  • Patent number: 11262092
Abstract: When a humidity condition, including a humidity detected by a temperature and humidity sensor and a humidification load sensing unit falling below a threshold value, is met, an outside air conditioner supplies the heated and humidified air into the room. When the humidity condition is met during the indoor heating operation, the indoor heating operation is stopped or weakened. When the humidity condition is met, only the outside air conditioner is subjected to a heating and humidifying operation. Since the indoor air is not heated by the inside air conditioner more than necessary, when a heating load is low and a humidification load is present, a “conflicting state” can be prevented in which the inside air conditioner is subjected to a cooling and dehumidifying operation and the outside air conditioner is subjected to the heating and humidifying operation.

  • Patent number: 9756932
Abstract: In one example, we describe a method and system for toothbrush sterilization and/or storage with better quality in terms of hygiene and convenience, where the brush head and the shaft that enter the user's mouth are never contacted by the chamber. Also, below the brush head and shaft, there is no chamber. If any drops of water were to fall off the brush head, they would fall all the way through the chamber and reside on the counter on which the chamber rests, which can be removed or cleaned easily later. In one example, we use a UV-C lamp as our sterilization technique. This selection has many advantages over the other sterilizations techniques. In one example, we use a single lamp, but that lamp is in a ring configuration (otherwise known as annular, torus, or donut), with good coverage of the toothbrush, from all angles.

  • Patent number: 9713201
Abstract: A washcloth steamer is designed as a counter top device for a consumer to effectively and efficiently heat a single, wetted washcloth to a temperature of between 150 and 212 degrees Fahrenheit. The washcloth steamer is formed with a bowl-type housing containing a heating plate therein. The wetted washcloth is provided around or about upper and lower surfaces of the heating plate. When the clamshell type housing is closed about the heating plate and wetted washcloth, the heating plate is activated to heat the wetted washcloth for a predetermined or until the washcloth or the heating plate reach a maximum temperature. Because the heating plate is configured to quickly heat the washcloth and water, a moisture sensor is included that is relied upon to deactivate the heating plate if the detected moisture is too low, to avoid singeing or igniting the washcloth.

  • Patent number: 9516972
Abstract: A system and method are provided for warming a nutritional substance (i.e. mother's milk or formulated liquids) for ingestion by a neonate. Structurally, the system includes a warmer for holding a container of the nutritional substance as it is simultaneously vibrated and warmed in preparation for the neonate, and it includes a controller which determines how the system will be operated. For an operation of the present invention, a user provides input to the system controller to establish a mode of operation (e.g. warming; warming-frozen; or thawing). The user will also input a predetermined protocol to the controller. During the operation, a heat sensor monitors temperatures of the nutritional substance which are provided as feedback input to the controller for operating the warmer in accordance with the protocol.

  • Patent number: 9364106
Abstract: System and method for identifying, measuring and analyzing food nutritional values and consumer eating behaviors is disclosed. A food container, having weight sensors and food identification sensors, identifies weight, type, and preparation status of the food item being consumed by the user from the food container. Based on the identified information, the nutritional value of the food item is determined and observed. The food container in communication with the system components may provide the user a recommended meal plan to improve the user's health condition. In addition, the food container issues an alert to the user when the user puts too much, too less, or the right amount of food items in the food container or eats the food items too fast.
