  • Patent number: 6951353
Abstract: The present invention relates to a medication management system that is simple, reliable and extremely easy to use. It comprises a label having a plurality of raised tabs that are depressed upon taking a medication to provide a tactile and a visual record of medication use. It can be secured to the medication container, and thus is not subject to being misplaced or forgotten. The system can be integrated with a pharmacy's computerized pharmaceutical record and prescription label printing system or it can be a stand-alone paste-on label. Alternatively, it can be used in combination with blister packs to dispense medication while maintaining a record of use. The label can be in the form of an overlay, which is placed over a preprinted container or a container having a prescription label. The use of a pressure sensitive releasable adhesive permits the removal of the overlay label in the event that is it necessary to read information on the underlying label.

  • Patent number: 6899239
Abstract: A baby bottle liner having a containment body including an inner surface, an outer surface, a first open end, a second sealed end, a first sealed side extending between the first open end and the second closed end, and a second sealed side extending between the first open end and the second sealed end on a side opposite the first sealed side thereby forming a cavity. An interlocking seal is positioned adjacent the first open side operable between a first position sealing the cavity and a second position providing access to the cavity. A pair of tabs extend from the first open side of the containment body. Each of the tabs has an aperture extending there through. When the seal is in the first position an airtight container is formed preventing air from affecting liquid contained within the cavity. A perforation extending along a length of the containment body allows one to selectively separate the tabs from the containment body.

Abstract: An originality-ensuring device for container closures (32), having an indicator element (35) subdivided by predetermined breaking points (37) into individual segments (36), the indicator element (35) being formed as a separate part for self-holding arrangement in the container (23), at least partially embracing the latter, and the segments (36) being arranged with respect to one another in such a way that, when there is a relative movement of the segments or segment parts (40), owing to a clamping reception of the indicator element (35) between a container closure (32) and a container shoulder (21), there takes place a severing of the predetermined breaking points (37) for individual separation of the segments (36) and the latter are held in a clamping manner.

  • Patent number: 5531338
Abstract: A nursing device, as disclosed, includes a tubular container adapted for holding a liquid having a top end, a bottom end, and a longitudinal axis, wherein the container has a symmetrical, cross-sectional area substantially along the longitudinal axis. The nursing device also includes a nipple attached to the top end of the container and directional marker on the surface of the container for orienting the tubular container. The nursing device further includes a plurality of point markers located on the surface of the tubular container in space relationship from the top end of the tubular container and perpendicular to a plane formed by the longitudinal axis and directional marker.

  • Patent number: 5516038
Abstract: In a box which is made of cardboard or other rigid material and has a rectangular prism-like shape, one or two opposite faces have an inspection port which is closed with transparent material and is flanked by a graduated scale used to determine, according to the level reached after one or more partial removals, the weight of the short pasta or rice left in the box and any corresponding calories. The removal outlet, closed by a tear-open tab, is provided in one of the two faces that are normal to the face or faces provided with the inspection port and the graduated scale; the handle that makes it easier to grip the box protrudes on the opposite face.

  • Patent number: 5330054
Abstract: A beverage bottle having fingergrip indentations which facilitate grasping and holding of the bottle without slipping. The location of the fingergrips in relation to a label bearing a brand name affords a high degree of brand name visibility in environments where consumption of the contents is directly from the bottle. Special geometry of the fingergrip indentations permits high speed filling of the bottles with beer without excessive turbulence and foaming.

  • Patent number: 5289929
Abstract: This relates to the provision of a vacuum actuated button type closure with a tamper indicating arrangement which will visually indicate when a container has been opened or more particularly when the vacuum within a vacuum packed container has been lost. The deflectable button of the closure is utilized to squeeze a dye from a sponge like member into a layer of absorbent material so as to color the absorbent material. The absorbent material, in turn, is provided with non-absorbent areas which define indicia to indicate that an associated container has been opened.

  • Patent number: 5263599
Abstract: A device useful in the feeding of infants is provided which includes an at least partially transparent or transluscent container having an open mouth centered on its longitudinal axis at its top end, and a nipple removably attached to the top end of the container so as to cover and protrude from the open mouth thereof. Graduated markings are provided on the container in spaced relation to the open mouth which are located, respectively, in selected sloping, non-parallel planes which are (1) normal to a first vertical plane containing the longitudinal axis of the container, (2) intersect at an acute angle a second vertical plane containing the longitudinal axis of the container and which is located normal to the first vertical plane, and (3) do not intersect each other within the volume defined by the container.

  • Patent number: 5236101
Abstract: The invention relates to a tamper-indicating radiation-proof film container. The container comprises a canister having an opening defined therein, and a closure member having a peripheral canister-engaging portion. A tamper-indicating seal is located between adjacent contact surfaces of the canister-engaging portion and the canister, and the closure member is translucent for enabling the condition of the tamper-indicating seal to be viewed. Shielding means are provided for shielding the contents of the container from ionising radiation. The shielding means may be in the form of an intermediate lead layer and an inner barium-impregnated plastics layer which lines both the canister and the closure member. The tamper-indicating seal incorporates indicia containing information relating to the contents of the container.
