Abstract: An improved vial assembly is provided for storing a quantity of material for cryogenic freezing, such as a sample of semen for use in artificial insemination. The vial assembly includes a locking mechanism to prevent the vial from being opened and then reclosed prior to final use. The locking mechanism includes a pair of apertured locking members, one on the vial, and one on the cap of the vial. The locking members are positioned for mutual alignment only when the cap is securely tightened onto the vial. A locking pin is provided for one-way insertion through the apertures of the locking members to prevent the cap from being removed without severing or destroying the locking pin. With this locking mechanism, the integrity of the contents of the vial is substantially ensured until the vial is selected for use and the locking pin is severed in the presence of a patient recipient. A secondary vial is also provided which mounts to the main vial.

Abstract: A container is arranged with a central core support, with the core support having radially displaced vanes fixedly mounted relative to a central spine, wherein each vane fixedly mounts a floor and array of divider walls. The core support is mounted between front and rear walls, with the rear wall hingedly mounting a lid over each array of divider walls.

Abstract: A container for beads and the like has a body connecting a group of individual compartments. Each compartment is relatively shallow for providing easy access to the contents; and, the bottom of each compartment is sloped so beads will move towards the wall of the compartment, and the bottom is concave so it will not be scratched when resting on surfaces. The container has a plurality of alignment posts to facilitate stacking of containers. The compartments have separate, individually removable, lids so any number of selected compartments can be uncovered for use while the rest remain covered for safety. The compartments are uniformly spaced so a plurality of compartments can be uncovered simultaneously, and beads in a plurality of compartments poured from one container to another.

Abstract: A holder has two main walls, a plurality of transverse walls, and an internal partition extending parallel to the two main walls to divide the holder into two compartments. At one side the holder has a first opening, which gives access to the first compartment, and a second opening, which gives access to the second compartment. The holder further comprises a cover arrangement with a first cover, which in the closed position closes the first opening, and a second cover, which in a closed position closes the second opening and extends both over the first opening and the second opening. The first cover is connected to the partition via a first hinge and the second cover is connected to the first cover via a second hinge.

Abstract: A housing includes spaced side walls and a top wall, with a front wall thereof defining a plurality of pivotally mounted doors providing access interiorly of the housing. An upper door plate is pivotally mounted above the door and between a forward edge of the top walls and the doors to provide access to a top wall pivoting plate mounting a can crusher and can opener to permit processing of various cans and their deposit within one of a plurality of pivoting door plates mounted rearwardly and hingedly within a top wall. Underlying replaceable bag members are mounted to receive the processed cans and other recycled material. A modification of the structure includes an aerosol apparatus automatically actuated upon downward projection of a pivoting door of the rows of pivoting doors positioned above the bags.

Abstract: The combined cup of the present invention for soft drinks is constituted with an upper cup body and a lower cup body jointed together by a connecting body; and in the center of the connecting body, there is formed a nozzle sticking upward to be received into the nozzle sleeve formed on the upper cup body so as to keep both cup bodies firmly connected. The lower cup body is used to contain soft drink while the upper cup body is used to contain solid snacks. By applying such combined cup, the user can therefore enjoy the fun of eating and drinking with one hand holding the combined cup containing both snacks and drink and one hand free.

Abstract: A carrying case which in particular may be used by a visitor to a trade show where numerous sizes and shapes of objects are distributed for the visitor to take home, some of which are large posters or comparable objects which are preferably carried in the rolled up condition. The case includes various slots for holding disks, business cards, paper and pens, etc. A key point of novelty in the present invention is the use of an attachable cylindrical holder which essentially consists of a cylindrical body formed of semi-rigid material such as thick nylon, and having attaching snaps that enable the cylindrical member to be attached to the case. Alternatively, the entire case can be made of one piece construction wherein the cylindrical holder is permanently attached to the main case.

Abstract: A yarn/needlecraft accessory storage device is provided. The storage device has a hinged lid which when opened allows access to the interior. The interior section has vertically oriented cavities designed to hold yarn. Each of these cavities has a lid with a small hole in it. A small portion of yarn is placed in this small hole to indicate the color of the yarn stored therein. Also, the yarn may be pulled through the small holes to permit knitting. The storage device is designed to be of light-weight construction and portable. A cushion is attached atop the hinged lid to allow the yarn cabinet to function as a stool.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a recyclable garbage separator having an outer container and a plurality of modular inner containers adapted to be locatable within the outside container. The outside container may have pivotable cover portions having openings therein substantially corresponding to the size of the openings in the upper surface of the inner containers. The structure may be formed of recycled material and the outer container may have large openings formed in the walls thereof to reduce the weight of the container and the amount of material necessary to make the container.

