    Abstract: A washing liquid jet device for an automobile window glass is disclosed, which comprises a first pumping unit for pumping a liquid in a first vessel, a second pumping unit for pumping a liquid in a second vessel, and a joining chamber having a first flow path and a second flow path. A unidirectional valve is provided at each of the joining chamber inlets of the flow paths such that it permits flow of liquid into the chamber but blocks the flow of liquid out of the chamber. A discharge side flow path of the first pumping unit is connected to the first flow path of the joining chamber, the discharge side flow path of the second pumping unit is connected to the second flow path of the joining chamber, and the outlet of the joining chamber is connected to one end of a feed-out duct, the other end of which is connected to a jet nozzle.

A third closure disk is preferably provided for presenting with a concentric guiding slot a first working element of a bayonet-type fastener the second working element of which is presented by the head portion of a coordinated discharge tube of a fitting.

Each straw also has an outer end, one of which is insertable into the patient's mouth for drinking the liquid radioactive iodine solution in the container, and the other of which is insertable into a glass of water so that, after the patient has drunk most of the liquid radioactive iodine solution in the container, the residue of the solution in the bottle may be flushed out by forming a partial vacuum in the interior of the bottle, thereby causing the water in the glass to be drawn into the interior of the container to be mixed with the residue of the solution and, thereafter, to be drawn into the mouth and drunk by the patient.

    Abstract: A container for pooling plasma and the like has an integral cap. The cap includes an air vent with an inline bacterial filter. The cap also includes a fluid passage to which a length of tubing is integrally connected. The tubing includes at its unattached end one or more connector members which can be coupled to a fluid source to enable fluid to be transferred into the container via the tubing. The connector members are releasably secured to the cap prior to use. After fluid transfer is complete, the transfer tubing is sealed and severed close to the cap. The cap includes a pocket which receives the remaining sealed end portion of the tubing to protect the sealed end portion from inadvertent contact and damage during subsequent handling. The cover includes a plug which can be moved into a position which hermetically seals the vent and, thus, the entire container.

    Abstract: A seal for a container having a straight cylindrical neck with an opening in the neck includes an upper sealing member which fits over the top of the neck and down a portion of the cylindrical surface of the neck. The top sealing member has a tapered edge on its bottom which accepts an indentically tapered edge of an intermediate sealing member which engages it. The intermediate sealing member also has a further tapered edge which accepts a tapered edge of a bottom sealing member which mates with it. A lower locking member goes around the cylindrical neck of the bottle and is shaped such that a portion of it is spaced away from the cylindrical neck of the bottle to form a cavity in which fits the intermediate and lower sealing members. A top locking member goes over the top sealing member and both a skirt on the top sealing member and the top locking member also fit within the cavity of the lower locking member. Threads between the upper and lower locking member hold the structure together.

Each of the openings can be closed off from inside the container with a separate plug, one plug being rigidly attached to the other. The plug that is associated with the air inlet is extended by a bolt that passes through it. The bolt is loaded with a spring in such a way that the plugs automatically close off both openings. A stopper is screwed into the neck of the container and has an external annular shoulder that rests on the upper edge of the neck.

    Abstract: A dispensing closure for liquid containing containers which have different neck diameters includes a cap having an annular skirt which engages the interior neck of the containers. The cross section of the annular skirt is noncircular due to an indented pouring spout which extends along the skirt, and which is distortable to maintain the annular skirt in engagement with container necks of different diameters. A follower bag when collapsed is housed entirely within the protecting annular skirt, and has an opening mouth sealed to the cap and contiguous with a vent aperture through the top of the cap. The follower bag is of a size, when inflated, on the order of the interior size of the container. A plunger has an elongated neck releasably secured within the vent aperture, and an enlarged head adjacent the open end of the annular skirt. Before liquid is dispensed, the plunger is forced into the chamber to cause the follower bag to fall onto the liquid surface.
