into the channel and between the lower gripping jaws which are resiliently biased by the plastic material itself toward one another for clampably retaining the pages with the hollow channel of the binder.

In one form of nesting, a central member is bridged by adjoining legs which are in turn joined by the bridge.

Abstract: A support structure is disclosed for vertical filing systems to suspend binders horizontally by supporting one end of the binder on an end support fixedly located on the support structure while supporting the binder from another position on the binder remote from the first end by an elongate suspension means coupled at one end to the support structure and extending therefrom to the binder. The support structure provides for easier manual engagement of binders to the support structure and easier disengagement therefrom as compared to prior art support structures.

Abstract: A mobile display system for carpet samples and the like which includes a vehicle having an interior space defining a mobile showroom for the carpet samples and the like, a framework having at least one elongated support member, secured to the vehicle within the interior space, and a plurality of racks pivotally mounted in a row on the at least one elongated support member and adapted to hold samples of carpet and the like on both sides thereof. The racks are preferably so closely spaced as to tend to randomly engage one another. The carpet samples and the like cushion the engagement to reduce damage to the racks and noise during vehicle movement without damaging the carpet samples and the like. The structure allows very large numbers of samples to be transported and attractively displayed.

The sheets are held from above from any convenient rail, by being inserted, singly or multiply in a clamp that may be comparable in length with the sheet the pressure of the clamp being adjusted gradually by means of wing nuts on self locking bolts and being biased by leaf springs.

Abstract: A two piece binder is disclosed having substantially symmetrical clamping members hinged together along first edges thereof so as to be rotated to grasp sheet material between second edges thereof by the rotation of wing nuts mounted on one side of the two piece binder and operably coupled to the two clamping members. The two piece binder disclosed advantageously provides a symmetric two piece binder with a side mounted tensioning wing nut.

Abstract: A magazine display rack disclosed is comprised of a plurality of cages in a trough-like housing that may be secured on a display panel or wall. Each cage, which has a sheet or sheets in front to screen all of the magazine cover except its title and issue date, may be pivoted outwardly on the front edge of the trough-like housing to insert or remove a magazine through the open bottom of the cage. All magazine cages are ganged together by a heavy wire or rod so that in pivoting the cages to remove a magazine, all magazines must be held up in their cages. Any magazine not held up in its cage will slide along the bottom of the trough-like housing, until it engages the rear corner thereof. This helps prevent unauthorized removal of a magazine from its cage.

Abstract: This necktie rack has one or more arms with hangers for individual ties extending from opposite sides of each arm. Each of the arms swings forward and upward about a pivot to bring the hangers into position for convenient removal and replacement of ties; and each arm extends forward toward its lower end, when at rest, to leave space under each hanger for the necktie of that hanger to extend downward without interference with or from other ties. Features of the mechanical construction make the rack economical to manufacture and attractive in appearance.
