The closing element is designed as a tube element (124) made of flexible material and is connected to the pressure equalizing opening (123). The tube element (124) is closed in a gas-tight and/or fluid-tight manner by way of a reversible cross-sectional constriction when the actuating element (110) is in the closed position.

Abstract: A cap for a container configured for dispensing single items, such as pills, held in said container. The cap channel extends from an upper surface to a lower end providing a passageway through the cap to allow for a predetermined quantity of items to be transferred through a port in an upper portion of the cap. The cap has a lid moveable from a closed position to an open position. In its closed position dispensing of items is prevented; in its open position at least one item is dispensed through the port. A gate is operable, in a first orientation to partially block the passageway and, in a second orientation, to unblock the passageway to allow a preset number of items, to pass through. Alternatively, a diverter is incorporated to control flow of the contents.

In an outside air shut-off container according to the present invention, an inert gas is supplied between an O-ring, which hermetically seals a process chamber and a cover member, and the outside air while a gas passage formed between the O-ring and the outside air is covered with a sealing cover. Additionally, an aluminum oxide layer is formed on a contact surface of the O-ring to increase the pyrolysis temperature of the O-ring.
