Patent number: 11610703Abstract: A process for producing an electrical conductor structure that involves embedding at least one metallic conductor track and at least one heating conductor in an electrically insulating substrate, and producing an electric current in the heating conductor so that a first layer of the substrate and a second layer of the substrate fuse in an area surrounding the heating conductor, to seal an interface between the two layers. A conductor structure is also disclosed, in particular in the form of an implantable electrode lead.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 2019Date of Patent: March 21, 2023Assignee: BIOTRONIK SE & Co. Patent number: 9249340Abstract: A layer of adhesive is applied along a separation interface defined between a first surface of a first component and a second surface of a second component. A first portion of a pull cord is embedded into the adhesive layer along the separation interface and between the first and second surfaces. The first portion of the pull cord is positioned to enable the separation interface to be cleaved such that the first component is uncoupled from the second component. A second portion of the pull cord extends externally to the adhesive layer.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 2011Date of Patent: February 2, 2016Assignee: THE BOEING COMPANYInventors: Terry A. Patent number: 6102237Abstract: Various embodiments of a sealing member disposed between a container body and an endpiece attached thereto are disclosed, as well as a method for disposing a sealing member between an endpiece and a container body. In one embodiment, a sealing member is disposed within a space between a container body flange and a corresponding portion of the sidewall of the container body, is disposed between a space between an endpiece flange and a corresponding portion of an endpiece wall, and is further disposed between the endpiece flange and container body flange. As such, the sealing member has a generally S-shaped configuration in cross-section. At least one and preferably two scores are incorporated on the sealing member to facilitate at least a partial removal of the endpiece from the container body so as to be able to access the contents of the container.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 1999Date of Patent: August 15, 2000Assignee: Ball CorporationInventors: Tuan A. Nguyen, Howard Curtis Chasteen, Michael Duane Richardson

Patent number: 5875914Abstract: An open-ended container body is covered, preferably sealingly, by an endpiece/sealing-member. An annular flange of the endpiece/sealing-member is captured by crimping with a container body flange. The endpiece/sealing-member flange is coupled to the remainder of the endpiece/sealing-member by a tear strip which, upon removal, permits the remainder of the endpiece/sealing-member to be fully or partially removed from the open end of the container. The tearstrip is preferably integrally formed with the remainder of the endcap.Type: GrantFiled: September 12, 1997Date of Patent: March 2, 1999Assignee: Ball CorporationInventors: Tuan A. Patent number: 4781304Abstract: Plastic portions of a container rim and mating lid are fused together by an electrical conductor wire loop positioned therebetween when electromagnetically coupled to an induction heating coil. The wire forms a tab extending outside the closed container which may be manually manipulated to remove a lid fused in place to close the container. This container may be hermetically sealed with sanitized foodstuff or the like by concurrently sterilizing with microwave energy while fusing the lid in place.Type: GrantFiled: October 6, 1987Date of Patent: November 1, 1988Assignee: The Laitram CorporationInventor: James M. Patent number: 4396117Abstract: A capsule for the storage and vibration mixing of two components, particularly for dental uses comprises a mixing chamber in which one of the components is stored, the chamber having an aperture which is closed by means of a removable closure member and a foil bag which can be ruptured without disintegration by the mixing movement is housed in the mixing chamber and contains the other component in liquid form. The liquid component is a high specific gravity liquid such as mercury and the closure member is sealingly secured to that part of the capsule which forms the mixing chamber by a seal which has a predetermined breaking strength, formed conveniently by a weld or adhesive. Externally the closure member presents a cylindrical socket to which can be fitted a cylindrical lever for the purpose of breaking the seal to remove the closure member and allow access to the interior of the mixing chamber for withdrawal of the mix.Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 1981Date of Patent: August 2, 1983Assignee: Ernst Muhlbauer KGInventor: Ernst Muhlbauer

Patent number: 3966114Abstract: A rupturable seal for a container of the type having an insertable lid wherein the seal constitutes a membrane having a cylindrical portion extending into the open end of the container to beyond the insertion depth of the lid, the upper edge of the cylindrical portion being adhered to the inner surface of the container, the seal having a transverse portion extending across the interior of the container to close it. A tear strip surrounds the cylindrical portion between it and the inner surface of the container and protrudes through an opening in the cylindrical portion to form a holding flap which can be pulled, after the lid is removed, to rupture the membrane which is then removed. An upper portion of the membrane wraps over the open edge of the box to form a protective covering therefor which remains. In an alternative embodiment the tear strip extends around the inner surface of the cylindrical portion and is adhered thereto.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 1975Date of Patent: June 29, 1976Assignee: Max Sandherr AGInventor: Walter Schellenberg
