Hot water is poured into a chamber of the lid to brew the beverage. The brewed beverage is fed into an underlying cup through an outlet in the lid. The beverage can be consumed through an opening in the lid without removing the spent grounds contained in the lid, from which the beverage was brewed.

Abstract: A cover for a medical waste disposal receptacle and a method of manufacturing a cover for a medical waste disposal receptacle. The cover generally comprises a body portion configured to substantially close an open end of the receptacle and a lid portion hingedly interconnected to the body portion via an integrally formed hinge extending between the lid portion and a portion of the body portion. The body portion includes a covering surface with an access opening therethrough and at least a first, fixed sloped slide surface depending from the covering surface configured to provide a fixed tortuous path extending from the access opening.

Abstract: An opening device for straws for liquid food containers enables a straw hole to be easily opened by piercing with a straw while avoiding easy leakage or breakage due to external force from vibrations or the like during delivery. The device includes a base and a main body, formed from packaging material, both sides of the base paper of which have been laminated with thermoplastic resin and a top, formed from thermoplastic resin, which is joined to the top of the main body. An opening of the opening device for straws, integrated with the top section, is provided with a plurality of step sections and between-step sections on the front and back surfaces. The front between-step sections and the back between-step sections overlap at the edge of each of the step sections, with the thickness at the edge of the between-step sections being thinner than that of the steps.

A container system including a container and the carrier is also provided.

A shock absorbing element extends about the neck and is connected at one end to the neck. A closure cap is connected to the shock absorbing element or cartridge by a hinge to selectively open and close the discharge passage(s). When in the closure position over the discharge passage(s), the closure cap is recessed within and spaced from the shock absorbing element to avoid being loosened by an impact force.

The upper body portion is configured to include a fastener that allows a user to selectively lock the panel in place by pivoting the upper body portion relative to the remainder of the flask. When the openable upper body portion is locked in place on the remainder of the flask, the upper body portion provides a leak proof seal such that a liquid may be contained in the flask without escaping. When the openable upper body portion is opened, access to an interior volume or compartment of the flask is provided, which facilitates simplified and more effective cleaning of the flask.

Abstract: A stopper for plugging a developer filling port includes a stopper main body and a lock member engageable with the stopper main body. The stopper main body is configured to be fitted to the filling port and shaped like a tube with a bottom. The lock member has a rigidity greater than that of the stopper main body, the lock member engaged with the stopper main body serves to restrict deformation of the stopper main body. A developing device for use in an image forming apparatus includes the stopper configured as described above to be fitted to its developer filling port.

Abstract: A content-saving system featuring a plunger series, a cap series, and a winder series. After a hand-squeeze type tube or a cartridge gun type tube is opened for use, the caps are used to prevent hardening of contents during storage. The winder aids in forcing the contents out of the hand-squeeze tube. If the product contents harden to prevent use, the plunger is used to clear the obstruction in the end of either type tube. Additional caps of both sizes and winders may be provided with the plunger assembly in kit form or sold separately when the consumer needs additional units for storage surplus.

The valve and the knob are sealed and immobilized with a plastic foil. Abstract: Containers and methods are provided for dispensing a liquid concentrate utilizing one or more desirable properties including a generally consistent discharge across a range of squeeze forces, a generally consistent discharge with the same force without significant dependence on the amount of liquid concentrate in the container, a substantially dripless or leak proof outlet opening, a jet that minimizes splashing when the liquid concentrate impacts a target liquid, and a jet that maximizes mixing between the liquid concentrate and the target liquid to produce a generally homogenous mixture without the use of extraneous utensils or shaking. Also provided are liquid beverage concentrates that can be cold filled during packaging while maintaining shelf stability for at least about three months at ambient temperatures. Concentrates are provided having low pH, with or without alcohol, and with buffers to allow for increased acid content at a selected pH.

Preferably, the number and shape of the intentions is sufficient to match the shape of many radiator caps.

Abstract: Heat-sealable seal including a support bonded to an inner seal by a temporary adhesive is provided. The inner seal has a pull-tab which is folded back once on the surface of the inner seal in contact with the corresponding surface of the support. The inner seal includes a laminate having a reinforcing layer and a sheet of a conducting material, to the lower surface of which is applied a heat-sealing film. The temporary adhesive is applied to the whole surface of the inner seal once the pull-tab is folded back. The seal is characterized in that the laminate has over its entire thickness a notch from which the pull-tab emerges, and a fold line formed by the pull-tab once the pull-tab is folded back, the fold line having a shorter length than the length of the notch. Methods of producing the seal are also disclosed.

The trigger lock may also contain a visual indicator to indicate that the lock is in the locked position.

A protective substrate is supplied between a “ring of concern” and a safety cover in which an adhesive layer of the substrate engages the “ring of concern”. A compressive foam strip along an opposite side of the substrate engages a safety cover such that a compressive force is maintained between the “ring of concern” and the adhesive layer of the substrate.