Abstract: A refuse collection unit for household use comprising a container body defining a first storage area adapted to receive at least a conventional plastic refuse bag therein and a second storage area adapted to receive at least two removable rigid liners in a side-by-side disposition therein. The removable liners are each used to store a particular type of recyclable refuse material therein, and the conventional plastic refuse bag for storage of nonrecyclable refuse. The liners include a bottom wall, three liner walls and an upwardly stepped fourth wall. Hand-gripping elements are provided on each of said liners. The first storage area rises higher than the second storage area for easy recognition of the areas. In addition, a pair of hinged cover members are provided, one for the first storage area and the other for the second storage area. A third liner may be placed in the first storage area to occupy substantially one-half of said first storage area.

There are dividers extending across the upper end of the receptacle to divide it into compartments. Abstract: An apparatus for transporting, storing and carrying a plurality of bowling balls, bowling accessories and equipment, includes a housing having vertically stacked interior compartments for storing bowling balls. Each compartment is adequate to house a single bowling ball. The housing is integrally molded with and rests on top of a base member having wheels. The base member includes a drawer compartment for storing bowling accessories and equipment. The base also includes a handle for lifting the entire apparatus. Each interior compartment is equipped with a pivotal front opening and closing bowling ball support. Each support includes a pair of molded orthogonal legs, with one constituting a cradle for holding a bowling ball in front of the housing when the support is tilted forward, and the second leg is provided with a central aperture for providing a stable position for a bowling ball to rest on within the housing, when the support is closed.

Abstract: A receptacle for facilitating separating of recyclable trash includes a container body, flat panels for forming a plurality of adjustable-size separate compartments in the container body, and a single-stage single-level lid hingedly mounted on the container body. Alternatively, the receptacle can have a two-stage bi-level lid and bag retainer assembly which includes a lower annular bag retainer member and an upper cover member. The lower bag retainer member is hinged and releasably matable to the container body for holding and securing an open top edge of trash bags on the container body. The upper cover member is hinged to the lower annular bag retainer member for opening and closing and can have slidable doors to permit access to the separate compartments in the container body and the trash bags held therein.

Abstract: A notebook organizer is disclosed which is sufficiently thin for convenient use in a ringed notebook. In its broadest aspects, the organizer comprises a base having a substantially flat bottom surface. The base has a border with a plurality of holes therethrough, the holes being adapted for engagement with the rings of a ringed notebook. The base includes a plurality of partitions dividing the base into a plurality of compartments. There is a lid associated with at least one of the compartments, including a lock for releasably securing the lid in a closed position. The lid has a substantially flat upper surface.

Abstract: A lid device for a wide-mouthed container comprises a metallic lid body having an inner margin defining an opening of a predetermined shape, and a closure member made of a soft synthetic resin for closing said opening of said lid body. The closure member is integrally formed with a pull tab used to open the closure member along a weakening line. The entire outer surface of the closure member is covered by a vapor impervious film, so that passage of water vapor through the lid device can be prevented even if the closure member itself is vapor pervious.

Abstract: A hard case for chess equipment is provided and consists of a housing having three front compartments and a rear compartment. A lid is hinged to the housing over the three front compartments while a door is hinged to the end wall of the housing at the rear compartment. A removable padded receptacle is for protecting and storing chess pieces within the first and third front compartments. A removable tray is for protecting and storing a chess clock within the second front compartment. An elongated tube is for protecting and storing a roll up type chess board within the rear compartment. A handle is attached to one side wall of the housing for carrying the hard case from place to place. In another embodiment the housing has an enlarged compartment directly behind the other compartments with a second lid hinged thereto so that books and the like can be stored therein. A pocket is affixed to the underside of the second lid for holding various papers and the like.

Abstract: An improved trash separator container is provided and consists of a housing having a closed bottom wall and an open top. A first mechanism is within the housing, for dividing the housing into multiple compartments to separately store different types of trash items which are to be recycled therefrom. A top cover fits over the open top of the housing. A second mechanism is in said top cover, for gaining access into each of the compartments so as to deposit the different types of trash items into the compartments. A third mechanism is connected to the closed bottom wall of the housing, for rotating the housing latitudinally along its axis when placed upon a flat surface so that one portion of the access mechanism will always face a person, allowing the person to deposit the trash items into one of the selective compartments.

Abstract: A medication dispenser includes a reusable container adapted to receive one or more disposable multicompartment liners for sanitary storage of medication out of contact with the reusable container. The open-topped compartments of the liner are closed by individual covers which are locked onto the container with a fracturable tab which must be broken to open a compartment. The covers are designed to form at least a Class B closure with the liner compartments for tamper-proof sanitary air-tight storage of a patient's medication. When the liners are removed, the broken tabs from the covers may be dumped from the compartments.

Abstract: A multi-compartment container is disclosed herein for storing and transporting personal feminine products. The container comprises a plurality of compact multiple sized compartments extending over and under one another. The compartments each have a respective cover member that only reveals the contents of one particular compartment. The container is designed with rounded edges both inside and outside the compartments to protect the contents and the container.
