  • Patent number: 4915460
Abstract: A security system for a knock-down dispensing rack on which cigarette cartons are stacked, includes a shield across the rack opening associated with each shelf and having a lower edge spaced above the shelf the cross-sectional height of a carton of cigarettes to inhibit shoplifting by allowing only one carton at a time to be removed from a stack. The shield is pivoted to the rack to permit restocking. An optional lockup system includes a lower shield pivotally mounted to each upper shield so that it may be positioned to cover the access space under the upper shield. A pair of vertically oriented locking bars are provided. The bars lockably cover ends of the shields with the lower shields in either the position for dispensing of individual cartons, or pivoted downwardly to cover the access opening to provide a night lockup mode. A locking bracket is mounted to preclude disassembly of the security system while in a night lockup mode.

  • Patent number: 4540092
Abstract: A rack for securely displaying clothes while permitting the clothing to be tried on by a consumer is disclosed which includes a support stand and a hanger support bar mounted on the stand. The hanger support bar is hollow and has an elongated slot formed therein with a plurality of apertures along its length joined with the slot. Individual elongated flexible guard members having enlarged head portions at one end fit in any one of the apertures while preventing withdrawal through the slot. The guard members pass through a portion of a garment passed on a conventional hanger. Removal of the guards from the hanger support bar is prevented by a blocking device which can be moved between first and second positions to block the apertures. The end of the guard members which pass through the clothing are secured to a blocking device on the base of the display stand for preventing removal of a garment therefrom.

  • Patent number: 4461385
Abstract: This invention discloses a high security, inexpensive and versatile manner of locking firearms by means of a cloth covered, hardened chain passing through the trigger guards or telescopic sight mounts, or by looping around the narrow pistol grip area of each gun. The hardened chain is then locked together in the center of the rack with a hardened padlock. The opposite ends of the chain are anchored by means of heavy lag bolts which reach the depth of the wall studs as the design of the locking racks provides for the anchoring members to be centered over the wall studs of the house. A unique covered chain slot design is disclosed which allows the chain to enter the anchor rails of the rack while still providing maximum protection from access to the head of the anchoring bolts. The rack designs disclosed allow for locking a plurality of long guns, a plurality of handguns, and a plurality of long guns and handguns simultaneously.
