Abstract: A reusable bottle cap having identification means coupled to a novel bottle cap cover is disclosed and described herein. In a specific embodiment, the bottle cap has a stem having a series of successive U-shaped grooves or ridges. A slight taper in the stem provides that bottles of varying diameters can be accommodated by a single design. Further, the design is made from pliable polyethylene or polyurethane material to form an effective seal to the mouth of bottles of varying diameter. In a preferred embodiment, the novel bottle cap cover is generally bell (or alternatively barrel or conical) shaped and has a crown, a mid-portion, and a mouth portion. The mouth portion further has a lip wherein an inner recessed groove is machined around a circumference thereof. Additionally, the bottle cap comprises a flanged ring portion having a complementary lip to mate with the groove of the bottle cap cover.

Abstract: A closure having a child resistant mode and a non-child resistant mode includes a circumferential side wall and a divider wall for forming a first section cavity and a second section cavity. The divider is disposed between the first section and the second section for closing an opening of the container when the closure is installed on the container in the non-child resistant mode and the child resistant mode. In certain embodiments, a first liner is disposed in the first section such that the first liner is visible when the closure is installed on the container in the child resistant mode and a second liner is disposed in the second section such that the second liner is visible when the closure is installed on the container in the non-child resistant mode.

Threads extend around the neck. The ledges extend radially outwardly from the neck spaced from the body and the threads. Each ledge defines a surface facing away from the body and includes an extension extending from the surface. The closure is secured over around the neck. The closure is positioned on an opposite side of the surface of each ledge as compared to the body and includes internal ramps interfacing with the extensions to maintain the closure in place. The ring is positioned between the body and the ledges. The ring is entirely maintained below the surfaces of the ledges, and each ledge interacts with the ring to maintain the ring in place relative to the bottle.

Abstract: This invention pertains to a prescription drug lock box consisting of a container and a detachable combination locking cover assembly used to secure the contents held within. The container has an integrally formed key post positioned above its open end. The tumblers of the cover assembly engage the key post and lock to it thus securing contents held within. When the indicia of the tumblers and correct unlocking code are in alignment with a marker, the cover assembly may be installed or removed.

Abstract: This invention pertains to a combination locking storage container consisting of a tray and a detachable combination locking cover assembly used to secure the contents held within. The tray has an integrally formed key post at its uppermost position. The tumblers of the cover assembly engage the key post and lock to it. When the indicia of the tumblers and correct unlocking code are in alignment with a marker, the cover assembly may be installed or removed.

Abstract: A child resistant closure is provided that is configured to fit over the opening of a receptacle to form a container. The closure includes an inner dosage cup and an outer cap portion that receives and retains the inner dosage cup. The outer cap portion is rotatable relative to the inner dosage cup and defines at least one viewing window that allows for visual indication of a level of contents within the inner dosage cup.

Abstract: Devices and methods for the sealing of a container are disclosed. The devices and methods include stoppers that allow for removal of air from the container with a vacuum source. Various embodiments comprise a high-volume valve allowing for expeditious evacuation of the air. The stopper may also comprise a low vacuum indicator to indicate to the user whether the vacuum internal to the container is at or above a desired amount. The stopper may also comprise other indicators, such as a day of the week or month indicator. A rotating bezel may be used to identify temporal or other types of events, such as when the container was first opened.

Also disclosed is a method for tracking a last dosage that has been taken using a dosage cap assembly to aid in compliance of a dosage regimen.

In one embodiment, a solid-state laser marking system to mark a securing means of a substance container includes a semiconductor laser to emit a pumping laser beam. The solid-state laser marking system also includes a resonator to create the laser beam that is then focused through a lens to mark the securing means of the substance container having a maximum diameter of 5 cm. Further, the solid-state laser marking system includes a solid-state laser crystal doped with a rare-earth element, to produce a laser beam in response to being pumped by the pumping laser beam and a laser resonator. The laser resonator is configured to focus the laser beam of a spot size of less than 150 microns and a beam quality of M2 less than 1.3.

A tamper evident seal can be either non-obtrusive or act as a removable advertising skin. The twist on/off lid extends over the opening at the top of the vessel and down the sides of the walls, interlocking with beads, threads, other protrusions or indentations. The locking features, in securing a fluid tight seal, are located sufficiently below the rim of the glass to not interfere with the user's lips. Additionally, the leak proof lid reseals to minimize spills and for reuse of the product at a later time.

The label overlaps that portion of the thumb tab that extends below the parting line of the lid and body. When the thumb tub is lifted to open the container, the paper label is ripped in the area of the thumb tab to evidence opening.

A recessed portion extends from the rear portion distal sidewall. The recessed portion can be lifted to open the can.

Abstract: A TSA-compliant accessory kit facilitates the carry-on of approved liquids for air travel. The kit contains clear, three ounce plastic bottles. Each bottle has a secured cap with large grips in different colors and with raised symbols for ease of distinction. Abstract: Dual-mode container assemblies (30, 110) are provided which include an open-top container (32, 112) with a closure assembly (34, 114) having a skirt (36, 116) and a reversible lid (38, 118) presenting first and second opposed faces (82, 84, 160, 162) hingedly coupled to the skirt (36, 116). In the child-resistant configuration of the assemblies (30, 110), the lid (38, 118) is latched to the skirt (36, 116) by a latching arrangement (60, 100, 136, 177). In order to convert the container assemblies (30, 110) to an adult configuration, the lid (38, 118) is opened and rotated 180° while the lid (38, 118) remains connected to the skirt (36, 116). This reverses the lid face adjacent the open top of the container (32, 112). Closure of the reversed lid (38, 118) occurs without any latching function between the skirt (36, 116) and the lid (38, 118), so that the lid (38, 118) can be readily opened.
