    Abstract: A communications box for use beneath the surface of artificial turf includes a container having a peripherally-extending upper edge. A first resilient flexible seal extends vertically from and along the peripherally-extending top edge of the container. A cover includes a peripherally-extending edge, and at least one hand hole extending through the cover. A second resilient flexible seal extends vertically from and along the peripherally-extending edge of the cover. The cover and the second flexible seal are sized to be received within the first flexible seal extending from the peripherally-extending top edge of the container, and the first and the second resilient flexible seals prevent material from falling into the communications box when the cover is removed from the container. Seals may be provided around the hand hole and a lid receivable therein. Methods for preventing track material from falling into a container of a communications box when a cover is removed are also disclosed.

The mounting bracket includes, integrally formed therewith, an attachment structure for directly securing the bracket to the stud and positionally fixing the bracket without the use of additional securement hardware. The bracket may be a U-shaped member having a planar face abutting the face of the stud and a pair of spaced apart arms extending therefrom for engagement with opposite sides of the stud. The assembly may also support more than one box/frame. The box and frame may be supported on either side of the bracket.

    Abstract: A quarter turn slide lock assembly having a base, a cover, a slider, a rotator, springs and washers. The base includes a channel for the slider to move between extended and retracted positions. The slider includes internal and exterior cam follower surfaces. The rotator has a hex head for 90° rotation by a special tool and a cam arm for engaging the internal cam follower surface of the slider. The external cam follower surface is biased by an abutting surface on an object to be locked and the springs bias the slider in an opposite direction to an interference fit with the object. The base includes a smooth, slanted outer surface to avoid snags and the washers reinforce the slide lock so that rivets used to attach the slide lock to an object to be locked are strongly secured. The cover snap fits to the base for a simple and reliable slide lock assembly.

Retention clips are placed in upper and lower flanges of the extension sleeve and the electrical component is tightened, drawing the extension and the component flush against the outer surface of the drywall.

    Abstract: An outlet box is disclosed. The outlet box has a base including a rear surface of the outlet box, and a cover including a front surface of the outlet box. The cover is configured to engagingly fit over the base. An intermediate portion extends from one or both of the base and cover and extends generally between the rear surface and the front surface. The cover, the base, and the intermediate portion cooperatively define an interior of the outlet box when the cover and the base are engagingly fitted together. The intermediate portion includes a pair of opposed inwardly inclined portions and a pair of set-off portions extending from the inner more ends of the inwardly inclined portions, and at least one of the inclined portions includes an aperture therein. A connector is disposed within the base, and the connector has an opening for receiving a plug.

    Abstract: An assembly is disclosed for finding and withdrawing wire and cable ends from locations inside a wall which is being constructed where they have been temporarily brought. The assembly includes a plaster ring fastened to a wall stud. A plaster ring cover plate is temporarily attached to the plaster ring. A hitch is provided on the plaster ring cover plate for joining the wire or cable ends to the cover plate. A tying member may be used to tie the wire or cable end to the cover plate if desired. A method for retrieving the wire and cable ends is also disclosed which includes placing a plaster ring near a location where the wire or cable ends are brought, providing a plaster ring cover plate which is removably engaged on the plaster ring with a hitch for receiving the wire or cable end, engaging the wire or cable end on the hitch, and engaging the plaster ring cover plate on the plaster ring.

The electrical junction box comprises a lock protection section including right and left ribs that project from the outer surface of the casing on the opposite sides of the lock section so that the right and left ribs extend to a position higher than the lock section. A distance between the right and left ribs is set to be smaller than a width of the bracket.

    Abstract: A telescoping box adapter that enables a user to adjust the enclosure on an electrical box from a compressed to an expanded configuration. The telescoping box adapter includes a first frame member that is secured to an electrical box. Additional frame members can be provided with successively larger sidewalls thus making each additional frame member slideable with respect to the next smaller frame member. A cover is secured to the outermost frame member and is movable from an open to a closed position. Sliding the outermost frame member fully forward adjusts the box adapter to a fully expanded configuration forming an expanded enclosure therein. Sliding the outermost frame member fully rearward adjusts the box adapter to a fully compressed configuration forming a compressed enclosure therein.
