Hoops Patents (Class 217/91)
  • Patent number: 10184098
Abstract: A uniquely designed rectangular vessel has been developed for storing and aging liquids—commonly wine and spirits. Its economical and simplistic design offers significant benefits over the use of traditional barrels and other previously proposed arts. Constructed from wood (generally oak), its inner surfaces have been modified to maximize end grain exposure thus significantly reducing the required aging period. In addition, this vessel's inner surface area to volume ratio (directly related to the wood's extraction concentration within the liquid) can be adjusted to meet the user's specific needs.

  • Patent number: 10065776
Abstract: A clamping collar comprising a looped metal strap (10), and a transverse buckle (12) retained at the first end of the strap. On the outer side, the buckle forms a passage (13) through which the second end of the strap (10B) is inserted. The buckle has an inner portion (14) that is disposed against the inner face of the first end of the strap and that has a blocking transverse edge (14A) that co-operates with a blocking transverse stop (16A) of the first end of the strap that defines a blocking setback (16). The second end (10B) of the strap has a retaining transverse stop (11) received in the blocking setback (16) and co-operating in abutment with a retaining edge (17A) of said blocking setback to retain the second end of the strap to prevent it from moving in the direction in which the diameter of the collar increases.

  • Patent number: 9200862
Abstract: A wristband slingshot that can be used to launch projectiles. The invention preferably has two holes on either end designed to fit a user's fingers. The finger holes are used to stretch the device between two of the user's fingers so a projectile can be launched from the center, which has an increased area—acting as a pouch. The center section with increased area, or pouch, preferably contains grooves and a hole in the center in order to grip and center a projectile. While the main function of the current invention is to act as a projectile launcher, it is designed to have multiple functions. The device preferably comprises a clasping mechanism that is integrated into finger holes already contained in the device.

  • Patent number: 4484688
Abstract: A rectangular barrel-like structure having four wooden stave sides and two wooden stave head sections, joined together by specially designed triangular corner members. Each of the staves used in making the side walls and in making the head sections are of white oak and are of tongue-and-groove construction. Additionally, each of the staves utilized in the wall sections contains a croze at the top and at the bottom for snug engagement with the staves forming the head sections. Each of the triangular corner members is truncated at the junction of the leg and the base of the triangle so as to form a planar section equal in width to the width of the wall section stave. The truncated planar section contains a projecting tongue on one side for engagement with a complementary groove of a wall stave of one side section and a complementary groove on the other for engagement with a projecting tongue of one of the wall staves of the other wall section.
