Abstract: The embodiments herein provide a device for dispensing pills. The device comprises several dispensing chambers molded into the bottle rim, or fastened inside or outside the bottle. The chamber includes many radial projections defining discrete pill holding areas. The device comprises a dispensing cap secured and rotated uni-directionally or bi-directionally to the chambers, having a base, provided with a window. The cap comprises uneven surfaces on the holding surface to allow the pills in the chambers to oscillate up and down thereby causing a mixing action. The cap is mounted outside the bottle. The device further comprises a rotating central hub formed on an inner side of the base for delimiting an inner boundary of the pill holding areas. The cap is rotated to align the window with the pill holding areas to dispense a pill when the bottle is inverted or angled upside-down.

Abstract: A container includes a bottle, a closure, and a ring. The bottle includes a body, a neck extending away from the body and defining an opening, and a pair of opposed ledges. Threads extend around the neck. The ledges extend radially outwardly from the neck spaced from the body and the threads. Each ledge defines a surface facing away from the body and includes an extension extending from the surface. The closure is secured over around the neck. The closure is positioned on an opposite side of the surface of each ledge as compared to the body and includes internal ramps interfacing with the extensions to maintain the closure in place. The ring is positioned between the body and the ledges. The ring is entirely maintained below the surfaces of the ledges, and each ledge interacts with the ring to maintain the ring in place relative to the bottle.

Abstract: A bottle having a modified neck and intended for use with a child-resistant closure which allows the user to open the bottle without removing the closure completely from the bottle is described. The neck includes at least one locking lug and at least one anti-removal ring. The anti-removal ring is positioned between the lug and the open end of the neck. The neck may further include at least one deformation recess, with the deformation recess being adjacent to and radially offset from the locking lug. The ring and recess are intended to deter the user from bypassing the child-resistant safety features of the bottle and removing the closure completely from the bottle.

Abstract: A modified thread design for use with a bottle and child resistant closure combination is described. The thread varies in thickness from the first end of the thread to the second end, but the thread pitch remains constant as the thread thickness varies. The modified thread design affects the rate at which the closure rises or falls along the bottle neck, and in a preferred embodiment, the thicknesses of the thread and the thread pitch are selected to allow the closure to rise at a rate that allows cap lugs on the closure to clear bottle lugs on the neck with no more than one revolution of the closure, and falls at a rate that allows the safety features to be engaged when the cap lugs pass over the bottle lugs one time.

Abstract: One form of a cap for a container includes an internal part and an external part relatively movable with respect to one another among closed, intermediate and open cap positions. Complementary structures protrude from the internal and external parts for dictating relative positions of the internal and external parts as the parts are initially joined together. Interengaging elements on the internal and external parts secure a selected portion of one of the internal and external parts to the other after joining the parts together. A breakable seal between the selected portion of the one of the internal and external parts and the remainder of the one of the internal and external parts, when broken, allows the internal and external parts to move relative to one another. Variations are also disclosed.

Abstract: A child resistant cap including relatively thin threads which, when the cap is in a relaxed condition, are spaced from the bottle neck, said spacing permitting the cap to be squeezed inward at points on opposite sides of the cap so that the cap responds to the squeezing by expanding outward at points ninety degrees from the squeezing points so that stops on the cap at the cap expanding location will miss the stops normally engaged when in a relaxed condition, thereby permitting the cap to be removed from the bottle. The cap may also include a guide ring in the cap interior to guide the cap over the bottle neck to help ensure that the cap is centered on the bottle opening. The cap may include pressure pads on the cap skirt outside near the cap bottom showing the user where to press and stiffening the portion of the cap where pressure is to be applied. And, the cap may include a tamper indicating ring which will separate from the cap the first time the cap is removed from the bottle.

Abstract: The present invention is a child resistant cap and dispenser. It includes a dispensing container, a flange located non-rotatably connected on the container neck with one-way ratchets, located thereon, said flange being non-rotatably connected to said container neck; a ring collar, non-removably and rotatably connected to the container neck with one-way ratchets located thereon, in functional and cooperative contact with the flange ratchets to permit rotation of it about the neck in one direction and so as to prevent rotation in the opposite direction. The ring collar has an outer circular wall, with one of (i) at least one keyway track and, (ii) at least one keyway protrusion, located thereon, the other being located on a cap, adapted to fit onto the said ring collar. There is a spring mechanism located on at least one of the necks, the collar and the cap, to bias the cap upwardly away from the dispensing container when the cap is connected to the ring collar.

Abstract: A child resistant adult friendly container and closure device is provided with a pivot arm on the container which engages a detent on the closure. The pivot arm carries on one end a press tab and on an opposite end a locking lug. The locking lug engages with the detent to prevent the closure from being rotated in an opening direction. To open the closure, the press tab is manually depressed, causing the pivot arm to pivot about a point on the container such that the locking lug disengages from the detent on the closure. The closure can thus be unscrewed in a opening direction to obtain the contents of the container.

Abstract: A container with a tamper-resistant closure system has a minimum umber of simple parts yet effectively has a tamper-resistant function. A container neck has an annular flange spaced from an upper opening. A locking ring is positioned surrounding the neck below the annular flange and has a hook element that extends upwardly past the annular flange. A cap closes the upper opening of the neck and has an annular lip at an open end, a notch formed in the lip having a width slightly greater than the width of the hook element.
